Tokusatsu: Me, the Police God in the Kamen Rider World

Chapter 23 The Leaked Tracks and the Professor's Death

Shuimen quickly changed his clothes, intending to ask for leave to go to Southeast Asia.

The leave application went smoothly without any obstacles. After being granted a month's leave, he went directly to the Narumi Detective Agency.

The office was still bustling with activity. Shotaro, Philip, and Akiko chatted and laughed like a family.

As soon as Minato pushed open the door, he heard Shotaro's voice: "Is the request here?"

Upon recognizing the newcomer as Minato, Shotaro's face instantly fell: "Namikaze Minato?"

"Why are you here again! Nothing good ever comes from seeing you!" Clearly, he was still holding a grudge about the athlete's foot incident from last time.

Minato smiled and waved his hand, his tone serious: "I'm going to leave Fuuto for a while."

The office fell silent instantly upon hearing this, and all three of them were stunned.

The first to react was the oblivious Narumi Akiko, who stared at Minato in astonishment: "Minato-kun is leaving Fuuto? Why?"

Philip also snapped out of his daze. He didn't speak, but the confusion in his eyes was unmistakable, and he muttered to himself.

If Shuimen leaves, what will happen to all the books that haven't been finished?

Last time he discovered that locked books require a key, and the Elysium Tornado requires a partner to synchronize. So what will be the key to Minato?

Shotaro was stunned for a long time before exclaiming dramatically, "What?! You're leaving?!"

Minato nodded with a smile, secretly chuckling to himself: This guy's reaction is still so slow.

"Why? Were you transferred after your promotion?" Before Zuo Xiangtaro could finish speaking, a green slipper landed squarely on his head.

Akiko Narumi's furious voice followed: "You idiot, Shotaro! Minato was promoted before that!"

"Oh right... then why did you leave?" Shotaro rubbed his head, looking puzzled.

"I have some personal matters to attend to, so I've taken a month's leave." Minato looked at the two of them, his tone sincere. "I'd like to ask you two to look after Kazeto while I'm gone."

As he spoke, he looked at Philip and added with a smile, "And Philip..."

Please keep a close eye on Shotaro; I'm really worried about how that half-baked guy can protect Fuuto.

"What?!" Shotaro Hidari instantly bristled. "Who are you calling a half-baked amateur?!"

What hurt him even more was that Philip nodded seriously: "Because Shotaro was only a half-baked guy to begin with."

"That's right, that's right! Without me and Philip, Shotaro can't do anything!" Akiko added.

Seeing the three of them bickering and arguing, Minato's smile deepened.

He quietly left the firm, gently closed the door, and embarked on his journey to Southeast Asia.

After he left Futo, under the Tokyo night sky, a solitary moon illuminated a pale corpse.

Immediately afterwards, a piercing scream tore through the night sky. It was a suicide; the victim was Professor Sawashima from the Tokyo Police Academy.

The morning air at Tokyo Airport was cool. Minato Namikaze, carrying a blue backpack and dressed casually, mingled with the crowd as he walked inside.

He wanted to keep a low profile during his trip to Southeast Asia, so he deliberately wore a white baseball cap and a loose sweatshirt to conceal his presence.

But his upright posture and undeniable energy still drew many people's attention.

A short while later, he boarded a plane bound for Southeast Asia. Just two minutes after sitting down, a thought began to creep into his mind: something was wrong.

There were about forty people on the plane, and as soon as he boarded, at least thirty pairs of eyes scanned him.

That look wasn't about looks; it was more like a trap had been set, waiting for the prey to fall into it.

Minato raised an eyebrow, deliberately pulled his hat down a bit, and wore his usual sunny smile, looking lazy and as if he were asleep.

But the sharpness in his eyes couldn't be hidden. He subtly scanned everyone in the cabin, already knowing in his heart that this matter was more troublesome than expected.

The plane flew for several hours, and apart from the initial strange looks, it was quite calm.

As he entered Southeast Asian airspace, a fresh-faced young woman walked past him, her face filled with regret and sympathy. She bit her lip and went back to the cockpit without looking back.

Immediately afterwards, as if by prior arrangement, the other passengers got up one by one to say they needed to go to the restroom.

Minato simply leaned back in his chair, closed his eyes and pretended to be asleep, letting those scrutinizing gazes sweep over him.

Until the last person came over—a woman of ordinary appearance.

She exchanged a glance with the man sitting next to Minato, then suddenly reached out and grabbed Minato's right arm, trying to restrain him.

But as soon as her hand touched Minato's clothes, Minato, who had been keeping his eyes closed, suddenly opened them, his eyes bright and knowing smile.

He suddenly turned around and jumped up, knocking out the man next to him who was about to attack him, his tone as casual as if he were chatting:

"Hey, what's going on here? I'm just taking a plane ride, is this all this fuss?"

No one responded to him. The group of over thirty people exchanged glances and then rushed towards him in unison.

Minato scoffed lightly, his figure swayed, and with nimble hands and feet, he took down several people in no time.

Unexpectedly, these people resorted to underhanded tactics when they couldn't win. Suddenly, someone raised their hand and spat out a ball of flame.

Minato's expression remained unchanged as he dodged the flames. A furious shout rang in his ears: "Damn it! The professor said we can't kill him, we have to capture him alive!"

His eyes lit up, intrigued, and he deliberately tried to elicit information, his tone teasing: "Professor? Which professor, with such an air of importance?"

The leader was a burly man with a crew cut, a mocking expression on his face: "You'll see when you meet the professor!" With a wave of his hand, he shouted, "Go!"

Minato chuckled, his tone casual: "Oh? You mean Dr. Prosper Pact? And the Quark gang?"

Upon hearing this, the group's expressions instantly changed. Minato was certain, yet also had doubts:

How did they know they were on this plane? And why did they insist on capturing him alive?

But now is not the time to think about these things. The other party is a superhuman, and physical strength alone is not enough.

He casually pulled the driver out of his backpack, whispered "eternal," and then uttered "henshin."

With swift and decisive movements, he instantly transformed into a pure white knight. A flick of his cape behind him exuded an aura of power.

The Quark people stared at the suddenly appearing pure white knight, especially at his pair of golden compound eyes.

Startled, someone couldn't help but mutter, "Holy crap! He's cheating too?"

The leader, with his crew cut, felt his heart sink. He shouted in a low voice, "The intelligence was wrong! He's not an ordinary person! Suppress him with telekinesis!"

"Understood!" Several people stepped forward and raised their hands to release their telekinetic energy towards Minato.

Minato felt an invisible pressure surge in and tightly envelop him.

He frowned slightly, his golden compound eyes sweeping over the crowd, and suddenly leaped up, easily breaking free from the shackles of telekinesis.

"What?!" "Damn it! Telekinesis can't hold him down!" "Quick, all of you, we have to catch him!"

Amidst the chaotic shouts, the pure white knight, like a streak of white light, weaved through the crowd as if it were nothing.

He rushed up to the leader of the crew-cut gang and punched him in the stomach, deliberately holding back most of his strength.

After all, if someone damages the cabin while on an airplane, everyone will be doomed.
