Marvel: Starting with the forced creation of villainous characters

Chapter 58: Helping the Iron Monarch Take a Shortcut

Seeing Obadiah begin his impotent rage, Tony knew he had achieved his goal.

Tony, who had no intention of confronting the other party head-on, took to the air and flew to the roof of a six-story industrial building.

He crouched on the edge of the rooftop, looking down at the Iron Monger below.

"Hey uncle, are you getting impatient?" Tony mocked again.

Obadiah looked up at him, and the reactor on the Iron Monger's chest glowed with a dark blue light.

Obadiah, who knew what Tony was up to, sneered, "Good nephew, I advise you not to even think about running away, or I'll have no choice but to go back and cause trouble for Potts."

Tony's expression turned cold upon hearing this. His only weakness in the world now was Pepper Potts, and Obadiah had once again crossed his line.

"Obadia, let's settle our score ourselves, come on!" Tony said, extending his middle finger in a provocative gesture.

Seeing that his plan had succeeded, Obadiah quickly manipulated the Iron Monger to crouch down, then activated its leg thrusters at full power, and its massive body rose from the ground, rushing towards the rooftop with a whooshing sound.

Tony jumped backward, and the Iron Monger landed on the rooftop. Cracks spread across the floor beneath his feet like a spider web, and all the windows in the building shattered at the same time.

Determined to kill each other, the two engaged in close combat on the rooftop.

Iron Monger swung his right fist, which Tony ducked to avoid. The fist slammed into the concrete railing on the rooftop, knocking off a section of it. Debris fell onto the street below with a dull thud.

At the same time, a helicopter took off, but it wasn't there to provide support; it was there for a dedicated reporter to broadcast live.

Tony pressed himself close to Iron Monger's torso, placing his palms against his abdomen, and simultaneously fired his Palm Cannon. Blue energy erupted at point-blank range, and the shockwave pushed Iron Monger back two steps, revealing a visible crack in his abdominal armor. But the next second, Iron Monger's left arm swept across, striking Tony in the side.

Tony was thrown back, tumbling and crashing into a large ventilation duct on the roof, twisting and deforming its metal blades.

Tony scrambled to his feet, the taste of blood filling his mouth.

His energy level had dropped to 80%, and the reactor on his chest began to glow.

He looked up at the Iron Monger. He had already lost 20% of his strength, so the Iron Monger's losses must be even greater.

After a moment's thought, he rushed to the edge of the roof and jumped off. Iron King followed suit, and the two of them fell freely in the air.

"Tony! Don't run away if you dare!" Obadiah roared angrily into the communication channel.

Tony's fighting style was absolutely disgusting. He neither ran away nor kept fighting. Watching his energy bar constantly decrease, Obadiah felt like he was slowly dying.

Upon hearing this, Tony charged forward again, and the two began to grapple. He knew how to pull and knew when to give his good uncle a little treat.

But Obadiah's movements became increasingly slower because the Iron Monger's energy bar was about to run out.

Mark, who was watching the scene via live news broadcast, frowned slightly.

If the fighting continues like this, Obadiah's Iron Monger will soon stop working due to lack of energy support. At that point, the bulky Iron Monger will become a cage that Obadiah has built for himself.

Then Obadiah's only fate was to be arrested and imprisoned.

But how can this be allowed?

The most dignified ending for a villain should be to be removed from the story, thus providing fertile ground for the growth of a new generation of villains.

Obadiah must die, but not in prison, otherwise something unexpected might happen, such as Obadiah selling his assets at a low price while in prison.

This kind of thing can happen at Tokyo University, let alone in America.

After hesitating for a moment, Mark stood up, went to the balcony, took out his phone, and dialed a number.

"Hammerhead, get me in touch with the Hand. I need their help to kill someone."

Hammerhead was a little unhappy to hear this. If it was just about killing, he could do it himself. The boss didn't need to find someone else.

He felt this might be a sign that his boss was beginning to doubt his abilities.

"Who are you going to kill?" Hammerhead asked.

"A loser."

Mark's words left Hammerhead somewhat confused, but he soon realized who Mark was talking about.

Mark countered, "Did you watch the Daily Bugle's live news broadcast?"

"Watching it now, these rich people's big toys are really amazing," Hammerhead replied instantly.

Mark: "Obadia is going to lose, but I don't want him to go to jail."

Mark then went on to focus on who controlled Iron Man and the Iron Monger.

After hearing Mark's explanation, Hammerhead immediately understood and realized that he really couldn't do it.

"I'll contact the Hand right away, but their asking price might be a bit high?"

Mark said coldly, "Price doesn't matter, I just want Obadiah dead."

Anyway, it wasn't his money that was being paid. He called Hammerhead because he wanted the other party to cover the cost.

Hammerhead sighed after hanging up the phone; he was probably going to have to spend a lot of money again.

After thinking it over, Hammerhead contacted Alexandra Reed.

Hammerhead said, "Reed, I'm Hammerhead. You owe me a favor."

"Who are you going to kill?" Alexandra Reed asked directly.

Hammerhead mimicked his boss's words, whispering mysteriously, "A loser."

Alexandra Reed: "???"

Feeling tricked, Alexandra retorted sarcastically, "Are you talking about yourself?"

Hammerhead: "..."

Seeing that the other person wasn't cooperating with his act, Hammerhead had no choice but to bite the bullet and continue: "You're watching the news right now, aren't you?"

"I'm watching now. These rich people's toys are getting more and more interesting," Alexandra Reed commented indifferently, but her tone betrayed an undisguised apprehension.

Hammerhead said, "The big guy is Obadiah, the president of Stark Industries, and the small guy is Chairman Tony Stark. Obadiah will soon be a loser, and I need you to deliver the fatal blow when he fails."

Alexandra Reed, on the other end of the phone, squinted at the Iron Monger on the screen.

He couldn't understand why Hammerhead would target a wealthy man who wasn't even in the same circle as them. To put it bluntly, Hammerhead and Obadiah were not even in the same class.

Even ten hammers wouldn't be qualified to mess with Obadiah.

But considering this is the best time to repay a favor, Alexandra said, "If he fails, then it's $30 million."

Alexandra Reed did not say what the price would have been if Obadiah had not failed.

Because if Obadiah hadn't failed, he would still be the big capitalist Obadiah. Although he owed Hammerhead a favor, it wasn't enough for him to assassinate someone of that caliber.

"No problem." Hammerhead nodded decisively.

$3000 million is indeed a lot of money, but it depends on who you want to kill. If Obadiah hadn't failed, killing him wouldn't have cost $3.000 million; it would have cost at least ten times that, and even then, the other party might not have agreed.

Feeling somewhat uneasy, Mark specifically persuaded Jessica to go to the scene and stand by. If Hammerhead's side failed, then he would have no choice but to let Jessica take over.

Even if Jesus came today, Obadiah would still die on the spot.
