Aboard the hyperspace starship, Mu Kange looked around like a curious child. It was the first time he had ever seen such a thing, and the first time he had ever seen a hyperspace channel.

Hyperspace channels are not normally visible to the outside world. They only appear to the intelligent life on board a starship that has a hyperspace engine and approaches within tens of millions of miles. After crossing a boundary line with extremely distinct light and dark areas and entering the hyperspace channel that pierces through the untraceable other end of the boundless void, Mu Kange sensed that the surrounding spatial structure had become more complex.

It allows lower civilizations to easily break the light-speed barrier, thus making the Heng star system more vibrant. Since its appearance, areas near the hyperspace passage have become treasure troves and prime locations, typically preferred areas for open exploration.

Furthermore, hyperspace routes are not straight paths; they branch off and so on. Thus, the open distribution of hyperspace routes and interstellar space resembles tree branches and leaves.

In the early days, in those star systems without advanced civilizations, no one knew that hyperspace channels could be built. So, everyone fought and waged wars around hyperspace channels, just to seize the economic treasures in the vicinity.

When a superior civilization emerges in a galaxy, a crown will pop out, which could be an immortal title or a throne. It will inform this superior civilization that it will have to take on the responsibility of building hyperspace channels. Doing so will bring benefits, while doing so will result in setbacks.

The Milky Way galaxy is now in an era where galaxies reign supreme, which is why it hasn't been caught up in a fierce battle for hyperspace routes. In fact, even a newly emerging civilization like the Human Federation has people coming to build roads.

As time went by, other hyperspace starships began to appear along the hyperspace route, which undoubtedly meant that they were approaching the Open Space.

Mu Kange was surprised to find that in the hyperspace channel, no one gave way to anyone else; starships just crashed into each other without turning or yielding.

Contrary to common sense, when starships collide, there is no destruction of the ship or loss of life. They simply pass right through each other like phantoms, without suffering any damage.

It's as if the two exist in parallel spacetimes, or as if they have both become dark matter, passing each other like illusory bubbles, without causing any mechanical impact on each other.

"So that's the purpose of the complex, multi-layered spatial structure of the hyperspace passage." Mu Kange suddenly realized. But then again, everyone's traveling faster than light, how are we supposed to avoid this thing?

"Big brother, what was interstellar transportation like before there were hyperspace routes?" Mu Kange turned to ask Ling Hao, who was sitting next to him.
