This pirate only wants to farm.

Chapter 12 Plantation Level: 2

The enlarged Hades naturally did not escape Lin Qi's notice.

He scratched Wangcai's chin, looking at the little guy's satisfied expression, and asked, "How is it? Are you full now?"

Wangcai sat on Lin Qi's shoulder, patted its round little belly, and squinted its eyes comfortably: "Squeak."

Elizabeth, still shaken, stared wide-eyed: "The ship, Captain, is that the Hades?"

Lin Qi nodded matter-of-factly: "That's right, this is a ghost ship, isn't it only natural that it has a ship spirit?"

Elizabeth's eyelids twitched; she found herself increasingly unable to understand things.

This is the ship's spirit!

It should be something that could only be created by magic ships in ancient times, but this dilapidated ghost ship in front of me doesn't look like a magical product at all.

But after thinking about it, Elizabeth realized that there were more than a few things on this ship that she couldn't understand, so she simply gave up trying to figure it out.

Using the soil of the underworld to grow crops, using pseudo-divine artifacts to set off fireworks, a ghost ship that can devour other ships...

Ignoring Elizabeth, who was biting her nails and babbling beside him, Lynch returned to his cabin to take stock of the supplies he had received from the pirate ship that day.

Although this wasn't the first time he'd witnessed such a bloody scene, it still wounded his young heart. He decided to look at the harvest to heal his inner trauma.

Lynch called out to Elizabeth, who was still babbling, "Stop standing there like an idiot, come and see what we've gained this time."

"Okay, coming right away."

Elizabeth belatedly responded and then jogged to follow Lynch into the cabin.

The two men, each carrying a ghostly green lantern, arrived at the cargo storage area in the ship's hold.

Elizabeth stared wide-eyed at the previously empty cabin now crammed with supplies: "Captain, is this the loot we seized from that pirate ship?"

Lin Qi nodded and casually tapped a wooden barrel twice: "Yes, after Wangcai devoured that ship, he sorted out the supplies on board and put them in the storage room."

Elizabeth then realized why the captain hadn't let her move those supplies before.

"Wow, Wangcai is so amazing!"

Elizabeth muttered to herself, glancing at the little monkey sitting on Lynch's shoulder.

Wangcai grinned smugly at Elizabeth.

Lynch shook the wooden barrel in front of him, then turned to Elizabeth and said, "Open all these barrels and see what's inside."

Upon hearing that there was work to be done, Elizabeth quickly went to the barrel, used her longsword to pry open the lid, revealing a dozen or so bottles of rum inside.

Before long, all 12 barrels were opened. Five of them contained water, three contained rum, and the remaining two contained hardened dark bread.

Of the remaining two wooden barrels, one was filled with red wine, while the other, separated by straw, contained roast chicken and a variety of fancy pastries.

An unnatural look flashed in Elizabeth's eyes; clearly, the two unusual wooden barrels belonged to her brother John.

Even if you're out at sea and only care about enjoying yourself, even if you kill me, you're not qualified to inherit your father's title.

Composing herself, Elizabeth sheathed her longsword and turned to Lynch with great respect, saying, "Captain, everything is open. Please take a look."

"In total: 5 barrels of water, 3 barrels of rum, 2 barrels of dark bread, 2 muskets, and 24 weapons."

"More than 30 shells, 3 hemp ropes, and 20 bundles of timber."

"There are also some pieces of jewelry that are not very useful. They are mostly gold and silver ornaments and jewels. I took a look and they are all cheap."

Lynch nodded slightly, turning his gaze away from Elizabeth.

He had been observing Elizabeth's reactions, wanting to see if the noble lady could adapt to life on the ship.

Although he took in Elizabeth out of kindness, and even the panel had recognized Elizabeth's position as a long-term worker, this did not mean that he believed Elizabeth was capable of doing the work on the ship.

He could have been unaware of it before, but now that he knows Elizabeth is the daughter of the naval governor, he can't help but wonder if this young lady can adapt to the harsh working environment at sea.

