The Last Sentinel

Chapter 302 Khorne the Great Demon Skabrand

"The Emperor's Grey Angel has appeared in Katachon!"

"That self-important Stern even lowered himself to team up with Slymabo, a primitive man he had always looked down upon."

"It seems the Platinum King is putting a lot of pressure on those charlatans in the Inquisition! Otherwise, the Grey Knights wouldn't have joined forces with others."

Forgrim's voice echoed deep within the warp canyons. The Slaanesh's unique enhancement gave his voice a languid and alluring quality, which was Magnus's favorite voice.

Soon, Magnus's figure appeared from the depths of the warp canyon. "You may look down on Stern's combat strength, but don't underestimate the wisdom of this psionic practitioner. The fact that he was able to become the acting chapter commander of the Grey Knights and lead them to power shows that he is a very troublesome guy."

Upon seeing Magnus, Fugrim raised his hand and picked up two glasses of crimson liquor. "What I don't understand now is, what treasures does this planet Katachon hold that would make the Platinum King, the Grey Knight, and Slymabo gather here?"

Magnus raised his hand, accepted the crimson wine, and sneered, "Have you heard of the Apostles?"

Fogrem shook his head and said, "You know, I have no interest in history or knowledge."

"Foolish," Magnus said coldly. "The Apostles are the most powerful beings among the Star Gods. In the War of Heaven, it was ostensibly the Space Necromancers and the Star Gods who joined forces to defeat the Ancient Saints. In reality, it was the Apostles. The arrival of the nine Apostles completely suppressed the Ancient Saints and blocked more than 90% of their attacks. This allowed the other Star Gods, the Deceivers and the Reapers, to paralyze the Web, ultimately leading to the destruction of the Ancient Saints."

"And the nine apostles perished completely after this battle."

"The Necromancers and other Star Gods shamelessly sealed off the history related to the Apostles, making all living beings believe that they were the victors who defeated the Ancient Saints."

"In fact, the apostles have always existed, and will always exist."

Upon hearing this, a look of joy appeared on Forgrim's face. "Katachan, that ghostly place... could it be that there are fragments of the Apostles there?"

Magnus sipped his red wine. "The Apostles' information is strictly controlled by the Necromancers and the Star Gods. In the end, the Silent King bombarded the Star Gods, causing their mass extinction. Only the Necromancers in this universe control the secrets of the Apostles."

"The fact that a space necromancer appeared out of nowhere in Katachon instead of staying in its grave can only mean that the Apostle is in Katachon."

"Then," Forgrim asked, "which of the nine apostles was the one that Katachon buried?"

Magnus's slender fingers gently tapped the surface. "The Nine Apostles represent nine fundamental laws of the universe: water, fire, darkness, ice, death, combat, power, and soul!"

"To determine which apostle Katachon buried, one only needs to look at the characteristics of Katachon being influenced by the apostle."

"On the planet of Katachon, where everyone is a battle maniac and even the plants and animals are insane, fighting becomes the only purpose."

"Therefore, it's easy to determine that the Apostle-level Star God buried by Katachon should be the War Apostle, one of the nine Apostles, possessing invincible combat power!"

Fogrem nodded and said, "This also explains why, out of so many planets in the Milky Way, only Katachon is so vibrant and constantly in battle."

Magnus didn't speak, but simply sipped his drink, watching the distorted red and blue ripples of spacetime around him. With each step he took, the ground was left with layers of water ripples.

"My dear brother," Forgrim looked at Magnus, "the legacy of the War Apostles is not to be underestimated. Are we really going to hand over this treasure to the Platinum King and the Empire?"

Magnus rolled his eyes, gave a cold smile, and said, "So, you want to join the war?"

"No!" Forgrim laughed. "How could I possibly join the war? I am a follower of Slaanesh, and you are a follower of Tzeentch. Guys like us are destined to be weak. We need a helper, someone with insane fighting power and enough stupidity to stand up for us and help us defeat the Platinum God and Slymar Bostern!"

