The Last Sentinel
Chapter 300 The War of Heaven, Nine Great Apostles
When talking about Star God Fragments, we must mention Star God.
Speaking of the Celestials, one cannot help but mention the three archenemies of the Warhammer Universe's Heaven's War last season: the Celestials, the Elder Titans, and the Necromancers.
In short, the Warhammer universe is divided into two parts: the current Emperors, the Greenskins, and the four Warp Gods constitute the second half of Warhammer's history.
In the first half of the history, the Star Gods, Ancient Saints, and Space Necromancers were the beta testers.
Among them, the Ancient Saint is the dominant figure, relying on the dual cultivation of spiritual energy and physical technology to bring both skills to their peak, making him a near-invincible and immortal being.
Besides being powerful themselves, the Ancient Ones were also skilled in genetic engineering to create minions and build network engineering to strengthen their rule. They created a large number of excellent minion races, such as the Eldar, Orcs, and Zerg, all of which were the masterpieces of the Ancient Ones. Even after the Ancient Ones were gone, these minion civilizations continued to thrive, branching out and becoming more and more powerful.
Compared to the invincible ancient saints, the Star Gods have a tragic origin, belonging to the category of mountain spirits and wild monsters. They are pure energy beings that existed since the beginning of the universe, feeding on stars and embodying the laws of physics. They are mindless eating machines that eat when they are hungry and get hungry again when they eat.
The status of the Necromancers in space is even more tragic. Their predecessors were the Fearless Ones. Firstly, the Fearless Ones were not created by the Ancient Ones and were considered aliens and heretics under the rule of the Ancient Ones. Secondly, their aptitude, lifespan, and power could not compare with those of the Ancient Ones. In the galaxy, they were not even as prestigious as the minor civilizations cultivated by the Ancient Ones.
At first, the Death-Fearers worshipped and even superstitiously believed in the Ancient Saints. They offered sacrifices to the Ancient Saints, hoping that they would be given technology and immortality. However, the arrogance and ruthlessness of the Ancient Saints quickly made the Death-Fearers realize the situation. Under the pressure of rejection and contempt, the Death-Fearers decided to declare war on the Ancient Saints! The first phase of the War of Heaven began!
In the first phase of the war, the Old Ones were nearly invincible. With their high-speed network, supportive civilizations, and advanced technology and psionic abilities, the Fearless were thoroughly defeated and almost wiped out by the Old Ones.
Fortunately, there is always a way out. The Fearful One encountered the Star God, and the two reached a deal.
The Star God taught the Fearful Ones techniques to help them defeat the Ancients, and even promised them eternal life.
Those who fear death want to create a living metal body for the Star God, so that this pure spiritual energy can have its own physical form and truly appear.
King Silent Szalak, leader of the Fearless, signed a contract to lead his entire race from the Fearless to the undead of space.
The War of Heaven enters its second and peak phase: Star Gods + Necromancers vs. Ancient Saints!
As the embodiment of physical laws, the Star God is the essence of the universe, equivalent to the origin of the universe!
In the end, the ancient sages were nothing more than users of the origin, and all civilizations are built on the foundation of the origin!
The Star God directly distorted the laws of physics, destroyed the physical technology empire that the ancient saints relied on, destroyed the network path, and collapsed its civilization.
The Necromancers of space beat the Ancient Ones' minions so badly they were unable to take care of themselves.
The ancient saints suffered a crushing defeat, with a small number escaping the Milky Way and disappearing without a trace.
The War of Heaven enters its third phase: a falling out!
Without the threat of the ancient saints, the Star Gods completely let loose. This primordial being of the universe, who only knew how to eat when hungry and be hungry again after eating, began to devour the souls of the undead in the cosmos as nourishment. The Silent King endured hardship and built the God-Slaying Cannon, which finally shattered many powerful Star Gods, including the Deceiver, the Weaver of the Night, and the Harvest of Abundance.
But the Star Gods are the fundamental rules of the universe; as long as the universe exists, they will never die.
To prevent the Star God from being resurrected, the Silent King sealed the fragments in the Hypercube Prison. Some of the smaller Star God fragments were made into energy sources, weapons, and even used as machine souls.
The Necromancers of the Space didn't have the last laugh either. The immortality promised by the Star God was a lie. The Star God didn't have the immortality technology of the Ancient Saints. This meant that even though the Necromancers of the Space had already ascended to mechanical form, they would still die of old age. After the Silent King's scheme, the entire race entered a self-sealing state, entering a time-stagnant secret realm, announcing that they would awaken again in 60 million years, rule the Milky Way, and embark on the path to immortality once more.
