Fifty years ago, Xiuhe Town was a deserted village, but after a landslide, the entrance to an underground city was discovered.

After that, the Adventurers' Guild set up a branch here, and adventurers and merchants from all over gathered here, and it gradually developed into a large town.

Xiuhe Town doesn't have many special products, except for its famous Jinyu Wine.

The liquor brewed from the roots of the dragon horn tree has a mellow taste and is affordable, which allowed the founder to accumulate a large fortune and build a golden wood tavern here.

Due to the tavern's booming business, the Adventurers' Guild even voluntarily funded its expansion and chose to locate its branch in the tavern.

Therefore, the Golden Wood Tavern became the busiest place in the entire Rotten River Town, and Norn came here to find customers after arriving in town.

However, the organ rental business is not easy to run. Although some people with disabilities can be found here, they only regard Norn's abilities as interesting magic.

Even though Norn had already lowered the price to 50 silver coins a day for black slaves, no one was willing to buy.

Just as Norn was eating his grilled steak with a heavy heart, pondering a different marketing model, four people walked into the tavern.

This is an adventurer party, and judging from their disheveled appearance, they have just finished a mission.

The leader was a tiger-man, covered in reddish-brown fur, with a robust build. He carried a dragon's tail on his right shoulder, and his left arm was half-broken, the gauze wrapped around it already soaked with blood.

The other three members of the team were two humans and a half-elf. They found an empty table, sat down, and sent the tiger-man to turn in the quest.

"Let's try one last time," Norn thought to himself, looking at the one-armed tiger-man.

The tiger-man returned to the table carrying a bag of coins, and the half-elf pushed a large cup of golden jade wine in front of him.

"There are 6 gold coins in total. I'll take 3. Any objections?"

The tiger-man asked the crowd, and everyone else kept their mouths shut and tacitly agreed.

They had no choice but to agree; Tiger had contributed the most to this mission, even sacrificing an arm for it, so it would be unreasonable not to take the lion's share.

The tiger-man pocketed the three gold coins, then raised his wine cup and took a big gulp. Suddenly, he felt someone pat him on the shoulder.

Looking back, a handsome young man in black robes stood behind him.

"Hey buddy, want my left arm?" Norn asked.

"???"

The tiger-man frowned, clearly not understanding what Norn was up to.

Norn didn't waste any words and directly transferred his left arm to the tiger-man.

The gauze covering the wound was instantly stretched open, and a furry tiger paw grew out.

"Onsk! Your hand!" The half-elf Eileen was the first to notice the abnormality and exclaimed in surprise.

The tiger-man raised his left hand, his golden pupils scanning it incredulously.

"What kind of magic is this?" the tiger-man asked hastily.

"Never mind the magic, this hand comes at a price." Norn lifted his left sleeve, revealing his severed left arm.

"I'll give you a free trial for one day, and then we'll settle for 60 silver coins per day. How about that? That's a great deal!"

This is a new hunger marketing tactic devised by Norn: first, let customers try it for free, and then gradually raise prices once they become dependent on it.

Tiger-man Onsk chuckled, "Alright! I'll use it for now, and pay later if I like it."

But it soon noticed something was wrong—why was this hand so weak?

It clasped its fingers together, trying to crack them, but found that its left hand was as weak as a sponge and was almost broken by its right hand.

Norn quickly explained that the quality of the transferred organs was consistent with his own, and now Onsk's left hand only had the strength of an ordinary human like himself.

Upon hearing this, Onsk pondered for a moment, then quickly asked, "If I put your right hand on my body, will my right hand also become just as weak?"

"certainly."

"Can this magic be used on monsters?"

"Monsters? If they're the kind without intelligence, then it's perfectly fine."

From Onsk's delighted gaze, Norn understood its thoughts.

Norn was surprised that he had never thought of using his weak limbs on monsters to weaken their fighting power.

"Brother, if you play like this, you'll have to pay more. I'll charge you 1 gold coin a day."

"No problem! We'll leave tomorrow!" Onsk readily agreed.

The following morning, Onsk and his group met at the tavern as agreed.

They helped Norn register as an adventurer, thus making Norn a bronze-level adventurer.

Then Onsk went to the quest log and accepted a daunting A-rank quest: collect two palm-sized high-purity magic crystals.

This is not a simple gathering task. Natural magic crystals in the dungeon are generally full of impurities and have low purity. At present, the technology for purifying magic crystals is not yet mature. High-purity magic crystals must be obtained by hunting monsters that crave magic power.

These types of monsters regard magic as a stimulant. They implant magic crystals into their bodies, purifying the crystals while bringing them pleasure.

However, due to their long-term absorption of magic power, these monsters are not only physically powerful, but can also unleash some magic, making them extremely dangerous.

This kind of task was not something a Silver-level adventurer like Onsk could normally handle, but now, with Norn's support, it decided to give it a try.

If it can't do it, it'll be the first to run away, since the penalty for breach of contract for such high-risk tasks is usually very low.

With everything prepared, the group arrived at the entrance to the Rotten River Underground City.

On the way, Onsk gave Norn a copy of "The Dead River Dungeon Guide", which contained everything currently known about the Dead River Dungeon.

So far, the deepest level of the Rotten River Underground City that has been reached by anyone is the eighth level. The deeper the level, the more dangerous the monsters that inhabit it.

The first three levels are relatively easy, with fewer powerful monsters, but the danger level of the monsters increases sharply from the fourth level onwards.

Most silver-level adventurers stop at the fourth floor, but Norn and his group's destination was the fifth floor, because magic crystals only started appearing from the fifth floor onwards.

Norn entered the dungeon for the first time, looking around curiously.

The first floor was crowded with people, mostly adventurers and merchants who came to do business.

Along the main road, you can occasionally see a few houses, which are outposts established by the Adventurers' Guild.

Early dungeons were lawless places, where murder and robbery were commonplace.

To prevent such incidents from occurring, the Adventurers' Guild established a stronghold here and regularly dispatched cavalry to patrol the area.

However, this cavalry patrol range is limited to the third floor and above; adventurers can only rely on their own luck in the fourth floor and below.

Therefore, before setting off, Onsk and his group painted their silver and bronze adventurer badges with green paint and hung them in conspicuous places on their bodies.

He intimidated those with ill intentions by presenting himself as a Mithril-class adventurer.

Outside the passageway leading from the third to the fourth floor, Onsk once again instructed Norn:

"After you cross this road, don't wander off or approach any strangers."

Norn nodded in agreement, and the group continued down to the lower level.
