Tokusatsu: Me, the Police God in the Kamen Rider World

Chapter 4 Tender Thoughts During Breaks in Solving the Case

Minato's expression changed slightly, and he realized something was wrong. The monster was rushing towards Togawa Yosuke, and it was too late for him to stop it.

Yosuke Togawa's body was instantly dragged underground by the dinosaur monster, and the tremors gradually disappeared.

"Damn it!" Minato clenched his fists, his voice full of frustration.

The relaxed expression from before completely vanished, replaced by a serious look in his eyes. This matter was clearly much more complicated than it appeared.

Just then, the system's voice rang in his mind:

"Ding, congratulations to the host for defeating the lava dopant and gaining 500 sign-in points."

Minato's heart skipped a beat. The lack of notification that the case had been solved meant that things weren't over yet.

That dinosaur-like hybrid is definitely related to this case.

He turned to look at Shotaro. Shotaro's reaction just now clearly indicated that he knew Yosuke Togawa. Perhaps he could get some clues from him.

Minato's gaze was fixed on Shotaro, making him feel extremely uncomfortable.

Shotaro scratched his nose, puzzled, and asked, "Why are you staring at me like that?"

"You know that person from earlier, don't you?" Minato asked bluntly.

Shotaro's heart skipped a beat, and he was about to cover it up when Akiko spoke up first:

"That's the boyfriend our client is looking for!"

"Hey, you idiot! This is the client's privacy, how can you just say things like that!" Shotaro jumped up and down in a panic.

"You're the idiot! I'm your landlord!"

Akiko snorted defiantly, pulled a green slipper out of her bag, and slapped it on Shotaro's head.

Minato watched the two bickering and couldn't help but chuckle, then thanked them, saying, "Thank you, little sister."

"???" Akiko looked bewildered, while Shotaro laughed so hard he couldn't stand up straight:

"Haha, see! I'm not the only one who thinks she looks like a little sister!"

Minato then belatedly realized that he vaguely remembered...

Akiko Narumi is the daughter of Shokichi Narumi and the director of the Narumi Detective Agency. She is already twenty years old, but looks much younger than her age.

Even her figure is like that of a middle school girl. No wonder he got confused.

Those memories are from more than ten years ago, and in addition, he has devoted himself to training for the past eight years, so it is normal that he can't remember people.

He quickly waved his hand and apologized sincerely, "Oh, I'm so sorry!"

My memory is terrible, I didn't remember your age, please don't be angry.

Looking at his handsome and sincere face, Akiko's anger subsided considerably.

It would be such a waste to ruin such a handsome face. She pouted, "Never mind."

Minato smiled and pressed on, "Who was the person you were referring to as the client?"

What's her boyfriend's name?

Shotaro knew he couldn't avoid it, so he sighed softly, his expression turning serious.

"The client is my childhood friend Marina, and her boyfriend is the one from earlier, Yosuke Togawa."

Then he briefly explained Marina's request to find a boyfriend.

After listening, Minato's eyes lit up, a vague memory flashed through his mind, and he nodded thoughtfully: "Alright, thank you for the information."

Shotaro felt a little uncomfortable after being thanked, and a somewhat awkward expression appeared on his face.

He didn't have a good impression of the police to begin with, but a competitive spirit inexplicably arose in his heart.

It's one thing to lose in looks, but you can't lose in crime-solving skills!

He was secretly competing with himself:

Minato Namikaze, huh? Just you wait, with Philip's help, I'll definitely solve the case first!

Even without a reward, it's still satisfying to beat the police!

Seeing his defiant spirit, Minato couldn't help but smile.

This kid's pretty competitive. But this case is getting more and more interesting; he won't give up easily.

Having obtained the necessary information, Minato Namikaze hummed a cheerful tune as he returned to the police station alone.

Since they've become Kamen Riders, it would be a shame not to have a cool motorcycle.

As he pondered this, he pushed open the door to the police station and went straight to Mr. Renno.

The other party has a lot of information about this case.

Having successfully received the documents from Renno, and seeing the other man's approving gaze, Minato smiled, waved, and walked out.

As soon as I stepped out of the office, a loud banging sound came from inside, followed by Mikio Renno's booming roar:

"Makura! Look at Minato!"

Talent combined with hard work—that's what makes a genius, you know?

"I'm so sorry!" Makura's apology followed immediately.

Hearing the commotion inside, Minato couldn't help but smile. Without stopping, he found a quiet corner to sit down.

There was a stack of documents on the table, some of which he had found himself, and some of which were given to him by Renno Go.

He first looked through Yosuke Togawa's file; he was a former Winskel employee who had just been laid off.

Looking at the recent attack locations, they are all places where Togawa used to live, clearly an act of revenge.

Minato paused when he turned to the last document; it was Marina's.

She used to be a designer at Winskell, but she was laid off not long ago. I heard that her design was stolen, and she was instead accused of plagiarism. The specific reasons have not yet been investigated.

Minato tapped the table with his fingertips, his eyes suddenly lighting up: "Oh? So that's how it is!"

The truth is becoming clearer, but the evidence is still nowhere to be found.

He pondered for a moment, then gathered up all the documents and turned to go back to his residence.

It was already past midnight, and the lonely moon hung in the sky, its soft light falling on his shoulders.

He drove his white sedan and arrived in no time.

The place was not far from the police station; it was a two-story apartment building, and each unit still had an old-fashioned mailbox, which gave it a unique charm.

The system was quite considerate, giving him a nice house and enough money to last him a lifetime.

But when he opened his mailbox, he was stunned to find it full of letters.

He reached out and rummaged through it, scratching his head and muttering, "Wasn't this sent by Ruo-chan?"

Ruojiang was a pen pal he met by chance.

When he first arrived in Fengdu, he was all alone. He found a letter signed by Ruojiang and replied out of curiosity. They became acquainted after a few exchanges.

Yuka and Keitaro have both started online dating, but he's still clinging to this outdated form of correspondence.

But to be honest, during those days, Ruojiang's letters did give him a lot of warmth and made him feel less lonely in this unfamiliar city.

However, Ruo-chan's condition deteriorated later, and with him moving to Tokyo, their correspondence gradually decreased.

Minato held the letter in his arms, opened the door, and went inside. He lived alone, but his room was well-fed with all the necessary necessities.

It just felt a bit empty. He tidied up briefly, then opened a letter and began to read it aloud.

"To Mr. Jiang Mu, it's been a long time since I received a reply from you. I wonder how you are doing in Tokyo."

Sorry to complain to you again. You probably won't even see this, but I still wanted you to hear my voice.

Actually, recently...

Jiang Mu was his former Chinese name, which he stopped using after coming to Japan and only used as a pen name. It was a small solace he sought from the outside world when he was lonely.

The letter was the same as always, full of her complaints about her sister and family.
