Tokusatsu: Me, the Police God in the Kamen Rider World
Chapter 22 An Unfinished Encounter and an Emergency Call
A flicker of hesitation crossed her beautiful eyes. She gently bit her red lips, her tone slightly playful:
"Should I go up and meet him formally? I'm really looking forward to seeing what he thinks of me."
Just as he lifted his foot, his phone rang. A message from his father popped up: "Mick is injured!"
The expectation in the girl's eyes was instantly dispelled by helplessness and panic. Her gaze lingered on the apartment room in Shuimen for a few seconds before she finally turned and hurriedly left.
Let's have a formal meeting next time.
But when she got home, she bumped into a strange middle-aged man.
The older man looked at her with ill intent, and the girl pursed her lips and clicked her tongue without making a sound.
Out of the corner of my eye, I glanced at the documents on the table, and the four characters "Minato Namikaze" were clearly visible. The atmosphere in the house also felt somewhat heavy.
Without thinking, she spotted her beloved Mikkel and immediately called out, "Mikkel!"
The next morning, Minato Namikaze changed his clothes and planned to go to the police station.
Today was special for him; he was getting a promotion. He'd only been with the company for almost a month and had already solved four major cases. Although it was a bit early, his promotion application was approved.
After changing into his uniform, he tidied his messy hair, put on his police cap, and couldn't help but smile.
The promotion came faster than expected, but it was also to be expected—the merits were undeniable.
He rode his motorcycle to the police station and mentally shouted, "Check in!"
"Ding, congratulations on successfully checking in, you have gained 500 weapon proficiency experience points."
"Ding, weapon mastery has entered the second stage. 9600 more experience points are needed to advance to the next stage."
Minato raised an eyebrow, thinking to himself: The system said that the second stage level is equivalent to someone who has trained for five years.
With this amount of experience, the third stage will probably take a lot of effort.
A moment later, he arrived at the door of the superintendent's office, raised his hand, and knocked: "Report."
"Please come in."
The office was filled with the same old pleasantries, nothing more than expressing optimism about him, encouraging him to keep up the good work, and telling him that the future was bright for him.
Minato smiled and agreed. When he walked out of the office, he was already the head of the inspection department.
He sat back down at his workstation with a smile, and the system notification sounded in his mind again:
"Ding! Congratulations to the host for being promoted to patrol minister. Reward: 3000 sign-in points and 3000 experience points in all abilities."
Minato's eyes lit up, his face beaming with smug delight. Was the system celebrating his promotion? That was incredibly generous.
On second thought, it makes sense. The Police God system is designed with a focus on police-related matters in mind, so it's reasonable to give rewards for promotions.
It's just a bit of a pity that we haven't collected all the memory chips yet.
He only has 8 out of 26 T2 memory modules. He thought they wouldn't be hard to find, but it seems he underestimated the difficulty.
But he was content; having the Eternal Memory from the start was enough for him to establish himself in Fuuto. Indeed, people are greedy.
He silently brought up the system panel:
Name: Minato Namikaze
Currently held memory: eternal, heat, luna, nasca, metal, clcyone, ocean
Ability: Weapon Mastery (Stage 2, 6600 experience points required to advance to the next stage)
Insightful Observation (Third Stage, 42000 experience points required to advance to the next stage)
Cycling (Phase 3, 50,000 experience points needed to proceed to the next phase)
Current check-in point: 1800
Reaching the third stage of cycling means that he can skillfully operate any mode of transportation, whether it's an airplane or a tank.
His rapid progress was largely due to his time at the police academy, where he learned about almost all common modes of transportation.
Suppressing his excitement, Minato picked up the documents and flipped through them, quietly waiting for the next case to come his way.
In the training room of the Fengdu Police Station, the sounds of fists and feet hitting sandbags echoed continuously.
The other officers stared in disbelief, their mouths agape, wide enough to fit two eggs, as they gazed intently at the handsome figure.
Sweat dripped from Minato Namikaze's forehead onto the wooden board, and the sandbag in front of him was already deformed from being hit so hard.
Not far away, Mikio Renno was scratching his back with a strange object in his hand. He slowly closed his mouth and patted Makura hard beside him.
"Look at Minato's power, and look at you, your belly's practically bulging like a ball!" he said.
He subconsciously touched his stomach, thinking to himself: I think I've gained weight recently, probably since Minato arrived.
The police station's crime-solving rate skyrocketed, and these veterans also became complacent.
This power is truly terrifying. Renno couldn't help but swallow hard as he looked at Minato's vaguely visible eight-pack abs.
He had nothing to say but envy; that body was simply perfect.
Masakura, standing to the side, scratched his head with a wry smile, stared at the deformed sandbag, gasped, and muttered under his breath, "Minato is too amazing..."
Minato wiped the sweat from his brow, his eyes full of relaxation—this level of training was nothing more than routine for him.
He worked much harder back in the police academy, giving it his all to become stronger, and thankfully, he's finally reaping the rewards.
He had just sat down to drink some water when several policewomen surrounded him, offering him towels and energy drinks.
Minato smiled and waved his hand, finally managing to get rid of the group of girls who were "coveting his physique".
He had just calmed down when his phone lit up. He actually wanted to follow in the footsteps of Shotaro and the others.
I wanted to make a custom phone using special memory, but unfortunately, there aren't enough check-in points available for customization now.
A thought flashed through his mind, and as he opened his phone and saw the message, his expression darkened slightly.
He glanced around, walked to a corner, dialed a number, and said respectfully, "Moshi Moshi, Professor Sawashima."
Professor Sawashima was his mentor at the police academy and the person he respected most. A gentle voice came from the other end of the phone:
"Minato...we have the information you requested."
Minato's expression darkened again, and he lowered his voice: "Thank you for your trouble, teacher."
After hanging up the phone, Shui Men had an address in his mind, a clue that could lead to the exact location of the superpowered research soldiers.
Those soldiers are called Quarks.
Quarks are cellular warriors enhanced by superpowers, somewhat similar to the immortal beings like Katsumi Daido.
Dr. Prosper Pacter and Foundation X are involved behind the scenes.
When Shuimen was a sophomore at the Police Academy, he went to Southeast Asia for an internship.
It was an ordinary task, but it became completely different because of Quark.
During that internship, many classmates and accompanying teachers sacrificed their lives, and it was from that moment that he began to crave power for the first time.
Since obtaining the eternal memory, he has asked acquaintances to investigate Quark's whereabouts, and now there is finally news.
A flicker of emotion, and an undisguised killing intent, flashed in Minato's eyes: "Quark... I've finally found you."
Besides seeking revenge for what happened back then, he was also very interested in Quark's superpowers.
The Eternal Memory allows him to use the Zone to impersonate all twenty-six memories, making him very powerful, but it places extremely high demands on the user.
When he doesn't transform, he's just an ordinary person with slightly more strength than the average person, and Quark's superpowers are currently the easiest for him to acquire.
The only trouble is that it will take some time to find it.
The clue lies on an island, and Professor Sawashima's tone clearly disapproved of his past.
But whether it's for revenge or to gain superpowers, he has to go.
Superpowers were more appealing to him than completing tasks and earning points.
