One-Punch Man: Boros, the Universe Overlord

Chapter 59: Tie up that small fry! Fight your way out.

"Professor Boros, you're back? And who is he?"

Hearing the commotion outside, Genos came out of the kitchen, his gaze immediately drawn to the figure Boros was carrying, and his optical lens zoomed in.

Boros stepped into the living room, casually tossing the unconscious wolf onto the sofa and saying nonchalantly:

"Ah, he's the hungry wolf we mentioned before."

"Huh?" Genos exclaimed in surprise.

"Teacher, you went out just to find him? But... didn't Master Bang forbid us from getting involved?... "

At this moment, King, who was playing games, also complained:

"Hey, Boros, don't just bring dangerous people into my house! This is my home!"

"Sigh, I'm having a headache too," Boros said, frowning, half-jokingly.

"Killing him is no good, letting him go is also no good, what should we do? Genos, do you think we can try to change him with love?"

Upon hearing this, Genos's previously serious face remained expressionless; instead, his eyes sharpened, and he said coldly:

"Teacher, I think we should just kill him. Bang-sensei won't know anyway."

"Huh? (⊙o⊙) Are you kidding me?" Boros stared in disbelief.

"Yes, teacher, because you were the one who joked first!" Genos replied seriously.

Boros: "…………"

He pointed at Genos, speechless for a long time, and finally could only shout with a heartbroken expression:

"Genos, have you been spending too much time with that bald guy lately?! He's corrupting you!!!"

………………

"Where am I? My head hurts so much..."

The hungry wolf shook his dazed head with difficulty, his consciousness seemingly torn apart and forcibly pieced back together, slowly waking up accompanied by a sharp, stinging pain.

He struggled to open his eyes, and the first thing he saw was a chandelier overhead emitting a hazy white light. The light was a bit dazzling, causing him to squint instinctively.

His vision gradually focused, and the surrounding environment began to come into focus. It was a spacious living room, with a faint smell of dust in the air. Then, his gaze swept over the several figures standing in the room, his pupils suddenly contracted, and memories flooded back like a tide.

"Damn it, in the previous battle... was I captured?"

The hungry wolf was startled and quickly assessed the situation before him, his expression becoming extremely grave:

"An S-rank King, an S-rank cyborg, and that Azure Heaven Fist from last night... This lineup is truly luxurious. Are they all here? Was this arranged specifically to prevent my escape?"

"woke up?"

Boros was leaning back on the sofa when he sensed the movement beside him. He merely lifted his eyelids and casually asked a question.

"I'm sorry for causing so much trouble. I was wrong. Can I go back now?"

The hungry wolf leaned against the wall and slowly straightened up, his head bowed, his voice hoarse and filled with a "sincere" remorse, as if he really was just a young man who had made a mistake and wanted to go home.

"Heh," Boros chuckled softly, and said:

"There's no sincerity involved. Stop making a fuss and just stay here quietly for a few days. I need to think carefully about how to explain this to the old man."

"Damn it, they definitely won't let me go so easily!" the hungry wolf cursed inwardly, his eyes quickly scanning the room.

"What should we do? This room is full of S-class heroes, and King and Boros are even more unfathomable. There's no way we can break through in a short time... The only weakness is..."

"It's right...yes!...it's on that bald bastard who's yawning. If we can take him hostage, there might still be a chance to negotiate."

Having made up his mind, the expression on Hungry Wolf's face instantly switched to one of perfect naturalness. He raised his head, revealing a submissive and resigned look, and replied:

"Okay, I'll stay here quietly for a few days. But... may I have a glass of water?"

"Whatever you like, the water dispenser is over there."

Boros waved his hand, not even glancing at him.

"These people are completely relaxed, showing no sense of crisis whatsoever. Is it absolute confidence in their abilities? Or do they simply not take me seriously at all?"

As Hungry Wolf pretended to walk towards the water dispenser, his steps dragging as if he were truly just a thirsty prisoner, he secretly clenched his fingers tightly in his sleeve, observing the positions of the others.

"This is truly a stroke of luck! This relaxed state is practically an invitation for me to make my move! If I can take advantage of this last blind spot, strike with lightning speed, and seize that bald bastard... I can tear a path to survival!"

"No problem, absolutely no problem!"

He laughed wildly to himself, the dizziness from the surge of adrenaline making him almost tremble.

"These guys are completely unsuspecting, hahaha, I guess I'm not destined to die! You'll pay for your carelessness. Hold it in, keep a natural expression, don't laugh out loud, and absolutely don't give yourself away..."

He moved slowly, each step feeling like he was walking on the edge of a minefield, until he finally got close to the water dispenser.

