Douluo Continent Chat Group: Building My Academy

Chapter 61, Fudge: Dumbledore and I are no match for each other.

When Sirius finally saw the sun again after so long, he was still incredulous that he could leave Azkaban to see Harry!

"Headmaster Dumbledore, when are we leaving to see Harry?"

The unruly young man asked Dumbledore a question with great respect.

Dumbledore glanced at Sirius Black, who was dressed in rags, had a scruffy beard, yet still possessed a dashingly disheveled air, and smiled silently.

"Take care of your hygiene first. You don't want Harry to know that his godfather is a vagrant, do you?"

"Really?" Sirius stroked his chin and chuckled a few times. "Then I'll have to get a nice new hairstyle~"

At first, Sirius didn't want to leave Azkaban at all. He believed that he had harmed Jaime and should spend his life atoning for his sins there.

As a result, Dumbledore's words lured Sirius out.

"Harry's almost old enough to attend Hogwarts, don't you want to come and see?"

Sirius was instantly tempted, and then he learned that Little Pettigrew had been captured.

The next instant, Sirius changed his mind and decided to bite him to death.

Dumbledore's next words lured Sirius back.

"Do you want Harry to know that his godfather is a murderer?"

Finally, with the double assurances of Dumbledore and Fudge, Sirius Black was allowed to leave the prison.

Fudge was thrilled that Dumbledore was willing to stand by him.

Fudge knew about Arthur; he was a somewhat dim-witted employee, not a bad person, but nothing more, and wouldn't climb very high a position.

Fudge would often chat with Arthur, for no other reason than that Arthur was Dumbledore's friend.

Now his efforts have finally paid off, as Dumbledore is willing to take him along when investigating past cases.

Fudge didn't care at all about the issue of arresting the wrong Sirius Black. It wasn't like he was in office when he made the mistake; he could even use it to smear the previous ministers.

Importantly, the fact that this wrongful conviction was overturned during his tenure was thanks to the efforts of Dumbledore, the greatest wizard of all time.

The fact that the credit was given to him meant that Dumbledore was willing to support him, which made Fudge very happy and he even drank a few more glasses at dinner.

Pure-blood family? What pure-blood family? Fudge has always been on Dumbledore's side.

He knew perfectly well that Dumbledore had recently visited the Malfoys, and since then, Lucius the Great had been keeping a low profile.

Fudge didn't know what Dumbledore had done, he only knew that even a pure-blood family like the Malfoys had to give way to Dumbledore.

What else is there to say? Just follow Dumbledore!

When Fudge and Dumbledore stood together, no wizard could rival them, and the Ministry of Magic operated with absolute decisiveness.

Sirius Black was tried in the morning and thrown into Azkaban in the afternoon. News of Sirius's innocence spread throughout the wizarding world.

The wizards were all praising Dumbledore's wisdom, marveling that he truly deserved to be called the greatest wizard, and also giving a few words of praise to Fudge and the Ministry of Magic, who at least did not mess things up this time.

Meanwhile, the pure-blood families, observing the more cautious Malfoys, seemed to have become obedient children, making no move and remaining incredibly docile.

……

Some time later, in the Hogwarts Headmaster's office.

Dumbledore picked up the envelope containing Harry's acceptance letter, stroking the school crest on it, a hint of anticipation flashing in his pale blue eyes.

He also wanted to see that child, carrying the burden of too many children.

"Headmaster Dumbledore, is this Harry's invitation!?"

Beside him was Sirius Black, dressed in a well-tailored suit. He was tall and slender, with a handsome and elegant appearance, elegant black hair, and striking gray eyes. Every gesture he made exuded a nonchalant arrogance, a free and unrestrained charm, and captivating good looks.

Because he wanted to see Harry, Sirius wanted to present himself in his best light.

"Yes."

"When do we leave!?"

"Wait a little longer."

"Still waiting!?"

"Waiting for someone."

"Who... ah~"

Sirius suddenly remembered something, his anxious expression disappeared, and he became incredibly expectant.

Soon, the person they were waiting for arrived.

"Headmaster Dumbledore, I hope I'm not too late?"

The weariness in his voice was unmistakable, yet even so, it couldn't hide his excitement.

Sirius, suppressing his excitement, looked over and saw a weary-looking middle-aged man with premature wrinkles on his face, gray hair, and clothes that, though carefully chosen, were still faintly faded. This was the only piece of clothing he owned without patches.

"Moon Face, how come you've aged so much?"

Sirius was somewhat speechless. The friend he remembered, though also terrible, wasn't that much different from them.

"Aren't you the same? Bigfoot." Lupin looked at Sirius, his tone complicated as he saw his friend who was so thin he was almost unrecognizable.

You've gotten so thin you're almost unrecognizable.

"If you don't recognize me, I'll definitely punch you in the face."

Sirius Black swung his fists over and then slammed them down in front of Lu Ping.

Lupin smiled and bumped fists with Lupin.

"have not seen you for a long time."

"have not seen you for a long time."

He knew, he knew perfectly well, that James's best friend wouldn't betray him; he wasn't alone.

Friendship manifests in many ways, but for these two people, no matter how long the time that has passed, friendship was there the moment they met.

Dumbledore spent some time with his two friends before approaching them.

"Are you ready? Harry is waiting for us."

"Alright, Principal."

Let's go!

……

Number 4 Privet Drive, the Dursleys.

During the holiday, shortly after lunch, Vernon and Penny were enjoying a leisurely afternoon. Their eldest son, Dudley, was playing video games in his room, while a thin boy with thick glasses was skillfully washing dishes by the kitchen sink.

Humming a song to himself, Harry was in a good mood today because Vernon was in a good mood. He ate more at lunch and had more energy to work.

Just then, there was a slow, steady knocking sound at the door.

"Who is it?"

Vernon asked the question, hoping it wasn't some salesman who had come to disturb his mood.

"Dumbledore."

"Who?"

Vernon was certain he had never heard of such a name before, and the voice sounded very old. Could it be an old beggar?

"who!"

Penny gasped in surprise; the familiar name brought back unpleasant memories.

"Dumbledore, perhaps Miss Petunia should recognize me; we've written to each other before."

Vernon looked at his wife, intending to ask if she was someone he knew, but saw her trembling and uneasy appearance.

"Who is he, Penny?" Vernon's voice turned somber.

Penny took a deep breath, but still got up and slowly walked towards the door.

"Remember when I said that my sister is a witch?"
