"what!"

A short, startled cry came from the stage, as if it had been suddenly choked off; the sound was only half-said before it abruptly stopped.

The bride stood in the center of the red carpet, arm in arm with her father, the train of her wedding dress trailing on the ground like a blooming white flower.

Before her smile could even turn into fear, a white thread pierced her head from top to bottom, pinning her to the ground.

Blood streamed down her cheeks, instantly staining her white wedding dress red. The bride's eyes were wide open, her expression frozen in the final second.

"No--!"

Zhou Chen's roar shattered the brief silence as he lunged forward, the blood from the wedding dress smearing all over him.

"Xiaomin... Xiaomin, look at me..." His hands trembled.

"It's okay...it's okay...the ambulance will be here soon...just hang in there..."

He was shouting something with his mouth open, but Lin Fan couldn't hear him because the entire hall exploded in that instant.

Someone's dead!

"This is weird! Help!"

Screams and the sound of shattering dishes mingled together as the crowd rushed frantically toward the door.

Lin Fan raised his head and looked in the direction of the white thread.

In the corner of the ceiling, a spider the size of a person hung upside down.

The spider had a clearly defined human face with a slight smile on its lips, looking down at the panicked crowd below.

The Laughing Spider!

Lin Fan stared intently at the upside-down ghost spider, extending his spiritual power to discover an even darker mass crawling on its back.

It's that Shadow Devourer again!

Lin Fan's mind went blank. He had previously controlled the Great Ghoul, and this time, he controlled the Smiling Spider. It wasn't attacking randomly; it had a target.

Its target is itself!

"Ah—! Help!"

"The door! The door is locked!"

"Don't push! You're stepping on someone!"

Qin Muyao immediately stood up and instinctively reached out to push Lin Fan's wheelchair, trying to run towards the door.

But she stopped as soon as she took a step, because she saw that the doorway was crowded with people, but no one was able to get out.

The door is locked!

"What should we do? The door seems to be locked!" Qin Muyao said anxiously, summoning the only card she had. Two Bone-Eating Hounds stood guard on either side of her.

The eerie blue flames flickered in the eyes of the Bone-Eating Hounds, who stared intently at the Ghost Spiders on the ceiling, growling low threats but not daring to approach.

The ghost spider suddenly fell from the ceiling, and the air in the entire hall seemed to freeze. Everyone was afraid of being targeted by the ghost spider.

On that face with its distinct features, blood-red eyes slowly moved, sweeping across the scattered crowd before finally settling on the direction where Lin Fan was.

"Hehe, found you!" It let out a strange laugh, and with all eight legs moving at the same time, it leaped over the overturned tables and chairs and approached Lin Fan and the other person.

Upon seeing the Ghost Spider attack, Qin Muyao's Bone-Eating Hounds made the first move.

Two bone-eating hounds pounced on it from the left and right, one biting the spider's leg while the other lunged straight at its face.

The Ghost Spider let out a sharp screech, its bitten leg sprang up, and the Bone-Eating Hound was flung into the wall, letting out a muffled groan before turning into a card and returning to Qin Muyao's hand.

Qin Muyao looked at the shattered card in her hand, breathed a sigh of relief, and then turned her gaze to the other Bone-Eating Hound.

The Bone-Eating Hound bit the Ghost Spider's face, causing the spider to shake its head frantically in pain, which also slowed it down.

Before Qin Muyao could even catch her breath, the ghost spider spat out white silk threads from its mouth, shooting straight at the Bone-Eating Hound's face.

A white thread pierced through the Bone-Eating Hound's abdomen, pinning him straight to the ground. The hound let out a painful whimper, and the eerie blue flames in its eye sockets gradually dimmed.

The Bone-Eating Hound struggled for a moment, then transformed into a card. This time, the card did not return to Qin Muyao's hand, but completely dissipated into the air, which also meant that the Card Spirit was completely dead.

"What!" Qin Muyao stared in disbelief at the vanishing card, her hands gripping the wheelchair trembling uncontrollably, whether from anger or fear, she couldn't tell.

Lin Fan reached out and grasped Qin Muyao's trembling hand, trying to calm her uneasy heart.

"Old Zhang!" Lin Fan channeled his mental energy into Zhang Jiao's card.

A flash of blue light appeared, and Zhang Jiao's figure solidified behind him. Without saying much, he raised his hand and unleashed a Five Thunderbolts Technique.

Golden lightning struck down from the void, scorching the Ghost Spider's carapace black. Its eight legs suddenly retracted, and it stopped moving.

Those watching the battle whispered among themselves, "Are they dead?"

"Is it over?"

The Shadow Creature on the Ghost Spider's back twitched, and a dark red light spread along the Ghost Spider's carapace, causing the charred wounds to heal at a visible speed.

"That dark figure is absorbing lightning magic! It's adapting to lightning magic." Zhang Jiao's voice came from behind Lin Fan, tinged with seriousness.

Upon hearing Zhang Jiao's words, Lin Fan revealed a hint of shock. This Shadow Devourer was no ordinary creature. He couldn't let it escape this time; who knew what it would become next time?

Lin Fan's pupils contracted, and he poured all his mental energy into Zhang Jiao's card, shouting, "Old Zhang, don't hold back! [The Yellow Heaven Shall Rise]!"

Zhang Jiao waved his hand, and the talisman fell to the ground, shattering the stone slabs. But Zhang Jiao quickly stopped him, saying, "No, if you use it here, the building will collapse."

"Damn it!" Lin Fan stared intently at the approaching Ghost Spider, his hand already gripping the White Impermanence. He glanced at the card master and security personnel beside him.

"What are you waiting for? If you don't make your move now, are you going to let him kill us all one by one?!"

Several security personnel were the first to react, and they took out their cards.

With a flash of light, two Kalings appeared in the hall: an armored rhinoceros and a bronze warrior wielding a sword.

"Go!" a security guard shouted.

The armored rhinoceros lowered its head and charged, its horns striking the spider's abdomen, causing it to stumble back several steps. The bronze warrior swung his sword and slashed at one of the spider's legs, causing green blood to spurt out.

The ghost spider let out a piercing screech, "You, you all deserve to die!"

A white thread was spat out from the mouth of the ghost spider. The thread pierced through the rhinoceros's armor. The green-level armored rhinoceros struggled for a while, then turned into a card and dissipated in the air.

The security guard who summoned the rhinoceros was deathly pale, his fingers trembling as he watched the card gradually dissipate.

Several card players who had already drawn their cards froze, looking at each other, none daring to make the first move.

Even the Green Domain-level Armored Rhino, known for its defense, couldn't withstand a single blow. Wouldn't sending their cards to their deaths be suicide?

"What are you all standing there for!" the security captain roared, his voice filled with anxiety. "Attack together! There's only one!"

Before it could finish speaking, the Ghost Spider suddenly pushed off with its seven legs, its entire body soaring into the air and hanging from the ceiling chandelier. Now, the remaining bronze warrior couldn't attack it at all.

Ghost Spider, his face beaming with a smile, looked down at the crowd: "Come at us all? Then we'll all die together!"
