Special effects: Starting with Ultraman Tiga

Lina, piloting the Saber Athena, approached the Ebloon monster.

However, this monster, Ebloon, which only possessed biological instincts, did not launch an attack on Saber Athena.

"Team Leader Lina, throw a full-force punch at this Ebloon monster to test the power of this mech," Shen Yun ordered.

"Understood!" Lina raised her arm, and Saber Athena raised her arm at the same time, punching the body of the Ebloon monster.

This punch actually dented the body of the soft, mud-like Ebloon monster, and even sent its massive body backward a short distance.

Watching this scene, Shen Yun seemed to be deep in thought.

It seems that this Eberon monster not only has extremely tough skin, but its mud-like body also seems to be able to distribute the force of the blows it receives throughout its body, thereby reducing the damage it suffers.

"The power is even greater than expected, approaching two million horsepower," Shen Yun wrote down the data.

Attacked, the Ebloon monster instinctively retaliated, its tentacles lashing out like whips at Saber Athena.

"Team Leader Lina, just protect the cockpit," Shen Yun added.

"Understood." Lina raised her arms, and Saber Athena raised her arms at the same time to protect the cockpit.

The seven tentacles of the Ebloon monster lashed out like whips at the Saber Athena's body, sending sparks flying.

Shen Yun looked at the mecha's schematic diagram on the control panel; no part of the mecha had been damaged.

"Its defense is extremely excellent; attacks from ordinary monsters cannot even cause it any damage," Shen Yun wrote down another line of data.

Inside the cockpit, Lina covered her head with her arms. A holographic image of the tentacles of the Ebloon monster appeared beside her and kept whipping her body.

Lina, whose neurons were connected to the mecha, also personally experienced the pain of being whipped.

"Team member Lina, how is the pain? Will it affect your combat? Should we lower the pain level?" Shen Yun asked several more questions in succession.

Even though the pilot will feel pain when the mech is attacked after the neurons are connected to the mech.

However, this pain can be adjusted; the pain is intended to allow the pilot to react faster in combat, not to weaken the pilot's abilities.

"It hurts a little, but it's still within my tolerance range and doesn't need any adjustments," Lina said firmly.

"Understood. Next is the flexibility test. Lina, please dodge the attacks of the Ebloon monster and demonstrate the mech's flexibility." Shen Yun nodded and gave the instructions.

"Understood!" Lina immediately sprang into action, dodging the attacks of the Ebloon monster.

Saber Athena is light-footed, agile, and extremely fast.

She ran around the Ebloon monster at such speed that even its tentacles could not hit her.

The Ebloon monster seemed to have learned its lesson; knowing that it couldn't hit from one direction, it used its tentacles to attack Saber Athena from different directions.

Seeing the tentacles coming from all directions, Lina remained calm. She piloted the Saber Athena and leaped into the air, landing on a nearby cliff face. Using the recoil, she rose higher again, unfolded her balancing wings, and performed a front flip in the air, easily escaping the encirclement of tentacles.

"Boom!"

The massive mech landed again, causing the ground to tremble slightly.

She paused only briefly before continuing to run, dodging the attacks of the Ebloon monster.

Ground rolls, jumps, and slides—moves that are impossible to perform on large mechs—can all be done with ease by Saber Athena. Her agility is no different from that of an ordinary person.

"Excellent flexibility." Shen Yun wrote down another line of data.

After finishing writing, Shen Yun picked up the microphone again and said, "The ability test is over. Team member Lina, please feel free to proceed."

"Understood!" Lina stopped immediately upon hearing this.

She stopped in her tracks, and a tentacle lashed out at Lina.

Lina raised her hand and grabbed, while Athena with her saber simultaneously reached out and grabbed the tentacle that the monster Ebloon was attacking.

Lina grabbed the tentacle with both hands, swung the Ebloon monster, and flung it toward the cliff on the island.

"Boom!"

The body of the Ebloon monster crashed into the cliff face, causing that section of the cliff to collapse. In an instant, dust filled the air, obscuring the figure of the Ebloon monster.

