Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds: The Path of Evolution

Guan Bai already knew that Yego would contact him.

But he didn't expect Yego's message to arrive so quickly.

This is too much of a coincidence.

Tonight, the story has only just begun.

Kanpaku had just accompanied Yusei through the process of the first episode.

As expected, Yego's email was sent to Joel's computer.

It's as if the stage is about to start, and all the actors must prepare backstage in advance.

Is this a coincidence of fate?

Or is someone behind the scenes stirring things up?

Is it the Future Group, or Zone? Have they manipulated the world lines again?

Or perhaps the root cause of these changes lies in more complex external factors?

Guan Bai couldn't understand it.

He was just an ordinary Yu-Gi-Oh! player, without the brilliant minds of Zone and the others.

Guan Bai sighed helplessly.

"Phew... I guess I'll just have to take it one step at a time."

Joel and the others can provide support for themselves, but their abilities are also limited.

And no matter what, the problem will ultimately have to be solved through a duel.

In the end, all I can rely on is my deck of cards.

After shutting down the Duel Disk's communication, Kanpaku returned to the base.

Yusei is checking the condition of the D-Wheel.

He kept typing code on his laptop.

A series of incomprehensible characters appeared like a flowing river, row by row, and then disappeared at the top of the interface.

I can understand Guan Bai a little.

Crab Bro is testing the compatibility between the new D-round chip and the machine body.

After all, he had memorized some of the Planetary's operating manual.

Guan Bai sat down beside the fire.

However, people like Kanpaku only understand D-rounds to the point of "being able to use them to open accounts".

Someone like Yusei Fudo, who can not only ride a duel but also repair D-Wheels, is rare even in the top tier.

He truly is a great family man.

The only downside is that I don't talk much these days.

Furthermore, Kanpaku is not good at finding topics to talk about.

Yusei remained silent, and Kanpaku could only watch him repair the D-Wheel in silence.

There was silence, and the atmosphere was a little awkward.

Since things have come to this, why not open a hole in your brain?

So Guan Bai leaned against the wall and immersed his consciousness into the system.

Tonight's haul was plentiful; not only did I get two card pack slots, but I also had a lot of easy-to-open Spell & Trap packs.

A total of 50 card packs!!

For Kanpaku, a gacha enthusiast, that's paradise!

Open all the Dragon Rider card packs right away!

Fifteen consecutive draws!

Give me a broken one!

Seventy-five cards, after removing useless miscellaneous cards and ordinary cards, are the Dragon Riders' own cards.

Dragoon Regiment - Commander, Dragon Tamer, Thunder Lance Dragoon, Forked Dragon, Small Javelin Dragon...

That's the downside of the Dragon Riders; as a large slot, they have too many of their own cards.

This means that even with themed card packs, the probability of drawing a small toy from the same brand is not small.

Guan Bai continued sliding down... sliding down... a dazzling venue appeared before his eyes.

A Silver Dragon Valley!

This is a core card of the Dragoon Legion, combining deck building and graveyard searching!

You can easily search for subordinate units of your own faction by simply throwing a small dragon. If you have a small dragon in hand, you can also throw a small dragon to search for commanders and legions to perform combos.

Most importantly, this card has no limit of being used once per turn!

Paired with Blackfeather - Elite Zephyrus, it can not only boost the field value, but also allow you to play again and open another search!

It has countless ingenious uses.

Of course, the Black Feather Card is for Kro's exclusive use.

I'll go ask him tomorrow if he can give me one.

Considering the planetary terraforming I drew before, I now have "two" Dragon Valley cards.

Open the Great Sun and Spell & Trap card packs again.

The Great Sun has an extra copy of Epsilon and Sigma, and an extra material and a fragment for equipment.

There's also a copy of the original over-saturation card, Double Sigma Great Sun.

That is, the Great Sun Angel who has been corrupted by demonic possession.

The gold machinery with a black background resembles a large, grinning face.

It's less of a celestial mechanic and more of a mechanical demon!

Its effect is to equip the opponent's Effect Monster as an Equip Card.

Non-destructive effects can sometimes have surprising results.

Well, if this were Zexal, Kanpaku would put it in the Extra Deck as a removal card.

Unfortunately, this is a 5ds.

Without an Xyz network, it's impossible to perform an Xyz Summon!

Therefore, I can only put it in the system as a viewing card.

Thinking this, Guan Bai had another idea.

Why doesn't he think about it the other way around?

While Double Sigma might not be useful in card games, it could be incredibly effective in Mortal Kombat.

Its ability is that of a monster with absorption effects!

That's the decision.

Next time I have the chance, I'll try using the power of the Great Sun to activate the card spirit of this card.

Kanpaku then reorganized several decks based on the newly drawn cards.

He now has four complete decks!

Great Sun, Next Generation, Valley of the Mist, Dragoon.

These cards are his source of confidence and security!

The shadows that had been looming overhead seemed to be dispelled as well.

It's just the Lucky Cup arc, and the world line just inexplicably shifted, right?

Guan Bai gave a silent, cold laugh.

Ha, I fear his sharp edge?!

After making a mental joke, Guan Bai let out a sigh of relief.

As his initial tension eased, drowsiness finally overwhelmed Kanpaku's brain.

the next day.

When he woke up, Yusei was still checking the D-Wheel.

If it weren't for the signs that the blanket on the floor had been moved, Guan Bai would have thought he was exhausted and had been fixing cars all night.

However, it doesn't seem like it's uncommon for tech geeks to work on products all night.

"Are you leaving?"

Yusei stopped repairing the car and put his tools aside.

Guan Bai nodded.

"Yes, my friend needs to talk to me."

Yusei Fudo nodded and disassembled some of the wires connected to his D-Wheel.

He straightened the Yusei with both hands and invited Kanpaku.

"Let's go for one last lap before we part ways."

Yusei maintained the same calm expression.

But Kanpaku inexplicably sensed a hint of anticipation in Yusei's tone.

It seems he is very satisfied with the new state of the Starship and is eager to try it out.

"Alright, let's go!"

The two boarded their respective D-wheels and sped away amidst a roar.

……

Grey Snake Studio.

When Kanpaku pushed open the door and came in, he saw Joel sitting in the living room.

She was dressed in a black office lady outfit, nodding her head slumped as she leaned against the sofa, looking dazed.

It seems Joel stayed up all night again.

But if they're still not asleep, are they waiting for me?

Guan Bai gently closed the door.

However, even this simple action startled Joel awake.

"Ah, it's the Kanpaku!!"

Upon seeing Guan Bai's face, it was as if a switch had been flipped.

Just as Joel was on the verge of falling asleep, he suddenly woke up, sprang to his feet, and jumped from the sofa to stand in front of Guan Bai.

Her bright smile drew closer.

"You saw the news about Yego, right?"

"Now, our studio is about to take a brand new step!!"

"Kanpaku, you're truly my lucky star!!"
