Shuangling: Braving the Rapids

"Shuangling" is a realistic novel spanning from 1996 to 2016. Set against the backdrop of urban and rural life during a period of rapid economic development, it tells the story of the struggles of two young men from mountainous areas, Qin Yuechuan and Lao Chengdong. Through the ups and downs of ordinary people's fates, the novel reflects the changes of the times and, through the disappearance of Qinjiazhuang and Laojiapo, awakens people's attention to and reflection on traditional natural villages.
