One Piece: New Century Hextech Warriors

Chapter 52 Doflamingo's Strictest Father

*Splat*

A sticky mass landed at Dover's feet, the dark red liquid slowly seeping into the snow like a splash of ink.

"Seka".

Dover murmured, bent down and gently picked up the severed arm, feeling as if he were dreaming.

Everything happened so fast. One second he thought Serka was safe, but the next second Serka was in pieces, and he didn't even have time to help.

Sith jumped off the crumbling stone giant and landed back on the ground with a thud.

The Don Quixote family members, who had just been so arrogant, all took a step back, their faces filled with a mixture of fear and apprehension.

Serka is no pushover like Buffalo. She is one of the highest-ranking members of the family, codenamed "Spade." She has never failed since eating the Stone-Stone Fruit, yet she was defeated in an instant!

"Seka, get some rest."

Dover put his finger behind his sunglasses and gently wiped his eyes.

When he killed his foolish father and was at his lowest point, he met Trebol, Pica, Diamante, and Vergo. It was these four who gave him the String-String Fruit and guided him on the path to becoming a king.

Before he could even become king, Serka had already died a horrible death right before his eyes!

"What a pity, Dover, your men didn't give me enough fun."

Sith walked slowly with his left hand in his pocket, his posture as relaxed as if he were taking a stroll.

Serka is a type of monster with a fixed mechanism; once you understand its weaknesses, it's easy to deal with. For the Sith, it's not even a warm-up.

The ferocity emanating from Dover was so intense it was almost tangible, like the roar of a wild beast emanating from its throat:

"Uriel Sith, I'm going to kill you today, and then wipe out everything you care about!"

Sith's smile vanished:

"How dare you talk to me like that? Are your family members wholesalers?"

Dover roared in anger:

"You lowly mortals, this will show you the consequences of offending God!"

boom--

His pink coat bristled like an angry hedgehog, and his malevolent Conqueror's Haki poured out without reservation. The thick snow on the ground was blown away by this invisible force, revealing large areas of black rock.

Dover slowly raised his right arm, like a king looking down upon the world.

"Kneel down!"

The Conqueror's Haki swept through, and the marines foamed at the mouth and fainted. Even Gion barely managed to stay upright.

"Damn it, how does this guy have Conqueror's Haki?!"

At that moment, Gion felt as if a warship was pressing down on her. She knelt down on one knee with a thud and quickly gripped the hilt of her sword with both hands. The tip of the sword was stuck in the ground, barely supporting her body so that she wouldn't fall completely.

Doflamingo's expression grew increasingly grave as he instantly suppressed Gion and the Marines.

Because the guy he most wanted to defeat was still standing there perfectly fine!

"Keep going, Dover, use the same strength you had when you killed your father!"

Sith stood amidst the raging winds whipped up by his Conqueror's Haki, his navy coat flapping wildly in the wind, and icy snowflakes relentlessly pelting his face, yet only making his laughter grow ever more maniacal.

Faced with the terrifying pressure of Conqueror's Haki, he felt incredibly high!

Having experienced the Conqueror's Haki of the Warring States period, this pressure from Doflamingo was nothing to Sith. On the contrary, he hoped that Doflamingo would increase the intensity to stimulate the power within him that could awaken at any time to surge out sooner.

Boom!

Sith suddenly and slowly raised his right foot, leaving a footprint in the snow.

"What's wrong with this guy?"

Dover started to panic.

That's Conqueror's Haki, a Celestial Dragon's signature move. Even if Sith didn't faint immediately, he should at least be rendered unable to move.

What the heck is this about being able to keep going forward?!

Not only him, but Gion next to him also stared wide-eyed at Sith's actions.

"This guy seems to be much stronger than me."

A pang of sadness welled up inside her.

Cold sweat trickled down Dover's face without him realizing it, and Sith took his second step toward him.

"It must have been painful to grow up without a father, Dover."

His voice traveled through the howling wind and snow to Dover's ears, like the whisper of a demon.

"It's okay, I can be your strict father."

Dover couldn't help but step back.

In a daze, he seemed to see his useless father again, and a mix of anger and fear overwhelmed him.

"Don't come any closer!"

Once his conviction wavered, Doflamingo's Conqueror's Haki vanished abruptly.

Faced with this situation that was beyond his imagination, Dover's body froze instantly, and he even forgot to move. Fortunately, Torrepol grabbed his arm in time.

"Dover, we should get out of here!"

Sith is definitely the most troublesome opponent their family has ever faced, even more so than that old woman, Lieutenant General Tsuru.

