Tokusatsu: Me, the Police God in the Kamen Rider World

Chapter 2: The New Police Officer's Awakening and First Confrontation

"Yes, Mr. Renno!" Makura replied, rubbing the back of his head with a pained expression.

Upon hearing these two names, Minato's eyes lit up, and he muttered to himself:

Aren't these two the police officers whose connection to Shotaro Hidari is written in the notebook?

The key figure in the Futo Police Department is exactly as recorded.

Renno stroked his chin, pondered for a moment, and then waved to Minato:

"Alright, Watergate patrol officer, follow me for now. Now that you're here, I can't just send you back."

Minato smiled and replied, "Okay!"

He then joined Renno and his group, embarking on his first mission in Fuuto.

He secretly made a note in his notebook: the first dopant to appear, suspected to be of lava properties.

Just as I was pondering this, a commotion suddenly broke out behind me.

When Minato turned around, wasn't that the protagonist Shotaro Hidari from the notebook?

Right now, he's arguing heatedly with Masakura, who just got slapped on the back of the head.

Just as the records show, the two bickered whenever they met, like natural enemies.

Judging from his appearance, Shotaro Hidari seems to be looking for some clue.

Detectives and police officers are inherently unlikely to work together.

Minato couldn't help but curl the corners of his mouth into a smile, only to see Renno walk over helplessly and slap Masakura on the head again.

"Ouch! Ouch! Ouch!" Masakura winced in pain.

"Makura, get out of my way!"

Renno glared at him irritably, "Do you two have some deep-seated grudge or something?"

They start arguing as soon as they meet! Shotaro, you've come at the right time, come lend a hand.

As he spoke, he pulled Shotaro Sato aside.

While the two were talking, Minato had already squatted down and was carefully examining the marks on the ground.

The steel bars on the fourth floor had all melted into twisted molten iron, he thought to himself:

As expected of a lava-doped material, its destructive power is considerable.

Just then, I heard Shotaro Hidari and Renno talking.

"Mr. Renno, I'm sorry I'm late." Shotaro's voice was tinged with apology.

Renno smiled and patted him on the shoulder:

"Your nose is as sharp as ever; you found me so quickly."

Look here, the foundation of the fourth floor has been melted, the power…”

"Is it the dopant that's causing this?"

Akiko Narumi, standing to the side, frowned and interjected with a puzzled look.

Before anyone could answer her, Minato's clear voice rang out:

"It looks like a lava-doped material."

Shotaro was stunned for a moment before he noticed the unfamiliar policeman.

He subconsciously touched his hat, looking puzzled, and asked, "Hey, who are you?"

"I'm Minato Namikaze, the new patrolman." Minato stood up, smiling, and extended his hand.

"You must be Mr. Shotaro Sasaki? It's an honor to meet you."

"Oh, Shotaro Sasaki." Shotaro Sasaki shook his hand, still somewhat bewildered.

Renno was also somewhat surprised, looking at Minato: "Inspector Minato, you also know about dopants?"

"Well, although I just arrived, I've been keeping an eye on the situation in Fengdu. I have that much common sense."

Minato smiled frankly, offering no further explanation.

Renno nodded, didn't ask any further questions, and turned to Shotaro Hidari to tell him about the case:

"This is the third time something like this has happened recently, and this one is the most serious."

As he spoke, he handed over the intelligence he was holding. Having worked together for so many years, he had always trusted Shotaro.

Minato stood to the side watching and sighed softly.

The Fengdu police force seems to be quite used to relying on others for help. Asking for help is fine, but they can't just push all their cases away.

He shook his head and didn't say anything more—he was new here, and he couldn't just confront his boss as soon as he started working; he should observe the situation first.

When the police team left, Shui Men did not go with them, intending to look for clues in the surrounding area on his own.

We have too few clues right now, and just waiting for intelligence won't get us anywhere.

"I'll ask Shotaro Sato," he thought to himself. "That guy's a local, he has a lot of information channels, and as the protagonist..."

This case is definitely related to his client.

But he didn't expect that when he found Shotaro, the other party was in a rather bad situation.

Shotaro was holding the photo that Renno had given him and talking to the person on the other end of the phone.

"Hey Philip, did you see what I sent you?"

Philip's voice came from the other end of the phone, tinged with curiosity:

"I see it. It's quite interesting. If I'm not mistaken, the true form of the memory should be..."

Before he could finish speaking, Shotaro Hidari interrupted him: "Lava?"

"Huh? You guessed it so quickly this time? That's rare." Philip's voice was full of surprise.

"It wasn't my guess, it was something a new policeman said."

As Shotaro Zuo spoke, he couldn't help but mutter to himself, recalling Minato's cheerful face.

"That guy is quite handsome; I remembered him at first glance."

"Police?" Philip paused, taken aback. "The police in Wind City actually recognize a hybrid?"

He wanted to ask more, but Shotaro suddenly froze. Not far ahead, flames soared into the sky, revealing a monster engulfed in flames.

It was slowly crawling out from underground. The monster had a ferocious face, and its entire body was enveloped in flames.

A faint, mocking smile played on his face, a smile that seemed both sarcastic and expectant.

"It really is a lava dopant!" Shotaro's face darkened.

"W-What is this?!" Akiko Narumi screamed in fright, having never seen anything like it before.

Before he could comfort her, Shotaro said urgently into the phone, "Philip, I have to go now, I'll contact you later!"

After saying that, he hung up the phone, grabbed the terrified Akiko, and ran away.

The lava dopant let out a cold laugh, full of the smugness of a hunter seeing his prey.

Without hesitation, it roared, and its flames surged instantly, followed by a terrifying pillar of fire that shot straight towards the two of them.

Fortunately, Shotaro was well-equipped and immediately threw out a spider silk-like device, pulling Akiko into the air and barely dodging the pillar of fire.

The dopant looked at the empty ground, assuming the two had been burned to ashes, and turned to leave.

But just then, a cheerful, slightly teasing voice rang out:

"Mr. Shotaro, are you doing some kind of aerial acrobatics? That's not a very graceful pose."

Shotaro, who was hanging in mid-air, was startled. He looked in the direction of the sound and saw Minato walking slowly over with his signature smile on his face.

He panicked instantly, yelling with a dark expression, "Run, you idiot! Can't you see that monster?"

He was truly impressed by this new policeman. What time was it? He still dared to walk over so slowly; he was simply stubborn.

Minato scratched his head and chuckled, "Why run?" His eyes lit up, brimming with gleaming fighting spirit.

"I trained at the police academy for so long, not so that I could run away from criminals."

If I run away at the sight of criminals, what's the point of being a policeman?

"You're absolutely unreasonable!" Shotaro was so angry he wanted to curse, but the next second...

His eyes widened, and he was so shocked he couldn't speak. "That...that's impossible!"

He actually saw a driver that looked very similar to his uncle's belt, but was different, and a memory chip!
