Chapter 33 Goblin Shaman
"The people at Camp Three are surrounded."
Lyra silently ignored the greetings Lilith had prepared for her, her words devoid of emotion: "Should we...go?"
"Proceed to Camp Three immediately."
Viktor paused for a moment, then nodded emphatically: "Get ready first."
......
On the way to Camp 3,
Layla quickly provided additional information.
Viktor listened silently, understanding dawning on his mind.
The monster army that surrounded the camp and forced the adventurers to call for help was not some goblin that came out of a small lair.
Instead, it was an army of mutated goblins led by shamans.
"It's probably a chain reaction triggered by the destruction of the mother hive."
Laila's expression remained cold, her hands clenched tightly beneath her robes, worried about Victor's reaction.
Fortunately, even in this critical moment, the other person did not panic as she had feared, but calmly extended their hand to her:
"Lend me a magic book."
His words were rather vague, and the tense team members all glanced at the boy.
The distant shrieks of goblins and the sounds of fighting seemed to echo in their ears, and they couldn't understand why Viktor could remain calm.
"it is good."
But Lyra didn't ask. Instead, she silently took out a black book and placed it in the other person's palm.
She trusted Victor more than the extremely high failure rate of the rescue operation.
"You can slow down, Mr. Victor."
After saying that, Lyra looked at the giant green-skinned creatures in the distance that were swinging their fists and wreaking havoc on the array runes, and drew her wand, saying, "Let's speed things up."
Roland and the others immediately understood, glanced back at Victor, and then strode towards Camp Three.
at the same time,
Outside the formation of Camp Three.
Four or five rangers were already complaining bitterly, constantly moving outside the formation, clearing out goblins that tried to approach it one after another.
"Gurgle!"
However, the number of goblins was far too great for them to handle, and several of them rushed to the formation and began to stab fiercely with their bone spears.
Giant goblin fists would occasionally smash into the formation, only to be repelled by the counterattack runes on the formation.
"Damn green scum!"
Berserker Ogard cursed and raised his axe to strike the abdomen of the giant green-skinned creature that had been knocked down.
With a crisp sound, the opponent's flank shell was indeed shattered.
But just as he was about to continue his chopping, he suddenly caught a glimpse of an infinitely large fist out of the corner of his eye.
"Bang!"
Ogard was sent flying by a heavy punch, crashing heavily to the ground, his body covered in mud from the rain.
He looked up at the retreating adventurers around him, and struggled to his feet.
However, just as he propped himself up, an immense weight pressed down on his back.
A giant goblin noticed him at some point and was about to crush him.
"Get out of here!"
But just then, a roar came from behind, and at the same time, the heavy pressure on my back eased.
Ogard reacted quickly, propping himself up with his giant axe and turning around to look.
Then he saw that the giant green leopard that had stepped on him earlier had been knocked down by a man with a one-armed arm.
"A perfect rescue!"
Ogard grinned, revealing his bloodstained teeth, and charged forward, brandishing his giant axe to help.
The arrival of adventurers from Camp Two gave the adventurers guarding the formation a chance to catch their breath.
However, adding thirteen people did not bring much improvement.
Moreover, Lyra had noticed a rock behind the advancing goblins.
A goblin wearing feathered headdress and a cloak was shaking a magic wand in its hand, seemingly whispering something.
"Respond to me, flame."
A fireball shot out from the tip of Lyra's staff and slammed into the strangely dressed goblin.
She was now certain that this guy was the goblin shaman, and that the battle would be over if she could catch him off guard and strike once and for all.
However, just as the fireball was about a meter above the opponent's head, a giant goblin seemed to have a premonition and flew over.
The fireball struck the opponent's chest armor, leaving only shallow scorch marks and causing no real damage.
The goblin shaman glanced in their direction, a strange smile creeping onto his ugly face.
Then, a dark purple light shone from beneath it, and two six-pointed star magic circles floated up and flew to its sides.
"This is......"
The mage at Camp Three stared wide-eyed, exclaiming, "Summoning magic!"
Sure enough, after the two magic circles flickered, goblins carrying bone spears and bows fell from them.
After about twenty fell out, the formation dimmed and then disappeared.
"..."
Layla suddenly understood why there were more goblins here than in a single nest.
Because as long as the shaman's spellcasting is not interrupted, the opponent can continuously summon helpers from elsewhere.
Unless the entire tribe of goblins can be wiped out, the monsters here will only increase.
As she pondered, a huge wooden stick slammed down on her.
She quickly dodged aside, and when she looked up again, a hint of horror flashed across her perpetually cold face.
The shaman started summoning again.
Moreover, that formation was different from the previous ones; if the opponent succeeded...
Just as she was about to raise her wand, several giant goblins around her suddenly stopped their attack and turned to charge towards her.
"..."
Lyra had no time to dodge and watched helplessly as a giant goblin charged at her.
Those around, who were busy clearing out goblins or fighting giant goblins, all noticed this scene, but were unable to intervene at this moment.
But in that crucial second...
Unnoticed by anyone, the goblin shaman suddenly turned its head to look in one direction, and then, as if its bones had been removed, it fell forward.
"Bang bang bang..."
The next second, accompanied by a synchronized loud bang, several giant goblins that were charging towards Lyra suddenly slid to their knees.
They knelt on the ground, their ferocious expressions now appearing somewhat bewildered.
Everyone was utterly astonished, and some were even injured by the goblins.
However, the moment they retaliated, they immediately noticed the abnormality of the goblin in front of them.
The giant goblin, which had been attacking swiftly and fiercely before, now seemed to be drunk, its club-wielding movements becoming chaotic and disorderly.
Some of them, while fighting, would suddenly start running towards the goblin shaman in the distance.
The tide of battle turned in an instant.
"What happened?"
Suddenly someone shouted, and everyone instantly realized something was wrong, their eyes following the fleeing goblins.
Then they noticed a boy not far away, dressed in leather armor and carrying a short bow, confronting the shaman.
"Viktor?"
Leila was somewhat puzzled.
She had assumed that the other party would enter the battle as a ranger or a newly initiated magic apprentice.
However, there was no time for her to continue thinking.
Viktor is surrounded!