Now that the Op-Op Fruit is gone and Rosinante has run away, there's no point in staying here any longer. Even if Doflamingo can defeat Sith, it will take him a long time. If Tsuru breaks through the Birdcage, things will get really bad. Running away is the best thing to do!

Dover also realized what was happening, gritted his teeth, glanced at the approaching Sith, and shouted loudly to several family members:

"Get out of here immediately!"

Although he was very unwilling, he knew that now was not the time to fight the Sith to the death. Anyway, there would be plenty of time in the future for him to take revenge!

The Don Quixote family turned and ran, and Sith took a step to give chase, when suddenly the snow beside them rose up, and another Doflamingo jumped out from it.

"Shadow Rider Line?"

He recognized that these were thread clones created by Dover, possessing almost identical abilities to the original, making them difficult to deal with.

"Fufufu, you're not getting a chance to catch me."

Doflamingo sneered and flicked his finger slightly. The Thread Clone fell to its knees with a thud, its body transforming into countless lines that instantly formed a small birdcage that surrounded the Marines.

The birdcage was enough to buy them time, allowing them to board the ship and leave at their leisure!

Seeing Dover and the others running away quickly, Gion frantically swung her sword at the birdcage, only to find that the birdcage only trembled slightly and was completely undamaged.

"Damn, this guy has developed his Devil Fruit to this extent."

Gion cursed under his breath, but then Sith laughed:

"It's okay, it's fine as long as it's broken."

As he spoke, he walked to the birdcage and slowly extended his fist.

"break in?"

Gion frowned suspiciously, clearly not believing it; this thing couldn't even cut through her sword.

Sith didn't explain much, but simply whispered:

"Step back."

He raised his fist, and [Purgatory Dragon Soul], [Blunt Strike Power], and [Magic to Physical] were fully activated, his arm covered with intense Armament Haki.

boom!

A punch, far more powerful than a heavy cannon, struck the birdcage, causing the ground to tremble violently. Then came the second, the third…

Until a few soft clicks, cracks appeared on the surface of the seemingly indestructible birdcage.

On the other side of the island of Mignon, the Don Quixote family members were rushing to the sea.

"What's that noise?"

Torrepol heard a rumbling sound behind him and was so nervous that he forgot to wipe his snot back.

Dover was also secretly alarmed. Did that guy intend to break the birdcage with his fist?

Sweat beaded on his forehead, but he still forced a smile and said:

"Fufufu, don't panic! He can't break the birdcage, and even if he did, he couldn't catch up with us. At least we have the speed advantage!"

They've already run far away; the Navy's Shave Step or Moon Step simply can't catch them.

No sooner had they finished speaking than a death knell sounded behind them:

"The last person who was confident in their advantage has already gone to play Boom Beach."

The Sith?!

Several family members were nearly scared out of their wits when they heard the sound. This guy had actually destroyed Dover's birdcage and caught up with him in less than a minute!

Dover looked back and saw the Sith like a speeding train, raising a straight trail of snow dust as it passed, and it looked like it was about to catch up with them.

"Hmph, trying to escape?"

Sith glanced at the Silver Hextech he had drawn earlier and grinned.

[Shadow Sprint: After using a dash, jump, or blink ability to leave a stationary position, movement speed is increased by 30% for 1 minute.]

After breaking open the birdcage, he used Shave Step to pursue, while simultaneously activating Shadow Sprint to accelerate, and caught up in no time.

Seeing that Sith was about to catch up, Vergo, who had been silent until now, suddenly spoke in a deep voice:

"Dover, you guys run first, I'll hold him off."

Dover paused for a moment, then rejected the idea:

"No!"

He could sense how powerful that guy was; sending Vergo to intercept him would be suicide.

Vergo shook his head:

"My identity has been exposed, and there's no way I can go back to the Navy. I might as well have a good fight with this annoying guy. I'll take care of him sooner or later anyway, won't I?"

Gladius, standing nearby, nodded in agreement.

"I'm going too. Someone has to stop that kid, otherwise the longer it drags on, the worse it will be."

He is a user of the Boom-Boom Fruit, which makes him perfect for this kind of fight.

Doflamingo was torn between his own thoughts and his own. He was really worried about sending someone to cover the rear, but the situation was critical. After releasing his Conqueror's Haki, his control over the outer Birdcage had weakened, and Tsuru might have already led people in.

The thought of that old woman's washing fruit sent chills down his spine.

Just as he hesitated, Vergo smiled freely:

"Don't worry, Dover, I haven't even seen you become king yet, you won't die so soon!"

He abruptly stopped and rushed back with Gladius.
