Chapter 54 The Kill Line, A Born Killer
Aiden looked at Mr. Ironbeard's lab table.
There, Mr. Ironbeard was intently mixing some kind of medicine, shaking the test tube in his hand constantly, the liquids inside mixing together and making a "sizzling" sound.
However, in order not to alert the enemy, Aiden quickly turned around and hurried away.
"It seems Mr. Ironbeard's experiment is going quite smoothly, so I'll just have to let him cause me some trouble," Aiden said calmly as he walked, a thoughtful expression on his face.
……
It was late at night, and the streets were completely silent.
Marg, with her full head of red hair, had just returned from the tavern, reeking of alcohol and walking unsteadily.
Her originally fair face turned bright red due to the alcohol, and her lips were swollen.
As a witch of noble birth, her training was not particularly rigorous.
Through a friend's introduction, she joined Mr. Tetsuya's laboratory as an assistant.
For her, conquering a high-ranking wizard apprentice like Mr. Ironbeard was far more interesting than practicing.
"Mr. Ironbeard is a blockhead, what a dullard," Mag said, slightly drunk, letting out a burp that made the surrounding air smell foul.
"But anyway, he's much more interesting than those Mudblood commoner wizards. What was his name again, Aiden? When I asked him to deliver experimental organisms for me, he actually tried to talk back. Is this the confidence that knowledge brings him?" Marg shook her head, staggering back to her garden, half-kicking her shoes.
She took her keys out of her pocket, intending to open the door.
In a corner of the garden, Aiden lay in wait, his body pressed tightly against the ground, his bow and arrow gripped tightly in his hand.
He looked at Mag's swaying figure, a cold smile appearing on his lips, and slowly raised his bow and arrow, aiming at her back.
"That witch has a really sharp tongue," Aiden said softly, shaking his head. He then released his grip without hesitation.
The arrow, like a black lightning bolt, shot directly into Mag's heart with lightning speed.
With a "thud," the arrow pierced Mag's heart, instantly staining half of her body with blood, which gushed out like a fountain, splashing onto the surrounding flowers and plants.
Marg's body swayed, then fell straight down with a dull thud.
"I couldn't resist and did it again. I feel like I've turned into a born killer!" Aiden touched his cold face and shrugged.
He looked at Mag's corpse with no pity on his face, but rather with an expression of excitement.
Aiden discovered that he was becoming somewhat addicted to this kind of thing!
Soon, Aiden did the same thing. He carried Mag's body to a secluded corner of the garden and began digging a hole.
He swung the shovel forcefully with both hands, constantly turning up the soil.
In no time, he had dug a large pit. He threw Mag's body into the pit, then quickly filled it back in with soil, stomping on it a few times to make sure the body was buried completely.
And less than 10 magic stones were found on her.
"What a penniless wretch, not even 10 magic stones. He's clearly at the death row. He really needs to keep himself clean." Aiden looked at the magic stones in his hand, curled his lip, and said with a look of disgust.
Aiden simply slipped away.
……
Back home, Aiden sat in a chair, panting heavily.
He repeatedly reminded himself, "This is the last time. If it happens again, I might get caught."
"As for the smell in Mr. Ironbeard's laboratory, it must be related to the potions he makes," Aiden said thoughtfully, resting his chin on his hand.
"Daddy, I can sneak in." Xiaodie's excited voice echoed in my mind.
Meanwhile, she was happily flapping her wings on Aiden's shoulder, her little wings making a whooshing sound and creating a gentle breeze.
Aiden frowned slightly, his face showing concern, and asked, "Are you sure? Isn't it safe?"
Right now, he doesn't have a particularly good way to get rid of Mr. Ironbeard.
After all, I was kicked out of his lab in less than a minute during the day.
If he wanted to poison someone or do something else, he would have absolutely no chance; opportunities are few and far between, so he has to seize them.
"Then be careful." Aiden said, gently patting Little Butterfly's antennae, his movements as gentle as if he were stroking a feather.
He didn't know what method Xiaodie was planning to use to get into Mr. Tiexu's laboratory.
The little butterfly's antennae twitched, like two nimble little antennas. Then she excitedly floated to the table and kept flapping her wings. Her wings were covered with many complex symbols that shimmered with a mysterious luster in the dim light.
Aiden leaned closer, his eyes wide, but he still couldn't quite understand.
"Impressive." Aiden's eyes lit up. Based on his knowledge of occultism, he knew these symbols were quite mysterious.
The origin of this little butterfly is probably quite significant; it is most likely the special creature that Ms. Ollie mentioned.
"Then wouldn't I have a chance to take over the continent of Orellaia in the future?" Aiden said earnestly, his face full of longing, as if he could already see the day he would become the master of the continent.
If he were to obtain the spatial key to the continent of Orellania in the future, he would become the master of this continent!
This goal could only be kept in his heart for the time being, and Aiden didn't know if Xiaodie was really that special creature.
Its genetic code and spatial key can only be activated after Aiden goes to the wizarding world and gains sufficient strength!
Soon, the light array in front of Xiaodie, which looked like a magic circle, was fully formed. The light flickered, and the surrounding air seemed to be distorted.
In Aiden's mind, he heard Xiaodie's weak voice: "Daddy, I'm going now."
"You absolutely mustn't get caught. And the pleasant smell you described is probably coming from one of the containers on his lab table. Just carefully steal a little bit, but not too much," Aiden warned repeatedly.
He discovered that Xiaodie was completely like a toddler, acting entirely on instinct and unaware of the dangers lurking behind things. Fortunately, she was very well-behaved and seemed particularly obedient to Aiden.
Aiden didn't know the reason for the milky white thread on the day he caught Xiaodie, but he didn't know what the thread represented.
"Okay, Daddy." Without hesitation, Xiaodie crawled inside, her small body disappearing instantly into the light array, leaving only a slight ripple.
……
Not long after, Xiaodie emerged from the light array.
At the tip of her antenna, she held a drop of liquid the size of a dewdrop, and carefully presented it to Aiden, flapping her wings merrily as she said, "Daddy, this smells and tastes good."
Aiden frowned as he looked at the greenish liquid, then leaned closer to sniff it; it didn't have any particular smell.
"Are you sure this liquid is okay?" Aiden frowned, his face full of worry.
