Extreme Cold Apocalypse: My Shelter is Full of Beautiful Women

"It's finally open!"

Ye Yan looked into the room at the ball of flame floating in mid-air.

Yes, that is his sequence.

The Flame of Order.

The panel is as follows:

【

Sequence: Shelter.

Method: Fire.

Core: The Sacred Flame of Order.

Level: LV1.

Range: 1-5 meters.

Effects: Provides warmth within the area, enhances the efficiency of other creations, delivers intense heat to the soul, and provides protection against attacks from cold beasts.

Description: An inextinguishable flame.

Number of players in each faction: 2.

Sequence 9 Ability: Fire Seed Creation.

Unlocked blueprint: Fire Axe (LV1), other blueprints are pending unlocking.

】

This method of obtaining the spark actually requires someone to join in order to unlock the crafting blueprints.

Sequence 9 Fire Seed Creation is the creation of the things depicted on these blueprints.

【Fire Axe (LV1), requires 1 Iron Ingot and 1 Wood】

"Iron block, wood?"

Ye Yan looked puzzled, his gaze involuntarily falling on the unused refrigerator and the table.

Soon, Ye Yan put a piece of steel he had taken from the refrigerator and a piece of wood he had taken from the table together and activated Sequence 9, "Fire Seed Creation".

Then, a pale golden holy fire appeared in his hand, combining, fusing, and reshaping the iron and wood.

"It worked!"

The next moment, the iron and wood disappeared, replaced by an axe with red patterns engraved on it!

"Is that all?"

Ye Yan looked surprised, picked up the axe, and flames emerged from the red patterns on the axe.

"What other steps are needed? Do I have to do it myself step by step?!"

It's quite convenient.

brush!

Ye Yan swung his axe, creating a fiery arc in the air, and was quite satisfied.

"good"

Almost immediately afterward, a notification sound rang out.

Congratulations on successfully crafting the Fire Axe! You have unlocked the Tier 1 Fire Starter item blueprint, along with the Torch, Animal Trap, and more...

"Another blueprint unlocked?"

Ye Yan's eyes lit up. He opened the panel and, sure enough, saw the next blueprint to be unlocked.

[Next unlockable: Tier 1 blueprints for Fire Seed defensive buildings including arrow towers, cannons, and walls...]

Arrow tower?

What would he need this for in this high-rise building?

Unlocking these blueprints is starting to feel more and more like a tower defense game.

Considering the number of people protected by the Fire Seed on the panel, Ye Yan had reason to suspect that this Fire Seed pathway sequence was inclined towards farming and tower defense.

The materials used to build the arrow tower in the next drawing provide a clue.

[10 wood, 10 iron, 1 flint]

This is roughly equivalent to 10 tables. Although it's not much now, this is only a first-tier blueprint!

What about the drawings later on?

Therefore, if he wants to develop this pathway sequence, he does need people.

can.

Ye Yan wouldn't let just anyone join.

He doesn't trust people.

Especially this kind of apocalypse, not to mention that we are still in the early stages of development.

The people who join at the very beginning are extremely important.

Therefore, Ye Yan needs to screen the number of people who join, and the teachers are selected through screening.

As for why we didn't invite them proactively?

That would make you seem cheap.

It is important to understand that offering help when someone is in despair is the only way to earn their gratitude and maximize that gratitude.

This is also when people are most vulnerable and easily taken advantage of.

Some might say that this is despicable.

But Ye Yan never considered himself a gentleman.

Besides, some people won't truly commit until they're desperate.

Including the others he chose.

That happened later.

The immediate problem to be solved is food.

Because the extreme cold came so suddenly, Ye Yan didn't stockpile many supplies; enough to last him a month was already more than he had stockpiled.

Compared to others, he doesn't have to worry about the cold and has hot water.

Although Teacher Qi said that her family had food, Ye Yan guessed that there wouldn't be much.

Furthermore, we cannot simply sit back and do nothing.

Sooner or later they'll have to go out to find food, and besides, his blueprints also need materials.

In addition, the fire axe he possessed gave him a certain degree of self-defense capability.

and many more.

Ye Yan suddenly thought of something.

Perhaps he can sell hot water?

No, if other people found out, the whole neighborhood would probably block his door.

A few people are manageable, but if the other side has too many people, even if he kills them, he'll be too tired to handle them.

This is clearly not going to work.

Furthermore, Ye Yan couldn't be sure.

He was the only Sequence Awakener in the entire community.

Most importantly, where can we obtain the flint required for this material?

Not only do the arrow towers need flint, but the torches in front of them also need flint.

10 wooden sticks * 1 flint = 10 torches.

The torch possesses some of the core powers of the shelter's fire source, capable of raising the surrounding temperature, but only within a one-meter radius, and it will extinguish after an hour.

This was useless against Ye Yan, who possessed the Holy Flame of Order.

But it's useful for other people!

Simply raising the surrounding temperature is enough to make people outside scramble for it.

No, perhaps he used it to exchange for food.

just.

Under these circumstances, it is necessary to know where to obtain flint.

Judging from the description on his Holy Flame of Order, it was probably obtained from that so-called Frost Beast, or like the spirit stones in online novels, it required mining.

If possible, Ye Yan would not want to go out.

and many more!

Ye Yan suddenly remembered something and opened the group chat.

Perhaps, it's possible to trade with someone else.

You can open the group chat to take a look.

The neighborhood group chat has exploded.

The messages were scrolling by incredibly fast, all showing red dots.

"Does anyone have any food? My child hasn't eaten for two days, please!"

"Instant noodles are fine too, I'll take them even if they're expired!"

"Where's the hot water? Is there any hot water? My wife has a fever..."

Ye Yan scrolled up.

A month ago, the chat logs were filled with complaints about property management, discussions about housing prices, and sharing of group-buying links.

Now it's all turned into pleading.

The extreme cold arrived too quickly, and most people had no reserves at all.

Who would have thought that a snowfall would last for a whole month?

Who would have thought that the temperature would continue to drop, even falling below minus fifty degrees Celsius at night!

At this temperature, breathing in the air feels like ice spikes slicing through your throat.

Without protection, a person can die in just a few minutes!

Even more critically, in extremely cold environments, the human body consumes three to five times more heat than usual to maintain body temperature.

Food that used to last a month is now gone in half a month.

Therefore, by the thirtieth day, almost all families had run out of ammunition and food.

Lin Gang: "I saw Lin Fan a month ago! He was carrying huge boxes of food home, including more than a dozen boxes of instant noodles!"

After the message was sent, the group was silent for two seconds.

Then it exploded like a pot boiling over.

Wang Zile: "Yes, yes, I saw it too! I was wondering why this person would buy so many?"

"Did he know something in advance?"

"Where's Lin Fan? @LinFan, say something!"

"We're all neighbors, can't you share some of your food?"

"Exactly, you can't eat that much by yourself, can you? The three of us in my family are starving!"

"You can't be so selfish!"

Ye Yan looked at these messages and a slight smile appeared on his lips.
