"Come, face me!"

A roar mingled with the breath of wolves, swirling flames—the Crimson Dragon heard Luo An's howl. Its serpentine eyes swept over Luo An, a fleeting look of surprise crossing its face.

It couldn't understand how this tiny thing, which could be crushed with a single step, dared to look it in the eye.

Then the dragon felt immense rage, more rage than when it was wounded by a sword or pierced through the body by a giant crossbow; it had actually been disrespected.

The red dragon took a deep breath, which pulled the surrounding flames into its mouth.

"They're here!"

Luo An stared intently at the red dragon, which then breathed fire repeatedly, allowing him to discern its movements.

That was dragon flame, something Luo An could never stop.

Since that was the case, Luo An also took a deep breath, and at the same moment the red dragon suddenly opened its huge mouth, he leaped up.

"roar!"

With the dragon's roar, flames erupted in a fan shape, engulfing all the buildings in the fan-shaped area in front of it, and even uprooting the trees.

Under such intense flames, no living thing could survive.

However, amidst the flames, a figure leaped high into the air, accurately bounding across the collapsed ruins, rapidly approaching the dragon's head.

Less than three steps from the dragon's head, Luo An finally appeared, his longsword unsheathed, the reflected firelight accelerating as he slashed towards the dragon's vulnerable neck.

The dragon was startled; it hadn't expected that Luo An would not only not retreat, but would instead approach it.

It immediately retreated, but it was too late; the longsword slashed down fiercely.

clang!!

The sword strike felt like hitting a rock, causing Luo An's arm to go numb.

Even the seemingly fragile dragon's belly was as hard as stone.

The sword only penetrated two inches into the dragon's body before being firmly held in place by the dragon's muscles, making it impossible to go any further.

"Roar roar roar!"

For a moment, Luo An seemed to hear the red dragon's mocking laughter.

"That's really exaggerated." Luo An was secretly surprised. Luo An was now in the [Dragon Slayer] state, and his damage to dragons had at least doubled. He could even contend with the most advanced trainee knights.

But facing the dragon, just by slashing down, Roan exhausted all his strength.

Clicking his tongue, Luo An wasn't going to let this rare opportunity slip by. He gripped his longsword with both hands, took a deep breath,

[Wolf howl!]

A current of energy instantly enveloped the sword. Luo An gripped the sword with both hands, exerted his strength once more, and thrust the longsword into the dragon's body.

"Aww!"

The red dragon finally sensed the giant dragon and roared fiercely.

A powerful aura erupted from the red dragon, causing the surrounding rocks to shake violently and fly backward.

Luo An let out a muffled groan as he and his sword were sent flying seventeen or eighteen steps. He turned around in mid-air and landed, quickly retreating to dissipate the force, but still crashed into a house.

Luo An groaned, then couldn't help but vomit blood.

After taking several deep breaths, Luo An still felt a jolt and numbness in his body.

That's terrifying, absolutely terrifying.

This level of breathing intensity, without any skill or refinement, is enough to shake everything in front of you with sheer force.

If it weren't for the soft armor underneath the silver armor providing shock absorption, this blow would have already injured Luo An's internal organs.

Before Luo An could recover, the surroundings suddenly began to shake.

The red dragon gave Luo An no chance to catch his breath, suddenly taking flight, raising its claws, and stomping towards the house.

Boom!

The weight of the red dragon alone was enough to crush this poor stone house.

As the house collapsed, Luo An rushed out of the house.

An angry roar immediately came from behind Luo An. The Crimson Dragon hadn't expected Luo An to escape, and immediately stretched out its huge jaws to bite him.

"roar!"

Without turning back, the strong wind stung Luo An painfully, and the pungent stench of decay was already close at hand.

Driven solely by instinct, Luo An rolled forward instinctively.

As Luo An rolled away, a bite force strong enough to pierce through steel grazed past his body.

Having narrowly escaped the attack, the dragon's mouth lunged at them once more.

Without even a chance to stand up, Luo An rolled over again, dodging the bite, flipped himself up, and quickly retreated, finally escaping the dragon's attack range. He then got up, panting.

"Damn it," Luo An cursed, thankfully he was wearing the Chinese League One.

If you're heavily armored, you won't even be able to roll. If you get bitten, you probably won't even have the strength to curse the dragon.

Even so, Luo An had no more strength. His lungs pumped air in like the wind, but it made him feel a long-lost feeling of suffocation.

During the brief respite, Luo An felt dizzy and his hands and feet trembled uncontrollably, a reaction to overexertion.

Just dodging had already exhausted all of Luo An's strength.

Even so, Luo An still gripped his longsword tightly, and with his other hand drew a small silver axe.

The axe was already wreathed in a white whirlwind that rolled like a storm, so violent that even Roan could hardly hold it.

The Axe of Chihunt trembled with excitement, yearning to unleash a strike.

This is Luo An's only chance.

If Roan can get close to the dragon and deliver the blow, he will win.

The red dragon's attack suddenly stopped, its snake-like eyes fixed on Luo An's axe. It could sense that the axe contained a power that even it feared.

The enormous creature suddenly became cautious, carefully observing Roan, before abruptly turning its body and yanking out its tail.

It was moving too fast; in an instant, its tail was already close, slamming down on Luo An.

Luo An was prepared, and seeing the tail coming at him, he jumped like a wolf again!

But he was already at his limit of breathing. Even with Luo An's quick reflexes, his body was still a beat too slow. He was still hit by the gust of wind and slammed away, crashing into the stone wall.

The [Chihunt's Axe] slipped from his grasp and rolled to the ground.

"puff!"

Luo An coughed up blood again, braced himself on the ground with his arms, grabbed the [Qihongte Axe], took a deep breath, and forced himself to stand up.

The axe of Chihunt dissipated in just two breaths after it left his hand, its whirlwind-like aura slowly dissipating.

"Roar!" The red dragon actually let out a mocking sound like a human. It looked at Luo An triumphantly, the axe's aura dissipated, and there was nothing left to threaten it.

To Luo An now, he was nothing more than meat on a chopping board.

It can kill Luo An anytime it wants.

Just then, on the other side of Hewang Village, a spark rose rapidly, bursting into an inspiring burst of light in mid-air.

Roan's spirits lifted; that was the insignia of Lorton's army.

It means that preparations are complete.

The heavy crossbow is fully loaded!

With a click of his tongue, Luo An slowly removed his armor as he faced the ferocious red dragon.

clang!

The heavy, flowing silver armor fell to the ground.

After only one glance, Luo An continued to remove his arm and hand armor.

Since armor cannot withstand the dragon's attack, it makes no difference whether you wear armor or not.

Luo An swung his arm and snapped it back into place.

Taking a deep breath, Luo An gripped his longsword tightly. He lowered his stance and stared directly at the dragon.

Animals are animals. No matter how powerful they are, they can only bite, claw, fan, whip their tails, and spit dragon fire.

in other words.

As long as you can dodge the dragon's attacks, you can give the heavy crossbowmen a chance to fire.

That way, you can kill the dragon.