Thus began a new season in the Warhammer universe, with the Empire rapidly rising to power by stealing Old One technology, aspiring to become the Old One leader in the new season.
Meanwhile, the minions left behind by the Old Ones were not all dead. The Dark Eldar, the Tyranids, and the Orks all rose up and clashed with the Empire.
The mess left behind by the battle between the ancient saints and the star gods, the "Netway," has now transformed into a subspace. The four peddlers emerged from the chaos and established a new force in the chaos!
In an instant, a scene of vibrant life and flourishing life appeared before everyone.
"As you said, the Celestial Fragment in Katachon has awakened. Wouldn't going there now be suicide?"
Gabriel looked at Taylor and firmly refused, "No matter what, we Blood Ravens will not go to our deaths! Nor will we condone sending our Father God on such a risk! The Blood Ravens' principle is to know when to stop. We will not fight such a tough battle, and we will never waste our precious Space Marines for the sake of the Necromancers!"
Taylor didn't negotiate with Gabriel, but instead looked at Ye Feng, "Sir, I admit that challenging a Star God is risky, but at any time the risk and reward are proportional! Katachon's Star God fragment is different from other Star God fragments!"
Ye Feng became interested. "How are they different?"
Taylor said, "According to the records of the Space Necromancers regarding the Star Gods, there are many kinds of Star Gods. Some of the more famous ones include the Deceiver, the Nightsong of Death, and the Harvest of Abundance. These Star Gods are very powerful, but they are not the real threat to the Space Necromancers! The truly powerful Star Gods have already fallen in the War of Heaven, fighting against the top powerhouses of the Ancient Saints. They are far stronger than the likes of the Deceiver; they are the true ceiling of combat power among the Star Gods, and they are called Apostles!"
"There are nine apostles in total. These nine apostles have personally witnessed the will of the galactic embryo. They are the true source of power in this universe, even the embodiment of its rules! They represent the nine fundamental laws of the universe: water, fire, darkness, ice, death, battle, power, soul, and destiny!"
"Ordinary Star Gods can only change the rules, but Apostles can destroy the rules and redefine them!"
"The Apostles are the leaders among the Star Gods!"
"In the war against the Ancient Saints, the Apostles were the first to strike, and they withstood 99% of the Ancient Saints' pressure!"
"And they all perished."
"Let's go back to Tachan. This planet has always been known for its harsh environment and brutal vegetation."
"But few people know that the Star God fragment buried by Katachon is actually an Apostle fragment."
"Or perhaps, a completely new apostle might be born here, an entity that destroyed the ancient saints and the local apostle-level star gods!"
"A fragment of an apostle!"
"Your Highness, the Platinum King, imagine possessing a fragment of the Apostle Star God. Whether you comprehend and absorb it, or use it to forge a Hero-level artifact, it would be enough to greatly enhance your combat power!"
"And I will do everything in my power to help you win this battle against the Apostle Star God!"
"Such an opportunity is rare!"
Gabriel said, "According to you, wouldn't this Apostle Star God be even more dangerous? Father, let's retreat. There's no need to listen to this madwoman!"
"Shut up!" Taylor completely lost his temper, grabbing Gabriel by the arm. "I'm talking to the Primarch. You're just an ordinary mortal; don't interfere in the conversation between the Necromancer and the Primarch. And besides, I'm male!"
Gabriel whirled around, his power armor helmet covering his face, and the anti-vectoring engine on his right arm activated. A simple, unadorned rocket punch landed directly on Taylor, sending him flying like a cannonball!
"Wife!" Ouyang cried out as she chased after him, "What are you doing! Gabriel isn't a saint, you're asking for trouble if you touch him!"
Seeing the chaotic scene before him, Gabriel said loyally, "Father, let's go back. We don't need to pay attention to this crazy woman."
Ye Feng waved his hand. "Gabriel, my child, you are good, but Father God has his own plans."
Upon hearing this, Gabriel lowered his head. "Since the Father has made this choice, as his son, I cannot object; I can only follow..."
"Go back, Blood Raven can't lose you," Ye Feng said. "I, Ouyang, and Taylor will go there."
That's fine.
Ye Feng's figure vanished, taking Taylor and Ouyang with him.
Gabriel gazed at the empty valley, filled with reluctance and sorrow. "May our Father God be invincible, slay the apostles, and seize the divine artifacts!"
