Under the constant pressure of the green poop craze, two guys with relatively weak mental fortitude broke down.

They turned and ran back to the warehouse behind them, back to the safe place they remembered. But the two deserters seemed to have forgotten that the danger to them was not only the horde of zombies.

Xiao Yi raised his hand and summoned a bolt of lightning as thick as an infant's arm, which pierced the hearts of the two men. Their actions had seriously affected the morale of the entire team, and if no strong measures were taken, it could very likely lead to a large-scale collapse.

"Cowardly acts will not be tolerated; this is the fate of deserters."

As it turned out, this tactic was indeed effective. Several guys who were planning to escape together silently retreated after seeing the coward being trampled underfoot by the walkers on the ground.

For safety's sake, Xiao Yi decided to snipe the guy from a distance. He raised the first laser gun he had made, aimed it at the guy's face, and began charging it.

The overflowing energy transformed into green arcs of electricity that danced around the Gun God. Xiao Yi lightly pulled the trigger, and a beam of light dozens of times thicker than a normal beam blasted the face of the Plague Zombie in the blink of an eye.

Large amounts of greenish-brown pus splattered, staining everything around them the same color. Unlike the pus flowing from ordinary zombies, this pus was corrosive.

The concrete structures on the ground are all chipped away, not to mention the damage to humans.

The headless body seemed momentarily unaware of what was happening, until six seconds later when it began to inflate like a balloon.

When the body's flesh and tissue could no longer withstand the immense internal pressure, with a bang, the giant zombie blew itself into pieces.

"It really was a suicide bomb!"

Fortunately, the explosion was far from Xiao Yi and his group, and none of them were affected.

After slaying the last plague zombie blocking his way, Xiao Yi turned to look at the warehouse in the distance, a smile appearing on his face.

"Redmond, lead the way. We need to find a safe place to rest."

Just as he turned to leave, a group of soldiers stepped forward and walked towards the horde of zombies.

Xiao Yi vaguely remembered some of them; they were soldiers who had been infected by the zombies before.

Seeing the puzzled looks on his companions' faces, one of the warriors, named Mike, said in a calm voice, "Rather than dying as half-dead monsters at the hands of our own comrades, we'd rather end our lives here. Sirs, you can go first; leave this place to us."

Looking at the chromium fuel canisters on their bodies, Xiao Yi could roughly guess what the other party wanted to do. This was probably the best outcome for the infected.

"May your souls return to the golden throne."

With Xiao Yi's blessing, more than twenty infected individuals ignited the chromium fuel canisters on their bodies and launched a final charge against the horde of zombies.

"For the Emperor!"

With a series of deafening explosions, another wall of fire ignited behind the column, buying time for the others to evacuate.

Led by Redmond, the group rushed to a factory that produced corpse starch. There was a large food supply there, enough to keep them from starving for the next few days.

After briefly arranging everyone's next tasks, Xiao Yi led his men to the room on the second floor of the starch factory where the control console was located. He wanted to hack into the control console through B-59's system to gain a clear understanding of the entire corpse starch factory.

But when he stepped over the last step and reached the second floor, a strange-looking guy was already "standing" there.

It was a middle-aged man fixed to a metal platform. His limbs had disappeared, and his hunched body resembled a piece of swelled, rotten wood, emitting a pungent odor mixed with the smell of corpses, mold, and industrial lubricants.

The sunken chest cavity was violently ripped open, the ribs were sawed off and bent outwards to form supports, and most of the exposed internal organs were removed, replaced by bundles of wriggling nerve conduits and brass-colored hydraulic lines.
