One Piece: New Century Hextech Warriors

Chapter 29 Exorbitant Prices

Katakuri stood ramrod straight, trying his best to maintain his dignity.

He has never retreated voluntarily since he can remember, not even when he was a child facing those lunatics on Beehive Island!

I never expected that we would capsize in such a ditch as the West Sea.

Sith chuckled inwardly when he saw Katakuri's face turn as if he had eaten shit.

The outcome of this battle was already decided the moment he kidnapped Daifuku; Katakuri would never allow his younger siblings to be harmed before his eyes.

Katakuri ordered the pirates still fighting to stop, and pointed his trident at Sith:

"Don't wear that victor's smile. Get this straight, I didn't lose. I'm just too lazy to fight trash like you anymore."

Sith, completely unconcerned, raised his hands and laughed heartily:

"I know, I know, Katakuri is the perfect older brother, he never loses."

Katakuri is such a tsundere, and he just happens to love teasing tsunderes.

Katakuri has a "well" character on his forehead, and he always seems like he's asking for a beating!

He let out a long sigh to calm himself, and slowly said:

"Hand over my brother and we'll leave."

But Sith shook his head:

"Look at you, always in such a hurry."

"You pirates swaggered into the West Blue, hurt so many innocent people, and even fought with the Marines. Do you think you can just leave without paying a price?"

Katakuri was speechless for a moment.

In his view, he had already done a great favor by letting Sith go. Did a mere colonel really expect the Big Mom Pirates to pay a price?

He whispered viciously:

"Uriel Sith, I'm warning you, don't push your luck!"

Sith picked at his ear and sighed softly:

"Then there's no other way. How about I stall you here while my men take Charlotte Bigfat to Impel Down?"

"You've probably heard of that place, haven't you? There seem to be quite a few perverts there. What if your brother suffers some kind of ultimate humiliation..."

"That's enough!"

Katakuri interrupted him, his fists clenched so tightly they cracked.

He knew Sith was deliberately provoking him, but even just thinking about it sent chills down his spine.

He would never allow his younger brother, who was born with him, to be harmed!

The key point is that he knows the Sith are fully capable of doing it. Although this young navy man cannot defeat him, he can at least keep him occupied.

Katakuri finally gave in, and said wearily:

"Tell me, what do you want?"

Sith was waiting for him to say that, and he chuckled:

"Not much, just give me three billion Berries."

Katakuri's eyes practically popped out.

"Are you kidding me?!"

His mother's bounty was only over 4 billion Berries, and the Whitebeard, who was known as the "strongest man in the world," only had a bounty of 5 billion.

Although the bounty is just a reference figure set by the Navy, and the Four Emperors possess far more wealth than that, 3 billion Berries is still an exaggerated number.

He held up five fingers and said coldly:

"I only have 500 million Berries."

Sith spread his hands:

"Hey, is that all your brother's worth? He shouldn't be worth less than two billion!"

Katakuri's eyes were practically spitting fire:

"At most 800 million!"

"1.8 billion".

"Nine hundred million!"

……

After some haggling, Katakuri finally agreed to give the Sith one billion Berries, plus three Devil Fruits he had looted this time.

These are all Katakuri's personal assets. As the second strongest fighter in the Big Mom Pirates, he has these things; it's just that he's emptied his coffers.

Moreover, he couldn't even protect his younger brother, so he has no face to ask his mother for this money.

Sith pulled out a pen and paper, quickly wrote down his bank account number, handed it to him, and smiled:

"Just transfer it to me when you get back."

This is no small amount; Katakuri doesn't have that much cash on him.

Katakuri took the note and snorted coldly:

"Aren't you afraid I'll renege on my debt?"

Sith shook his head:

I know you're not that kind of person.

That's the truth. Katakuri's moral standards are definitely top-notch among pirates, and he's very concerned about his reputation, so he wouldn't go back on his word.

Katakuri was taken aback, feeling that he understood the Sith even less.

This guy's words are infuriating, but he seems to know him very well.

Sith beckoned for his men to carry the boxes containing the Devil Fruits onto the ship, and at the same time, he brought Charlotte Daifuku down.

"I'm sorry, brother!"

Dafu had woken up, his hands and feet were handcuffed with sea stone, and he cried pitifully when he saw his older brother.

"Help him untie it."

Sith nodded to the escorting marines. Daifuku, now free, immediately began rubbing his body in preparation to summon the Lamp Demon, his malevolent eyes sweeping over Sith.

He was careless and didn't dodge just now. He definitely won't lose if it happens again!

"stop!"

Katakuri's muffled voice came from under the scarf, causing Daifuku to stop in his tracks.

"I've already spoken with the Navy, it's time to go home."

He said to his younger brother.

Dafu looked completely puzzled:

"Why, bro? Now's the perfect opportunity to take down these bastards!"

He had never encountered such a failure since he set sail, and he simply couldn't tolerate it!

Snapped.

Katakuri teleported in front of him and gave him a light tap on the head.

"You idiot, do you want me and Mom to be known for breaking our promises?"

He only said half of what he meant. Partly because he didn't want to go back on his word, but more importantly, he wasn't entirely confident he could protect his brother if he angered Sith again.

He had already found the stone tablet and didn't want to cause any more trouble.

Dafu lowered his head, looking aggrieved.

"understood."

He was most afraid of his older brother getting angry, but since his older brother had already made up his mind, there was nothing he could say.

Katakuri gave Sith one last deep look, then ordered the pirates to take the wounded, collect the bodies, and prepare to leave.

"Katakuri, there's one more thing."

Sith suddenly called out to him.

Katakuri stopped and spoke coldly:

"If you dare to bring up any other conditions, I swear I'll fight you to the death."

Sith chuckled lightly:

"It's not really about conditions, I just want to discuss a collaboration with you."

As he spoke, he threw a paper bag at Katakuri.

"then!"

Katakuri took it without even turning his head, and when he looked down, he saw that it was an orange cake.

Sith explained:

"Try this, and if you like it, you can have someone contact me to buy it."

This cake was prepared for him by Bellemere; it's a new product from Cocoa West Village Oranges.

He knew this guy had a sweet tooth and even believed that sugar was the source of power. If he could win over such a big customer, his orange business with Bellemere would definitely make a fortune.

Katakuri was startled. Did this guy know that he liked sweets?

Must be a coincidence!

"Boring guy."

He wanted to throw the orange cake away immediately; he'd eaten all sorts of sweets before, and he certainly wouldn't taste the Navy's inferior food.

But then again, that unique, sweet aroma is truly irresistible.

"It smells so good!"

Katakuri suppressed his urge to take a bite immediately, carefully putting the cake away, planning to try it later when no one was around.

A moment later, the Big Mom Pirates' ship set sail and sailed away, and Sith breathed a sigh of relief.

He was genuinely worried that Katakuri would fight him to the death. Although he could handle it, his marines would suffer.

Moreover, if the battle continues, that cunning girl will escape.

boom--

A muffled sound came from deep within Ohara, and the [Professional Assassin] indicator displayed two red triangles in the distance.

"You wait here for reinforcements, I'll go check if there are any survivors."

Sith gave his men a few instructions and ran into the depths of the dense forest.