Magnus said, "A guy like that isn't easy to find."

Fugrim blinked. "Someone like that is hard to find, but you can't, Great God of a Thousand Sons!"

Magnus's eyes turned icy, as if some unpleasant memory had been brought up. He suddenly swung his hand and struck at Forgrim with a palm strike!

Fulgrim had anticipated this; with a swift movement, he gracefully dodged Magnus's attack, laughing as he said, "Scarbrand, the most favored Archdark of Khorne, without a doubt! Khorne's affection for him even surpasses the Emperor's love for Horus!"

"But this great demon has gone completely mad; he even arrogantly swung his double axes at Khorne, the god who created him!"

"Such a rebellious act, according to reason, should be permanently stripped of divine power and banished forever."

"But Khorne loved Skabrand so much that he simply cut off two of his four arms and then banished him."

"And I have already found Skabrand, now all I need is for you to help me get him to Katachon."

"Tsk tsk, with the Imperial Grey Knights, the Imperial Blood Ravens Chapter, Stern, the Platinum King, Slymabo, the Space Necromancers, and now the Archdemon Skabrand of Khorne... tsk tsk, I can't even imagine how exciting this show will be!"

Magnus said, "Indeed, it will be very exciting, but it will also add endless variables. The treasure of the War Apostle will be difficult to obtain in the end. You must understand that Skabrand is not under our control. In fact, even the God of Khorne himself cannot control this madman, Skabrand."

"As long as the Platinum King and the Empire fail to obtain the Apostle's treasure, then our mission is complete! After all, the Necromancers of the Space are dying out, and Slymabo is nothing but a brute; these two sides can't amount to much, and there's no question of them threatening the Warp!" Forgrim said lazily.

"Alright, as you say, give me Skabrand's coordinates! I'll take him to Katachon."

"I've given you the coordinates."

"The Great Demon will soon appear in Qatar."

As Forgrim and Magnus gradually disappeared, on a blood-red planetary battlefield, a crazed warrior wielded a battle axe, slaughtering madly.

Through the thick, blood-red mist, it could be vaguely seen that it was nearly ten meters tall, its entire body was as red as blood, its muscles were clearly defined and bulging, its skin was taut and shiny, and its blood vessels bulged out like lava veins, radiating a red glow of subspace evil energy.

It has a head that is a fusion of a goat and a vicious dog, and its huge bull horns are broken off. This is the punishment for its swinging of the battle axe at the throne of Khorne, and also its most insane medal.

Deep red flames burned in his eyes, and the tattered troll wings on his back could make him move as fast as lightning with a slight unfolding.

What's most captivating are his weapons: two battle axes, "Slaughter" and "Carnage." The axes are dark metallic in color, engraved with Khorne runes and skull reliefs, with incredibly sharp blades. The handles are wrapped with iron chains and spikes, sealing the souls of slain demons.

It slowly raised its head, looking at an empty area, and roared in a low, hoarse voice, "It is you, Magnus, the God of a Thousand Sons..."

Magnus's figure contorted. "It's been a long time, Skabrand."

It growled, striking a pose, "Do you want to fight me? I'd love to!"

"No interest," Magnus said. "I've come to take you to an interesting place, a place filled with the aura of the strong and battle."

It cackled, "Prince Treachery, infamous for deception and fraud, are you lying to me?"

Magnus chuckled, "Slymabo, Sent, the Space Necromancer, and the newly born twenty-first Primarch, Platinum King, have all appeared on Katachon. Would you like to give it a try?"

It turned and swung its axe with tremendous force, carving out a massive rift in the warp. It strode into the rift, declaring, "If you're lying to me, I'll chop you to pieces!"

Skabrand stepped into the warp rift and vanished without a trace.

Magnus watched Khorne leave before finally letting out a long sigh of relief.
