Marvel: Starting with the forced creation of villainous characters
Chapter 56: Why is Iron Man fighting the Winter Soldier?
After all, he was going to shut down all the weapons departments, not cut them off. Many of the equipment and projects in the weapons departments could be used for energy purposes with slight modifications.
Although he no longer wanted to produce weapons that killed people, that did not stop him from selling off the weapons division.
He originally intended to sell them, but now that he could use them to save his life, it wasn't out of the question.
"Sure, but I'd also like to add Stark Industries' weapons technology." Mark nodded.
Tony Stark shrugged and passed the buck: "You'll have to talk to Potts about that."
Mark nodded. He was happy as long as the other party was willing to give him the weapons department. As for the weapons technology, he didn't want too much. After all, asking for too much would be overwhelming. He would be satisfied with getting half of it.
"Here's the new element you wanted. Have a nice day." Mark placed a USB drive on the table. He knew this guy had a quirk; he didn't really like taking things handed to him by others.
Getting this new element is actually quite simple; all you need to do is find the architectural model of Stark Industries and then ask Sheldon for help.
This doesn't require much technical skill; in fact, any college student in this field could obtain the method for synthesizing that new element by following the approach shown in the movie.
Tony Stark also noticed this detail; he raised an eyebrow and then picked up the USB drive on the table.
Tony Stark, picking up the USB drive, said, "I need to verify it."
Mark nodded, then said to Sharon Carter beside him, "Sister Sharon, I'm leaving the takeover of Stark Industries' weapons division to you. If possible, I'd like you to help me set up a new weapons company and be in charge of it."
Sharon Carter, who was not in a good mood to begin with, looked at Mark with some surprise. She did not expect that Mark would go to great lengths to get into the weapons department and then hand it over to her.
It's impossible not to be moved.
It's important to know that Stark Industries made its fortune in weapons; it's no exaggeration to say that Stark Industries' weapons division accounts for half of the company's business.
Now, Mark has unhesitatingly handed over half of the country to me; what a great deal of trust that is!
"Leave it to me," Sharon Carter said with utmost seriousness.
She felt this might be a test from Mark, and in order not to disappoint him, she had to give it her all.
In fact, this is unavoidable. Although Stark Industries' weapons division is privately owned, it is still an important asset of the United States.
Neither the government nor the military would allow someone who is not aligned with the United States to take over this asset.
So she had no choice but to push Sharon Carter forward, since her aunt was still alive and Sharon Carter could step in to save the day.
Yes, it was to save the day.
If any other company had taken over this weapons division, it would have been a bargain, but it's a different story when Sharon Carter took it over.
They would think that Tony was giving the Carter family face by not completely shutting down the weapons department, but rather pulling off a so-called "golden cicada shedding its shell" maneuver.
Tony Stark was happy to see this happen. Although he was rich and one of the military's biggest financial backers, he didn't want to offend the military too much if possible.
After the deal was finalized, Mark left Stark's villa.
After dropping Mark off at home, Sharon Carter hurriedly left because she still had to deal with the retaliation from the "cannibalistic elites" and matters concerning Stark Industries' weapons division.
The negotiations went very well, as the deal had already been reached. The only remaining issues to be negotiated were some details, such as the definition of the weapons technology.
In the president's office of Stark Industries.
Obadiah was furious.
He had originally planned that after killing that playboy Tony Stark, he could take over Stark Industries and then reopen the weapons division.
Before they could even begin their own plans, that bastard Tony Stark sold off the weapons division.
Without its weapons division and Tony Stark, Stark Industries is just a second-rate company.
How could Obadiah accept this?
"My good nephew! You forced me to do this!" Obadiah said through gritted teeth, his face dark.
He didn't know if the two sides had signed a contract yet, but one thing was certain: if he didn't take action soon, even if he eventually acquired Stark Industries, he would only be taking over a second-rate company.
Because he didn't get the Arc Reactor, Obadiah didn't drive the Iron Monger to Tony Stark for a real man's duel.
Obadiah dialed a very secretive phone number.
"I agree to your request, but you must take care of Tony Stark for me tonight," Obadiah said in a low voice.
The person on the other end of the phone said smugly, "No problem, I'll show you the power of Hydra. After today, I'll make you realize that joining Hydra was the greatest stroke of luck in your life."
"I hope so." After hanging up the phone, Obadiah straightened his clothes, got up, and left the office.
Because he still has to sabotage the talks between the two sides, at least until Tony Stark is killed.
It's 10 p.m.
Mark was about to go to sleep when he was woken up by a series of urgent knocks on the door.
Skylar's excited voice came from outside: "Mark, come quick! Big news!"
Upon hearing this, Mark jumped out of bed, opened the door, and saw Skye looking excited.
The living room lights were still on, and even the television was still on, and there was an extremely noisy noise coming from there.
"What's wrong?" Mark asked, puzzled.
"You'll know once you watch the news." Skye pulled Mark to sit on the sofa and then watched the excitement.
At this moment, Mark finally saw the news on television.
A mysterious figure wearing exoskeleton armor is engaged in a one-on-one fight with a long-haired man whose right hand is a robotic arm and whose face is covered by a mask.
Skye excitedly introduced, "How was it? Wasn't it amazing? This isn't a movie, it's a live news broadcast."
He knew, of course, that couldn't be a movie, because he knew both of those people on TV.
Shouldn't Iron Man be fighting Iron Man? Why is he fighting Winter Soldier instead? Without the bond of a best friend, Winter Soldier shouldn't be able to beat Iron Man, right?
No, now is not the time to worry about whether the Winter Soldier can beat Iron Man.
The real question now is, why is Iron Man fighting the Winter Soldier? Where's the Iron Monger? Where's my massive Iron Monger?
As the saying goes, speak of Cao Cao and he appears.
Just when the Winter Soldier was being suppressed by Iron Man and was about to be defeated by Iron Man alone, the real protagonist appeared.
A massive mech descended from the sky, throwing Iron Man flying.
The Iron Monger makes its dazzling debut.