Lina did not rush forward immediately, but instead looked ahead warily.

She has also encountered this situation in driving simulators. When the view is obstructed, rushing in is likely to result in a loss.

The best option is to remain unchanged in the face of all changes.

Suddenly, the descending dust was stirred up, and several tentacles burst out from the flying dust, sweeping towards Lina.

Seeing this, Lina reacted immediately, but the event happened so suddenly that although she knocked off several tentacles at the first moment, one tentacle still wrapped around Saber Athena's wrist.

Meanwhile, a holographic image of tentacles wrapped around Lina's left wrist appeared.

The moment the tentacles wrapped around Saber Athena, the Ebloon monster began releasing high-voltage electricity.

Green electricity surged continuously along the tentacles towards Saber Athena.

The electric current from the Ebloon monster did not have a significant impact on Saber Athena's mech.

The only one affected was Lina, whose neurons were connected to the mech.

The feeling of having a high-voltage current pass through your whole body is not pleasant.

The tingling sensation from the high-voltage current caused Lina to kneel down involuntarily.

With no further obstruction, the other tentacles of the Ebloon monster also began to wrap around Lina.

Seeing this, both Sawai and Yoshioka, who were on-site, and the members of the GUTS team watching the live broadcast from their base, couldn't help but feel tense.

If you get entangled by so many tentacles, it will be very difficult to break free.

Lina also saw the tentacles rushing towards her. She endured the tingling sensation of the electric current running through her body, grabbed the tentacle wrapped around her left hand with her right hand, and then pulled hard with both hands at the same time.

"Bang!"

Lina ripped off the tentacles of the Ebloon monster, sending them flying into a burst of brilliant sparks.

The monster's tentacles were torn off, and the tingling sensation from the high-voltage current disappeared.

Lina didn't even have time to catch her breath before facing the other tentacles attacking her. She didn't even have time to stand up and dodge.

So she pushed off the ground with her right foot, rolled forward to dodge the attacking tentacles, quickly stood up, and strode toward the Ebloon monster trapped under the rubble.

The tentacles, having missed their target, immediately returned to provide support.

But, it's too late.

Lina approached the Ebloon monster and, as if kicking a soccer ball, kicked it directly into its body.

The spot where the Ebloon monster was kicked instantly caved in deeply.

The next moment, the Ebloon monster was kicked away by Lina and flew backward, crashing into the dense forest of the island and creating a very deep ravine.

The Ebloon monster became somewhat listless.

That last blow must have seriously injured it.

Although it is soft and can disperse the force hitting it, there is a limit to this ability to disperse force.

At this moment, cracks appeared on its scales, revealing bright red flesh inside, and drops of blood flowed from the wounds.

Lina approached the monster Ebloon, raised her hands, and slammed a heavy punch into Ebloon's cracked wounds.

"Pfft!"

Blood gushed from the wound, staining the bright orange paint of the Athena Saber red.

Struck again, all of the Ebloon monster's tentacles simultaneously wrapped around Saber Athena.

Lina did not dodge, but allowed the tentacles of the Ebloon monster to wrap around her body.

The current traveled from the tentacles to the body of Saber Athena, and Lina once again felt the sensation of electricity flowing through her entire body.

She just kept punching the Ebloon monster in the wound.

The current increases gradually at the beginning, then begins to decrease, and finally disappears completely.

Lina looked at the now motionless Ebloon monster and slowly stopped, her fist completely stained with blood.

She stood up, ripped off the tentacles wrapped around the Saber Athena mecha one by one, threw them on the ground, and asked:

"Doctor, how did I do?"

"Well done, your performance in the actual combat test was perfect," Shen Yun praised.

Lina breathed a sigh of relief, and a smile involuntarily rose on her pretty face.

"Test complete, Lina, you can return to base now."

"Understood!" Lina replied, looking up at the transport plane hovering in mid-air.

Four transport planes dropped their ropes again, and General Athena hoisted up, beginning the return journey with the massive mech in tow.