Meanwhile, his target—Saitama—was lazily staring at the television screen, seemingly oblivious to the approaching threat behind him.

"Closer, closer..."

Hungry Wolf's pupils contracted to pinpoints, his gaze rapidly shifting between Boros and King, both of whom had their backs to him and showed no intention of turning around.

"At this distance, even a split second, a reaction speed of supersonic, wouldn't be enough for me to save him! They definitely won't be able to react in time!"

"It's coming, it's coming!"

The wolf's arm muscles tensed instantly, like a venomous snake poised to strike.

"If I manage to escape this time, I'll definitely thank you properly, you little bald guy, ahahaha!" He laughed wildly in his heart.

"Now!!!"

The wolf's eyes flashed with ferocity, a hideous grin spreading across its face. It pounced on the unsuspecting Saitama like an arrow released from a bow, roaring wildly:

"Just kidding, haha, I'll kill you all sooner or later—"

"Bang!!!"

A deafening roar interrupted his unfinished rant. Saitama didn't even change his stance; he simply raised his hand and delivered a straight punch to the distorted, grinning face.

The hungry wolf, pouncing with all its might, was sent flying backward by a single punch, disappearing into the sky along with the shattered window, leaving only a receding black dot.

"I'll be back again~"

Boros faintly heard the voice of Grey Wolf.

The living room fell silent instantly, save for the curtains rustling in the night breeze. Saitama withdrew his fist and clapped his hands casually.

"What are you doing? You were watching TV, you scared me."

He let out a long yawn, tears welling in his eyes, then turned to Boros and asked innocently:

"I accidentally knocked him away, is that okay?"

Boros's face twitched slightly: "...Ah, never mind, let's leave it at that..."

.................. ..

The next few days passed peacefully. Apart from the unexpected resurgence of strange occurrences, the once-famous "Hero Hunters" disappeared without a trace, as if they had never existed.

Boros sat idly by the window, tapping lightly on the screen of his personal computer, wondering if he should go to Mars for some fresh air.

A few days ago, his communicator rang, and Gleuganshoop contacted him, saying that the spaceship had already parked in Mars orbit and was waiting for him to return.

Boros didn't know what his pirate crew could do either. After thinking about it carefully, it seemed like they were completely useless... After thinking about it even more carefully, well... they really were completely useless.

Should we just send them back the way they came? Or should we let them fend for themselves in the wilderness?

Just then, a rustling sound came from behind. Saitama slowly walked over, holding a bag of potato chips, and was intently tearing open the packaging.

Unexpectedly, he used too much force, and the entire bag of potato chips spilled out with a whoosh. The golden fragments floated in the air, about to hit the ground.

In that split second, Saitama's eyes instantly became incredibly serious, and his previous languid demeanor vanished completely.

With full power, fingers darted through the air like lightning, catching the chips one by one before they even hit the ground and placing them neatly back into the bag.

Just as Saitama's finger was about to touch the last floating potato chip, Genos appeared right behind him.

Saitama's finger, which was just covered in potato chip crumbs, veered slightly in the air, barely brushing the edge of Genos's modified cheek.

Immediately afterwards, it was as if all power had been cut off; his once upright body stiffened abruptly, and the data stream in his pupils instantly went out. He fell straight down, his heavy mechanical body hitting the floor with a dull thud.

"Genos! What's wrong? Genos... don't scare me! You can't be hurt! If something happens to you... how are we supposed to live? Who will wash the dishes? Who will mop the floor? Genos, pull yourself together..."

Saitama watched Boros repeatedly tapping and shaking Genos, then looked blankly at his own palm.

"Hey, I think I did bump into something just now..."

"Hey, bald guy, stop pretending to be innocent. You're the one who hit him! Let me tell you, if Genos gets hurt, you'll be responsible for all the housework from now on!!!"

"What?!"

Upon hearing this, the bald man was shocked and lost his composure! He immediately joined in the hammering and banging.

After all, this is usually how we do things when old appliances break down; it's an old tradition. It should work for robots too, right? Probably...

"Genos, wake up! Please, please don't get hurt... How are we three supposed to live if something happens to you..." ×2

After a while, Genos finally sat up, swaying, after being shaken tirelessly.

His normally calm, blue electronic eyes were now flashing wildly with a jumble of red and yellow codes, and his mechanical, synthesized voice was intermittent, as if it were set up right out of the factory.

"Buzz...buzz...who are you?"

As he struggled to back away, he raised a trembling arm to shield himself, his voice filled with a strange mix of fear and anger:

"Damn it, stop banging! You're shaking me to pieces! Who are you guys anyway?"

"what?"

Boros and Saitama stopped what they were doing and looked at each other in bewilderment...
