The Wizard: Starting with Infinite Part-Time Jobs

Chapter 66 The Wizarding Committee, Three Choices

"You're all very lucky to have survived," Sir Richard said calmly, standing on the deck with his arms crossed.

"The wizard ship you were on was intercepted by an unknown force. That force was extremely powerful, and you only survived thanks to the desperate protection of the captains."

The crowd looked at each other, their faces showing fear and confusion, and some even couldn't help but shiver.

Aiden was getting anxious. He clenched his fists, leaned forward slightly, and asked, "Lord Richard, what about the other crew members?"

"Nearly half of them died, about 2000 people. Before the ship was completely destroyed, it still managed to enter the wizarding world. At that time, the ship was listing, seawater kept pouring in, and the crew members were running around in all directions, shouting and cursing all mixed together. We were all wizards who came to the rescue in response to the Wizarding Council's call for help."

Sir Richard glanced at Aiden and explained to him.

"Alright, you've all been lucky to survive. Now, think carefully about your future." Sir Richard shook his head, his brow furrowed, and a look of helplessness on his face.

After answering a few more questions from the others, he waved his hand and said, "Alright, I have limited time. You are all wizarding seeds who have come from various continents to study in the Wizarding World. Right now, the sea area you are in is called the Endless Sea. The Endless Sea basically covers the lower levels of the entire Wizarding World."

"At the same time, we are located in District 147, which has a total of twenty wizarding organizations. The wizarding organization you will be going to study in can only be chosen from these twenty organizations. Among them, there are 19 first-ring organizations and 1 second-ring organization."

As soon as he finished speaking, the dozens of wizard apprentices present looked at each other in bewilderment, and the atmosphere became somewhat oppressive.

Some people were pale and their lips trembled slightly as they said, "It's over. We've actually come to such a remote District 147. There isn't even a third-ring wizard organization, and there's only one second-ring wizard organization."

"Where is my girlfriend Sally?" A male wizard cried out, burying his face in his hands, his body trembling uncontrollably, tears streaming down his cheeks.

Clearly, the people are not satisfied with the current situation.

This scene was clearly seen by Sir Richard, whose lips curled down slightly and his face showed displeasure.

"Young people these days really have no self-control whatsoever." Sir Richard shook his head, his hands behind his back, his tone reproachful. "Except for that Aiden brat."

Thinking of this, Sir Richard nodded slightly.

Aiden remained calm. He knew that he had been given a second chance at life, and that staying alive was the most important thing.

His gaze was focused as he rose and smiled, saying, "Lord Richard, may I know of any wizarding organizations in this region?"

"Okay, sure." He then took out a list from his pocket and handed it to Aiden.

He then stood up, coughed twice, his expression turning serious, and said with a look of disappointment, "You should be grateful you survived, not complaining about not going to your desired wizarding organization!"

"Back when I went to the wizarding world, there were nearly a hundred of us on board, but only 10 portions of food. In the end, people resorted to cannibalism, and only 5 of us survived. The other 4 were kidnapped by dark wizards, and their fate is unknown. I was the only one left, drifting at sea for nearly half a month before I was rescued by sheer luck."

Sir Richard, as if reminiscing about something, closed his eyes slightly and continued, "Through the resolutions and the tireless efforts of the Wizarding Council over the years, you wizarding seeds, who were previously only used as experimental materials, have gained human rights protection and have the opportunity to choose your own wizarding organizations."

"And yet you're still here picking and choosing? That's really disappointing!"

Sir Richard shook his head, his face showing a look of disappointment.

He then ignored the ashamed wizard seeds on the deck, some with their heads down, others scratching their heads, their faces full of regret.

Instead, he walked up to Aiden, a gentle smile on his face, and said, "So? Kid, have you chosen your wizarding organization yet?"

He found Aiden, his fellow countryman, quite agreeable; at least he adjusted quickly and had a good mindset.

Only such people can climb to higher levels.

However, as a first-ring wizard, he was well aware of the gap between himself and these wizarding seeds before him.

And that won't make Aiden any more favored.

You should know that among hundreds of wizarding seeds, it would be a blessing if even one of them became a first-ring wizard.

"Lord Richard, I don't know how to choose." Aiden said with a bitter face and a slight downturn at the corners of his mouth, spreading his hands helplessly. "There are 20 wizarding organizations on this list, only one of which is a second-ring wizarding organization, and the rest are all first-ring wizarding organizations. Moreover, I have never heard of any of them before. At least, I have no recollection of them from the previous enrollment catalog."

The surrounding environment was somewhat noisy, and the other wizard apprentices were also discussing in hushed tones.

"Cultivation depends on the individual. If you ask me, you can choose any path." Sir Richard leaned back in his chair, his body slightly tilted back, his hands clasped behind his head, and said with a smile.

"Lord Richard, which organization do you belong to?" Aiden leaned forward, resting his hands on his knees, and asked curiously.

"I am a rogue cultivator. My organization was swallowed up by another organization in the struggle. I now own my own island, which I use as a training and experimental site." Sir Richard sat up straight and continued, "However, if you insist on my recommendation, I can give you three choices."

Aiden's eyes lit up instantly, and he sat up straight, excitedly saying, "Then I'll have to trouble you, Lord Richard, to clear up my doubts."

He knew that the middle-aged man in front of him was an old monster who had lived for over a thousand years, and that the man also felt a little bit of kinship with him.

His guidance can save me a lot of detours!

"First and foremost is the most powerful wizarding organization in this region, the long-established second-circle wizarding organization—the Throne of Flames." Sir Richard pointed a finger in the air. "This is a wizarding organization that primarily focuses on fire magic. After joining, you can learn fire-based meditation techniques. As everyone knows, fire magic is among the most powerful at the same level."

Sir Richard paused, produced a teacup in his hand, took a small sip, and continued.

"Secondly, there's the most promising wizarding organization—Tide Hut." Sir Richard held up his second finger. "Their leader, Virant, is about to be promoted to a second-circle wizard. At that time, the Tide Hut's status will also rise accordingly. If the organization's contributions are sufficient, it has a chance to be promoted to a second-circle wizarding organization. At the same time, the organization will receive promotion rewards from the Wizarding Council. As a member, you have a high probability of receiving some benefits."

Aiden nodded, a grateful look on his face, and thought earnestly, "This Tide Hut looks pretty good, and the news that the leader is about to be promoted is an information gap. Nobody else knows about it. Sir Richard told me this on his own initiative."

"Then, Sir Richard, what about this third option?" Aiden continued.
