Hunter x Hunter: Card Master, the Strongest in the World.

The base is roughly circular in shape.

After leaving the dormitory building, Lynn and Chopper headed towards the center of the base and eventually found a building that looked like an office building.

The probability of a large shipment coming from such a place is probably not small.

Sure enough, his intuition was right.

The auditorium on the third floor of the office building is spacious, with an aisle in the middle and tables and chairs of uniform size distributed elsewhere, with a podium at the very front.

Lynn walked in through the door and soon saw a report document on the table with the number "30" written in blue. This alone was worth more than everything he had collected before.

As Lynn walked down the central aisle and reached a red carpet, her spider-sense was triggered, and a faint warning sounded.

They are at your feet and...to your right!

Suddenly the floorboards opened up, and if he stepped out like that, he would fall straight down, not knowing where he would land.

He pulled his foot back, but at that moment a figure suddenly darted out from under the table and chairs on the right, wielding a sharp machete, and swung it toward Lynn's neck!

Success!

A flicker of joy crossed Brutus's rugged, menacing face.

At such close range, based on his experience of killing 48 people, anyone would not have time to dodge, and blood would splatter everywhere in an instant!

He couldn't wait to see the other person's body ripped open!

boom!

A crisp sound of metal striking metal rang out.

Almost instantly, the machete broke, the front half flying backward, the broken blade landing on the table, penetrating three inches deep.

Brutae's pupils suddenly contracted, his mind went blank, and he stood frozen in place, the terrifying recoil tearing his hand.

Are you kidding me?!

Although this isn't some kind of alloy knife, it's still a proper bone-chopping knife. How could it possibly break a person's neck?

Is this person made of steel?

Lynn didn't even turn his head, just glanced sideways at Brutea, then stretched out his right hand and grabbed the latter's neck tightly, coldly saying:

"Tell me everything you know."

Brutae's eyes widened in horror as a sharp pain shot through his neck, spreading throughout his body. It felt as if he were in a vast, deep ocean, the agonizing feeling of drowning making it almost impossible for him to breathe.

It felt like his neck was being tightly clamped by a giant iron clamp... This man was serious! His neck could be snapped at any moment!

"Cough cough cough... I'll talk, I'll talk," Brutusa said hoarsely, using all his strength, before finally letting out a slight sigh of relief.

"We are all criminals imprisoned here, and we have been temporarily released to help with the Hunter Exam. We only have one mission: to earn points."

"For every point you earn, you can get a year off your sentence. We are mostly serious offenders with three-digit sentences. For example, I killed 48 people and my sentence is 285 years. So the temptation is very strong."

"But there are also limitations. We are each restricted to a certain location, so we can only wait for the candidates to come. If the candidates do not come in or run away, we cannot go out to chase them."

So that's how it is. Just like the third round in the original story, this time there are also criminals involved, whose purpose is also to hinder the candidates.

It's not just test takers who want points; criminals do too.

The examinees are in the open, while the criminals are in the dark. However, the examinees can move freely, while the criminals are restricted in their movements, which can be considered relatively fair.

Lynn guessed that the difficulty of obtaining each item was increasing step by step; the white items were just hard to find, but there was no risk to their lives.

There's a high probability of traps or criminals near blue items, significantly increasing the risk... I wonder what's going on with the gold items?

Coming to his senses, Lynn casually tossed Bruta aside, and the latter stopped breathing instantly, lying motionless on the ground.

Lynn darted to the front of the stage and pocketed the document.

Then, after spending some more time searching the entire office building with Chopper, they found another white item—a fountain pen.

From then on, he had collected a total of 70 points. It seemed that accumulating 100 points wouldn't be too difficult, but that was for him.

For anyone else, it would probably take half a day to find a white item, let alone a blue one.

The man and the deer left the office building, and before they could choose their next target, they heard an explosion not far ahead.

I wonder how such a big commotion was triggered.

After turning a corner and going a little further, Lynn saw four people gathered on the playground.

They were dressed in the same black and white prison uniforms as Brutus, clearly belonging to the criminals. Two others lay on the ground in pools of blood.

And the person they surrounded... was none other than Hisoka, who had a playful smile on his face!

"Monster...monster!" a prisoner in prison shrieked.

He couldn't believe his eyes!

You know, he just threw a grenade at them, but after the explosion, the other party was completely unharmed.

The playground is one of the few areas in the entire base with gold items, and its defenses are also incredibly high.

First, the team consists of six vicious and ruthless criminals. Second, in addition to ordinary weapons, they also possess deadly weapons such as hand grenades. This configuration can be described as hellish.

Before the exam, all six criminals thought they had it in the bag.

Even in this state, won't we just kill them one by one?

The first encounter resulted in two people being killed by inexplicable playing cards, and even the use of grenades did not cause any damage.

This is absolutely not within the realm of human beings.

Hunter Exam? Who cares about exams anymore!

Call the police immediately! There's a monster disguised as a human here!

Seeing the remaining criminals turn and flee, Hisoka felt bored and threw out four more playing cards, killing them all.

What bad luck... Lynn, standing to the side, shook her head and turned to leave. She thought something good was going to happen, but it turned out to be this jinx.

He wanted to leave, but some people didn't want him to.

Suddenly, Hisoka's uniquely playful voice rang out from behind:

"I mean, the way you're looking at me seems a bit off."

A malevolent aura spread out, enveloping Lynn!

Time seemed to stretch out infinitely at this moment, alarm bells rang loudly in Lynn's mind, and his spider senses were at their peak!

At that moment, the whole world suddenly went dark, and behind him stood what seemed like a mad monster, making sounds that were both roars and eerie laughter, trying to drag him into an abyss.

His Nen energy surged passively, and he subconsciously released [Refinement] in order to resist the malicious aura emanating from Hisoka.

I've been targeted by this pervert again!

Lynn moved with the lightness of paper, dodging to the left and narrowly avoiding the rapidly approaching playing cards.

[Six Styles • Paper Drawing]!

Taking the opportunity, Lynn turned around and stared intently at Hisoka not far away, his eyes fierce, and he made up his mind.

Plans have changed!

Abandon the exam and hunt Hisoka!

Amidst a multitude of thoughts, Lynn's Nen surged wildly, his mind fully focused, preparing for the upcoming battle. Even Chopper beside him was ready to transform.

"That's it! That's the look in his eyes!" Seeing this, Hisoka became even more excited, a strange blush rising on his alluring face, his narrow eyes flashing with a desire for battle.

Hopefully, this fruit will make him a little more satisfied.

Unconsciously, two opposing forces clashed, and a battle was about to break out!