However, Lynch's worries were obviously unnecessary. Elizabeth not only didn't find the work annoying, but actually seemed to enjoy it.

To be honest, if it weren't for that noble boy who dared to come up and die, Lin Qi would never have believed that Elizabeth was actually a young lady from a wealthy family.

Such a carefree attitude, coupled with the complete lack of complaints about work, doesn't seem like the behavior one would expect from an aristocrat.

It seems that not all the nobles in this world are as despicable as he imagined.

Lin Qi had no interest in inquiring about other people's family circumstances. He turned to look at the harvest in the wooden bucket and couldn't help but smile, feeling a sense of relief.

"Great, it seems we don't need to worry about supplies for the time being."

Despite Lin Qi's ability to farm on the boat and even fish occasionally, his supplies are only enough to provide him and Wangcai with a few snacks now and then.

Farming at sea is much more difficult than imagined, and even with magic, it's not that simple.

Now that there's an extra farmhand, and judging by his appetite, Lin Qi's supplies are becoming increasingly strained.

Food wasn't too bad; we could manage by eating breadfruit and oranges and occasionally fishing. But water was a huge problem.

Lynch's water purification technique could only guarantee him two pots of tea a day and the normal consumption of watering the plantation; wanting more was unrealistic.

With these supplies, we don't have to worry about food and water for at least a short period of time.

Lin Qi breathed a deep sigh of relief. To be honest, he didn't want his quality of life to decline just because he hired a long-term worker.

However, water supply remains an urgent problem to be solved.

But at that moment, Elizabeth found a large number of weapons among a pile of discarded planks and shells, including two fire lances and a disc-shaped object emitting a purple halo.

"what?"

Elizabeth wasn't particularly interested in the weapons; instead, she excitedly grabbed the disc and ran up to Lynch, exclaiming, "Captain, I've found a treasure!"

Lin Qi took the disc that emitted a purple halo. It was inlaid with several gems of different colors, and it was clear at a glance that it was no ordinary item.

Looking at the patterns on it, Lin Qi raised an eyebrow: "Is this a natal chart?"

Elizabeth looked at Lynch with some surprise: "You know the captain?"

Lin Qi curled his lip: "Those furry little guys have this, but it's not as high-end as yours."

"So your brother found you through this?"

Elizabeth took the exquisite diamond necklace out of her pocket and said, "Yes, Captain, these two are a set. They look like they can pinpoint coordinates at least 1000 kilometers away. You should find them useful, Captain."

Lin Qi, fiddling with the natal chart, looked at Elizabeth with great interest and asked, "Strictly speaking, this should belong to your family, and I heard that these natal charts aren't cheap. You just gave it to me like that?"

Elizabeth shook her head seriously: "I don't need it. Besides, I'm your sailor now, Captain. All spoils belong to the captain; that's the rule at sea."

Seeing how sensible Elizabeth was, Lynch nodded in satisfaction: "Good, very perceptive. I'll keep it for now."

"Put away all those weapons. Those little guys should be coming to me soon, so I can sell them all to them then."

Little one?

Elizabeth tilted her head, unable to imagine what the little guy the captain was talking about could be on this windless sea.

Could it be another kind of undead?

But she remembered the captain saying something like it was furry...

After taking stock of his spoils, Lin Qi walked out of the cabin with the astrolabe in his hand, feeling quite pleased with himself. Now that he didn't have to worry about supplies, he felt much lighter.

However, just as he stepped out of the cabin and was about to return to the captain's cabin, he discovered that there was an open space in front of the captain's cabin!

The old, blackened deck was at least seven or eight square meters in size, and handfuls of black soil were still seeping out from the cracks in the dilapidated deck.

These black soils seem to be alive, constantly emerging from the cracks and extending outwards. It's clear that this place will soon become a new farmland.

Upon seeing this, Lin Qi quickly opened the panel.
