Jessica had been involved in the entire process of blackmailing Obama, so she knew about Mark's plan.

So she nodded without hesitation, and after putting on her battle suit, Jessica headed to the scene alone.

Jessica, who was already capable of low-altitude flight, quickly arrived at the scene.

The battle between Iron Man and Iron Monger is not over yet, but it's clear to everyone that Iron Monger is about to collapse.

"Damn it! Tony Stark! Why don't you guys just die?" Obadiah roared in a fit of impotent rage inside the Iron Monger mech.

It's over, it's over.

I should have installed a self-destruct program on the Iron Monger.

Mark: "I think so too."

If there were a self-destruct mechanism, none of this would have happened.

"Obadia, surrender. You should know you can't hold out much longer," Tony urged over the comms.

He had already arranged for a nursing home-style prison, and even though things had escalated to this point, Tony still wanted to spare Obadiah's life.

"Surrender? My good nephew, are you joking at this moment?" Obadiah simply did not accept Tony's good intentions.

Once he loses his power and status, he will face life imprisonment. At that point, Hydra, lurking in the shadows, will certainly not let him go, and...

Obadiah thought of the mysterious man who had blackmailed him.

"So you all knew it all along? That's terrifying," Obadiah murmured with a wry smile.

Tony, who had forgotten to disconnect, heard the whisper and curiously asked, "Obadia, what are you saying? What are you referring to as 'you guys'?"

Obadiah didn't answer Tony Stark's question, but instead roared angrily, "Tony Stark, today it's either you or me who dies!"

After speaking, Obadiah launched another attack, this time choosing to unleash all his remaining energy.

A massive explosion instantly engulfed the entire street, engulfing the fearless reporters in flames, and even Tony was caught in the blast, his fate unknown.

A minute later, the flames from the continuous explosions gradually subsided, and the charred Iron Monger lay there helplessly.

The Arc Reactor ran out of energy, and Obadiah became dust encased in iron sheets.

As Tony slowly walked towards him, Obadiah gave a bitter smile, resignedly closed his eyes, and said, "Tony, you win."

Tony didn't reply, but instead ripped off the Iron Monger's mask, revealing Obadiah's ashen face.

"Obadia, I've found you a really good prison. You can spend your next life there and retire there," Tony said condescendingly.

If Obadiah hadn't threatened him with Pepper Potts, he would have cared about her feelings, but Obadiah crossed his bottom line.

Obadiah chose to remain silent. As a loser, he no longer cared about his own life, let alone his dignity.

Seeing that Obadiah remained silent, Tony reached out and grabbed the Iron Monger, preparing to take it away from the scene.

Just then, a sudden change occurred.

A kunai suddenly came flying, its target not Tony, but Obadiah's face.

With lightning-fast reflexes, Tony Stark quickly blocked the kunai with his hand.

"Who is it?" Tony roared.

A stunningly beautiful woman, wielding two forks, jumped off the roof.

Erica said coldly, "Tony Stark, you're not my target. You'd better get out of here now."

Tony, feigning a flirtatious tone, teased, "My beautiful lady, you're really unaware of my true worth. Aren't I more charming than this old man?"

"Get out of the way!" Erica urged coldly.

"That won't do." Tony stepped in front of Iron Monger.

Realizing the other side might be about to make a move, Tony lowered his voice and asked, "Jarvis, analyze the target weapon."

"Made of titanium alloy, the blade is extremely sharp; it is recommended to keep your distance."

Tony raised his right palm, and the Palm Cannon began to charge, with blue arcs of electricity dancing around his gauntlet.

"I suggest you leave immediately, miss," Tony warned again.

Erica is a woman of action. Before Iron Man's palm cannon could fully charge, she suddenly rolled to the right, her body almost sliding along the ground.

The energy beam from the palm cannon grazed her left shoulder and struck the wreckage of the car behind her.

Immediately afterwards, Erica sprang up from the ground, her left foot bracing against a raised concrete slab, using the momentum to change direction. She swooped down on Tony like a dark red falcon, her right hand's hairpin aimed straight for his face.

Tony quickly threw the Iron Monger out of his hand. The thrusters instantly erupted, and his body was pulled back two meters. The tip of the hairpin grazed the helmet visor, leaving a faint white mark.

Tony adjusted his posture in mid-air and unleashed a barrage of palm strikes. Two palm strikes were fired alternately, blocking Erica's evasive maneuvers from the left and right.

Erica didn't back down. Instead, she crouched down, arching her back in an exaggerated arc, as two beams of energy flew past her in a crisscross pattern. She rolled backward, simultaneously flinging a hairpin with her left hand.

The hairpin spun and flew toward Tony's chest. He raised his left arm and used his forearm armor to block it. The tip of the hairpin pierced half a centimeter into the gap in the armor and got stuck next to the hydraulic pipe of the joint.

Tony pulled out the hairpin and threw it to the ground, but Erica had already taken advantage of the moment to close the distance. She leaped more than a meter high, clamped her legs around Tony's right arm, and coiled her whole body around him like a snake.

Immediately afterwards, the hairpin in her right hand pierced fiercely into the seam between Tony's shoulder armor and breastplate—one of the weakest points in the armor.

The hairpin tip pierced through the inner Kevlar lining and into Tony's shoulder muscle.

Tony grunted and fired his right palm cannon at close range, but Erica had already released her grip and flipped backward, so the energy beam only hit the sole of her boot.

Tony landed, a sharp pain shooting through his left shoulder. Blood seeped from the gaps in his armor, trickling down his arm and onto his gauntlet. He glanced down at his energy display—75%.

It doesn't consume much energy, but close combat is clearly not his strength.

Erica stood ten meters away, flicked her right hand, and the blood droplets on the hairpin fell to the ground. She drew a third hairpin from behind her waist, holding one in each hand and one in her mouth. Her breathing was steady, like a leopard locking onto its prey.

"Miss, your target should be Obadiah, right? He's already a loser, and might even be sentenced to death. You don't really need to personally see him off," Tony advised.

The woman in front of him was too fierce. She almost killed him single-handedly with just her flesh and blood and her skills. Tony admired her but was also wary of her.

Meanwhile, on the rooftop of another building, a sniper calmly asked, "Sir, what should we do? Should we make a move?"

The reason they didn't make a move before was because bullets couldn't deal with those two steel mechs.

But things are different now. The new woman doesn't have any protective gear, so if she gets hit by a bullet, she'll be injured even if she doesn't die.

"Wait a little longer," Sharon Carter ordered.

Through the electronic telescope, she knew that the female assassin's target was Obadiah, and it was precisely because she knew this that she was unwilling to take action.
