The Wizard: Starting with Infinite Part-Time Jobs
Chapter 93 New Resource Points, Arrow Technique Falling from the Sky
Just as Aiden was preparing to unlock new runes and visualization techniques, a sudden commotion broke out outside the garden.
Then, many wizarding apprentices whom Aiden didn't know well poured out of the classrooms and their residences.
With excitement and eagerness on their faces, they hurried along, each one mounting a magic broom.
A pale blue light shot out from the tail of the magic broom, carrying them away with a "whoosh".
"What's going on? Why are they all rushing out?" Aiden frowned, his face full of confusion.
Aiden strode forward, stopped a wizard apprentice who looked somewhat familiar, and asked him, "Senior brother, what are you doing here?"
"Oh, it's Junior Brother Aiden. This is none of your business. You should hurry up and cultivate." The wizard apprentice said, waving his hands repeatedly to signal Aiden to go back to his cultivation. "Newcomers don't need to go on missions in the first few years. After all, you've only just arrived in the wizarding world, and you probably haven't even learned meditation techniques yet."
"But what kind of mission is this? Why are so many people running out?" Aiden tilted his head and asked curiously, his eyes fixed on the other person.
"Oh, is that so?" the tall, thin wizard apprentice cleared his throat and continued, "A resource point has been discovered in the gray area of the island, shrouded in mist. It is speculated that there are many magic stone mines inside, as well as some undiscovered spellcasting mediums. Everyone wants a piece of the pie."
As he spoke, he gestured excitedly, "If we discover some precious spellcasting mediums, we'll make a fortune. You know, many good things can't be bought with money."
After saying that, the tall wizard pushed off with both feet with his magic broom, and the broom carried him away with a "whoosh".
Aiden stood there for a while, stroked his chin, and muttered to himself, "If we have the resources, we might as well go out and have some fun. Anyway, I've made quite a bit of progress in my strength."
As he spoke, he squeezed the wand that the wizard Lyon had made for him in his pocket. Its ability to withstand the wands of a formal wizard was his greatest source of confidence.
Aiden turned and went back into the room. He walked to a corner and took out his basic magic broom.
He placed a magic stone on it, and as soon as the magic stone was placed there, the magic broom emitted a "buzzing" sound and shot out a bright light from its tail.
Aiden stepped onto the ground and followed the direction in which the others were flying.
……
A few hours later, Aiden followed the main group to an area shrouded in forest.
The trees here are tall and dense, their branches intertwined like a giant net.
Not only that, it was shrouded in a gray haze, with a thin mist everywhere. The mist permeated the air like a light veil, making it impossible to see one's hand in front of one's face.
This area not only had people from their Rune Courtyard, but also many people he didn't recognize at all, who appeared to be from the Silent Blades, the wizarding organization next door.
Unlike the people in Rune Courtyard who seemed relatively kind, the people of Silent Blade all had gloomy faces, furrowed brows, and exuded a murderous aura.
They all looked resentful and were clearly not to be trifled with, like powerful wizards.
Aiden shook his head, muttering, "It seems the two organizations are bound to clash."
Just as Aiden was pondering this, a figure suddenly appeared to his left, riding on a magic broom and blocking his way.
The man appeared very suddenly, and the surrounding mist was stirred up into a small vortex.
"This area belongs to the Silent Blades. Please leave." The seemingly sinister wizard apprentice gripped his wand, which emitted a chilling light in his hand.
He pointed directly at Aiden's head, his face expressionless.
In the wizarding world, it is extremely offensive to point your wand at someone upon first meeting them; in other words, it means they don't respect you at all.
To the Silent Blade, the people of Rune Courtyard were somewhat vulnerable.
Although on the surface, the wizarding apprentices of both sides are not allowed to harm each other, in a place shrouded in gray mist and rich in resources, as long as they are not discovered, many things can be done.
After all, it's impossible for the Wizarding Council's protection laws for wizarding apprentices to be all-encompassing.
"Isn't this area unclaimed? Why should I leave?" Aiden said with a smile, his face full of disdain.
He also pulled out a map, which was covered with various lines and markings. He pointed to the area in front of him and said, "There is no color of Rune Courtyard or Silent Blade on this map. Obviously, the ownership of this area has not yet been determined."
"I say it belongs to the Silent Blades, and it belongs to the Silent Blades. Even if it doesn't now, it will soon," the Silent Blades wizard who blocked the way said with a sneer, his tone arrogance and disdain.
He then added, "You have five seconds to turn around and leave, or I'll get rough with you."
As soon as he finished speaking, a wind blade of wind began to continuously condense above his wand, stirring up the surrounding air and emitting a sharp whistling sound. The leaves around him were also whipped up and flew wildly in the air.
Clearly, the person in front of him was a fairly strong intermediate-level wizard apprentice.
"You people in this organization have no patience; you couldn't resist taking action so quickly." Aiden shook his head, a hint of sarcasm on his face, and smirked.
Then, he silently took out a bow and arrow from behind his back and played with them in his hands, his fingers gently stroking the bow, his movements skillful and natural.
Aiden's action startled the wizard of the Silent Blade, his smile instantly freezing and his brows furrowing.
He then laughed loudly and said, "I can tell you're just a newly promoted wizard apprentice. Judging from your mental energy fluctuations, I didn't expect you to not run away but instead play with your bow and arrow here. What? Are you going to use your bow and arrow to fight my witchcraft?"
He laughed so hard he was doubled over, his body trembling with the laughter.
Aiden shook his head, a confident smile playing on his lips, and said with a smile, "I don't need to deal with your witchcraft, because you're not worthy."
After saying that, Aiden swiftly pulled an arrow from his pocket, his arm began to tremble, his muscles tensed, and his veins bulged as he began to circulate his Eagle Soaring Wings Technique.
A buzzing sound, like that of flies, emanated continuously.
Then, Aiden fired an arrow directly into the sky. The arrow streaked across the sky like lightning, accompanied by a sharp whistling sound.
He then looked at the wizard apprentice with a mocking smile, as if he were looking at a dead man.
"Fancy and overly complicated."
"Five seconds are up. Whatever you have to say, say it in your next life," the wizard apprentice said fiercely, his facial muscles contorted, making him look extremely ferocious.
Just as he was about to control his mental power and swung his wind blade toward Aiden's neck.
He suddenly became very agitated.
It felt like something irresistible was coming from above.
He subconsciously looked up at the sky and saw an arrow falling from the sky at an extremely fast speed, as if it were about to tear the air apart!
