Marvel: Starting with the forced creation of villainous characters

Chapter 6: The Cause and Effect - Sharon Carter.

In 2013, five years later, while on a mission, she accidentally shattered the Pym Particles that had been stolen by the mission target.

After the Pym Particle explosion, she lost consciousness. When she awoke, she had become Sharon Carter in 2008.

Sharon Carter doesn't know if she's been reborn or if she's gained future memories due to quantum entanglement.

But one thing is certain: if I could go back to the past, there is one thing I must do, and that is to prevent the person who might become extremely powerful in the future from turning evil.

mark.

A highly intelligent villain who became the shadow government's controller before he was even 20 years old—that person turned them, the agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., into pariahs.

He manipulated power and controlled the government behind the scenes, and by the time S.H.I.E.L.D. discovered it, it was too late.

Four years later, he had already controlled more than 60% of the political power in the United States and had even extended his reach to other countries.

Just as S.H.I.E.L.D. began to react, it was revealed that Hydra was present within S.H.I.E.L.D., and that there were many of them, so much so that the two were already intertwined and indistinguishable.

These legitimate S.H.I.E.L.D. agents didn't even have time to react before they were on the wanted lists of various countries. The S.H.I.E.L.D. agents who silently protected the safety of all mankind became, in the blink of an eye, rats wanted by the World Alliance.

Later, these remaining legitimate S.H.I.E.L.D. agents began investigating Mark, trying to find a way to defeat him and prove their innocence.

But it was too late. By then, Mark had already gained absolute power, and even if they found evidence of Mark's crimes, it would be of no use.

And it all started with this damned island.

If that idiot hadn't brought a bunch of bad kids to the island, Mark wouldn't have gotten his hands on that dirty secret, and he wouldn't have been exposed to the dark side of high society at such a young age.

After gaining the memories of the future, she immediately used the connections left by her aunt and applied for armed support.

But when she rushed to Little Sheng James Island, Mark had already left, which meant that he still got the dirt on politicians and tycoons that Ebottan had collected over the years.

For S.H.I.E.L.D., for free will, Sharon Carter, a Union Jack native, sat in her Quinjet, lost in thought.

According to the intelligence she gathered in the future, Mark should now be hiding deep inside Hell's Kitchen with that bad seed.

The depths of Hell's Kitchen were practically anarchic, a place teeming with all sorts of people and lacking even a police station to maintain order. Growing up in such an environment, it's no wonder that Mark would become an evil and ambitious man in the future.

"We need to get that Mark out of Hell's Kitchen as soon as possible." Sharon Carter pinched the bridge of her nose wearily.

Mark experienced all the typical descent into darkness that a normal person would go through at a very young age.

His father sacrificed himself for the country, his mother lost her life for the cause of justice, and he himself was sold to a pedophile.

If he hadn't been lucky enough to meet Mindy, his life would have been even worse. Plus, with Emma being a born bad guy among his friends, it would be a miracle if he hadn't turned evil.

Sharon Carter didn't intend to nip Mark in the bud, for a simple reason: Mark's methods were no different from those of politicians.

While some might say he manipulated the government behind the scenes, he undeniably made America thrive, even reducing the number of homeless people. The last person to contribute so much to the American government was Emperor Wu of the United States.

The only thing they did that could be considered a bad thing was turning S.H.I.E.L.D. into Snake Shield, but the problem is that S.H.I.E.L.D. wasn't clean to begin with.

There are indeed many Hydra agents lurking within S.H.I.E.L.D., and their infiltration is extremely deep. After all, S.H.I.E.L.D. is the shield of humanity, jointly established by the World Alliance. If S.H.I.E.L.D. wasn't beyond saving, how could it be so easily crushed?

Therefore, Sharon Carter had only one goal: to bring Mark back to the right path, to let him use his talents for good, and to make America great again.

Just as Sharon Carter was lost in thought, a static noise suddenly came through her earpiece.

"This is Nick Fury, Carter. I'd like to know why you suddenly called in the armed squad?" Nick Fury's deep voice came through the headset.

"I was about to catch a damn old scoundrel, but he reacted too quickly, and I failed," Sharon Carter replied.

She didn't trust Nick Fury. With so many Hydra agents lurking within S.H.I.E.L.D., Nick Fury, as the director of S.H.I.E.L.D., was absolutely responsible.

She even suspected that this guy might be one of Hydra's spies planted within S.H.I.E.L.D.

Therefore, she cannot expose Mark's existence. If Mark were to fall into Hydra's hands, she dared not imagine how terrible the future world would become.

After a moment of silence, Nick Fury said, "That's against the rules. Remember to file a report when you get back. Also, the forces behind Apostol are very complex; that's not something S.H.I.E.L.D. should be dealing with."

Out of respect for Peggy Carter, Nick Fury did not hold Sharon Carter accountable, but he did give her a warning.

Ebotan poses no threat to the safety of all humanity or the security of any nation, so S.H.I.E.L.D. has no intention of interfering, nor is it appropriate for them to.

After hanging up the call, Sharon Carter gave a cold smile.

Nick Fury's reaction was within her expectations; she knew Nick Fury was a very suspicious and cold-hearted person.

If faced with a train dilemma where killing one person could save ten, Nick Fury would definitely do it, without hesitation.

That's why she didn't dare tell Nick Fury about Mark, because if Nick Fury found out, he would definitely kill Mark or forcibly imprison him without hesitation.

Even if Nick Fury wasn't Hydra, she couldn't possibly tell him about Mark.

Led by Mindy, the group arrived at an abandoned factory.

The factory had been abandoned for a long time. Mark looked thoughtfully at the rusty signboard—Rand Chemical Plant.

"Rand Chemicals? Could it be the Rand I'm thinking of?" Mark thought to himself, his imagination running wild.

Mark shook his head, muttering to himself, "Oh well, it's probably just a case of the same name."

Mindy urged from ahead, "Hurry up and keep up. The situation in this abandoned factory is quite complicated. It's easy to get lost if you don't keep up."

The chemical plant was quite large and its interior was indeed very complex. Even with Mindy leading the way, it took them a long time to finally enter the "secret base" deep inside the plant.
