Hunter x Hunter: Card Master, the Strongest in the World.

Are you kidding me!

The countless pupils on Hyakume's body trembled violently.

This is the first time his curse has failed. Even if he can't kill the enemy, he won't be able to act like nothing happened!

Could it be... that he's an exorcist?

In his haste, Hyakume could only think of this most likely outcome: perhaps Lynn was a very powerful exorcist, which is why he was able to quickly resolve the curse on his eyes.

Great!

Hyakume-ki looked on in despair, never expecting to encounter such a formidable enemy.

But he didn't have the energy to think about that now, because his current situation was practically a death sentence!

He only had thirty-six eyes left, having just used up ten, leaving him with only twenty-six. He had also lost ten years of his lifespan, so he couldn't curse again anytime soon.

In addition, most of his energy was used up, and he was in very poor condition!

He originally thought that even if he didn't use the curse to kill, he could at least significantly reduce the fat man's condition, and then take the opportunity to kill him. Once the strongest one was dealt with, the rest would be easier to handle.

Even if one wanted to escape, there would be almost no obstacles.

Unexpectedly, the fat man was a spirit beast. Even after the curse was transferred, it failed to harm him. Not only did he pay a heavy price, but he also gained no benefit whatsoever.

He had experienced many battles, big and small, but this was the first time he had encountered such a bizarre enemy, far more terrifying than himself.

Coming to his senses, Capone and Chopper had already rushed in front of him and attacked together. Doumeki hurriedly used the little Nen he had left to dodge... He could only rely on dodging to prolong his life now.

With nearly a third of his eyes gone, the effectiveness of his Nen ability has also decreased, and he doesn't have much Nen left. He was already struggling against Capone, who was of the same level, let alone Lynn and Chopper.

Even if he wanted to fight to the death, he no longer had the resources.

Finally, after struggling for several rounds, Hyakume-ki revealed a weakness, which Capone seized precisely.

"Drink!" Capone roared, gripping the Hundred-Eyed Demon's face tightly with his right hand, and then slamming it downwards like a meteorite hitting the ground!

The strong wind pressure immediately created circular dust clouds that spread outwards from underfoot.

boom!

The ground suddenly cracked open, and the floorboards exploded the next moment, creating a large crater. Hyakume-ki lay in the crater, covered in blood.

Smoke and dust rose up, but then the dust in the air gradually subsided.

Lynn looked at the Hundred-Eyed Demon, who was lying unconscious and seriously injured in the pit, and his eyes revealed a thoughtful expression.

Judging from what just happened, Hyakume not only has B+ rank strength, but is also most likely a Specialist, possessing a very rare curse-type Nen ability.

This is a rare talent.

To be honest, it's a real shame to kill him like that.

That curse attack was brilliant; anyone else would have been doomed. Although the cost would have been considerable, it was still quite impressive.

After a moment's deliberation, Lynn decided to use the second effect of the enemy controller to turn Hyakume into his subordinate.

He originally intended to reserve this position for Xiao, who possessed spatial telepathy abilities.

However, he is not lacking in spatial abilities. Capone, Unmarked Stretch Box, and even Gengar, the future evolution of Haunter, all have spatial effects.

In comparison, he valued Hyakume's curse ability more.

Enemy Manipulator Effect 2: Sacrifice a card of the corresponding level in exchange for permanent control of the opponent, limited to one person.

Unfortunately, he happened to have a B+ card that wasn't very useful.

Lynn had a slight thought, and a card appeared on his right hand.

It's a trading card from Seri Kamishiro!

He had had the idea of using transaction cards as consumables for a while, and today he could finally put it into practice. If it worked, it would be much more convenient.

B+ is already a very good tier; the only other card of that tier is [Substitute Scarecrow].

The curse just now perfectly demonstrated the scarecrow's high value; he said there was no way he could possibly use up that power.

This transaction card is just right; it saves him the trouble of handing over a corpse.

He could actually submit it and get a B+ grade armor pack, which he could then use as consumables for the enemy's controller.

However, there is always an element of uncertainty. What if Kamishiro Seri is not satisfied? Although the probability is very small, he doesn't need to take that risk. Using the trading card directly is the most suitable option.

Collecting his thoughts, Lynn conjured up the enemy controller, aimed it at the Hundred-Eyed Demon lying on the ground, and successfully connected the signal a few breaths later.

He then placed the trading card on the enemy controller, and the card disappeared instantly, replaced by a new description of the enemy controller.

【Name: Enemy Controller】

[Grade: B+]

[Type: Item Card]

[Background: Yu-Gi-Oh!]

[Description: A special game controller that can sense signals when pointed at another player... Effect 2: Sacrifice a card of the corresponding level to permanently control the opponent. Current controlled target: Hyakume-ki]

From then on, Hyakume became his loyal subordinate, requiring no Nen to control him, essentially having his mind imprinted on him.

The enemy controller only permanently controls the opponent, which is equivalent to a manipulation system. Therefore, Hyakume is not a card character and cannot be turned into a card and recalled like Chopper.

"Chopper, heal him. From now on, he's one of us," Lynn said, pointing to Hyakume.

"Huh? Okay." Chopper nodded, and then, with Capone's help, he and Hyakume were sucked into Capone's castle.

The castle has long-term staff and professional medical equipment, which can cure the Hundred-Eyed Demon more quickly.

"Boss, what should we do with him?" Capone lit a cigar, picked up the owl like a chick, and asked Lynn.

Only the owl is still alive; the other kappa has completely died.

Without hesitation, Lynn said, "This person is quite capable. Lock him up in your castle for now, and take these auction items with you as well."

Owl is one of only two spatial telekinetic users in the original work, so killing him would be a waste; it's better to lock him up first.

"Understood." Upon hearing this, Capone casually handed the owl over and sent it into the castle. Then he collected the piled-up auction items, which were of many kinds, and would take a closer look when they got back.

Lynn then looked at the cards that dropped after defeating Hyakume-ki.

【Name: Shikigami Talisman】

[Rank: B]

[Type: Item Card]

[Background: Onmyoji]

[Description: After use, one shikigami will be randomly selected from the B+ to B- rank. The shikigami originates from the Onmyoji world.]

The description is simple: it's a Shikigami Talisman that, when used, can randomly select a Shikigami whose level is within the B-rank range.

Since today is a very auspicious day for him, there's no need to look for another lucky day. Lynn plans to draw the shikigami on the spot.

The talisman in his hand quickly burned and turned into a white light.

Gazing at the pure white light, Lynn's mind flashed through images of various characters from Onmyoji: Ubume, Inugami, Momiji...

Since the shikigami's level was within B rank, Lynn consciously didn't think about those famous great yokai.
