Greece: I am the master of destiny!
Chapter 25 The Life Bottle
As we all know, this was a simple and honest era.
Unlike the three generations of gods led by Zeus, in this world where the gods of cunning and deception had not yet been born, there were almost no complicated relationships among the gods.
Therefore, their emotions are expressed very directly, with almost no attempt to hide them.
So... Gaia's face was now incredibly ugly. This Mother Earth, who always appeared kind and gentle, was now so angry that she was smashing things.
Atlas's mockery angered her even more than Uranus's disobedience.
Uranus was at least the king of the gods, but what was Atlas?
These juniors, they think they can step on her head now?
Does she, the Mother Earth, still retain any dignity or respectability?
What angered her even more was that Atlas was currently favored by Uranus, the king of the gods, and she couldn't really do anything to him for the time being...
This frustrating and infuriating feeling drove Gaia to the brink of madness.
"Prometheus, what method are you talking about?" Gaia gritted her teeth. "I'll make this blindly arrogant bastard pay the price!"
"Revered Earth Mother," Prometheus said earnestly, "before dealing with Atlas, I would like to request an audience with a goddess. She will surely be able to resolve your doubts."
"But as I said before, you'll have to pay a small price."
Gaia frowned, then patiently asked, "What price? What god?"
"She is the goddess born of Princess Asteria. You need to cover her tracks to prevent her from being discovered by His Majesty the King of Gods. You will need to take some risks, and this is the price."
Gaia immediately became interested and asked, "The god born of Asteria? Where is he? Let me see him."
Prometheus responded with a yes, but did not immediately summon Hecate. Instead, he silently calculated and determined that Uranus was currently in the outer sea causing trouble for Pontus before silently transmitting his thoughts.
Soon, Hecate appeared on the sacred mountain.
"Hecate greets the great Earth Mother." Hecate bowed respectfully, her voice sincere.
Gaia looked Hecate up and down, her eyes showing the same look of surprise that Prometheus had shown when he was born.
"Another powerful deity. Asteria has truly given birth to a remarkable child. But... how did you become associated with Prometheus?"
Upon hearing this, Hecate looked aggrieved and softly recounted how Asteria had abandoned her, and how she had been fortunate to receive help from Prometheus.
Finally, she raised her head, revealing slightly red eyes, and whispered, "Great Mother Earth, I don't want to implicate Prometheus, please help me."
"It's simple, I'll cover it up for you," Gaia said, overflowing with maternal love and feeling especially sorry for the seemingly pitiful, weak, and delicate little guy.
"Thank you, Your Highness, Mother Earth." Hecate quickly expressed her gratitude, then hesitated, "However, if we want to completely escape the King of Gods' perception, I'm afraid we'll have to borrow Your Highness's Life Bottle."
Gaia was taken aback.
The Bottle of Life was formed by Gaia at the beginning of creation from the "Source of Chaos" and the "Core of the Earth," symbolizing her divine authority and laws.
The bottle contains the "seed of all things" and an inexhaustible "fountain of life," capable of nurturing all things and also concealing all living beings.
Moreover, it can continuously generate life energy, ensuring that the flourishing and withering of plants and the reproduction of living things in nature can proceed alternately, thus maintaining the ecological balance of the world.
Even the golden divine liquid poured from the bottle is a treasure, capable of healing serious injuries, repairing damaged divine essence, and even protecting unborn children from persecution by higher divine powers.
"Is the Bottle of Life really necessary?" Gaia frowned, somewhat puzzled. "As long as Uranus doesn't try to deduce it, my intervention is enough."
"If it's just about protecting Hecate, Mother Earth, your help is certainly enough," Prometheus said with a smile. "But if we want to share your burdens, then we'll need this treasure bottle."
"But... that would require me to keep activating the bottle, and when Uranus comes into contact with me later, he will inevitably detect the fluctuations in my divine power," Gaia said.
"Therefore, I must ask you to lend the vase to my master," Hecate said softly. "With my master protecting me, I can better share your burdens."
"Hecate, how dare you!" Prometheus frowned and reprimanded, "The Bottle of Life is Princess Gaia's most precious treasure; how can it fall into the hands of another god?"
"I was being presumptuous," Hecate said, her eyes lowered, somewhat aggrieved. "I only wanted to help the great Earth Mother. Atlas's face is truly despicable, and I feel sorry for Her Highness."
"She is clearly the mother of all living beings, yet even a guy like Atlas dares to spout nonsense. I feel really saddened. I have overstepped my bounds."
"Then you can't borrow the Bottle of Life!" Prometheus declared righteously, but before he could finish speaking, he was interrupted by an angry Gaia.
"It's just a temporary loan to you, it's alright, I trust you."
She recalled Atlas's arrogant face not long ago, and gritted her teeth in anger: "If I don't retaliate now, I truly don't deserve to be a primordial god!"
Having said that, she stopped Prometheus from speaking further, and a holy halo gathered in her palm, a faint golden light spreading throughout the entire space.
The light was not dazzling, but like the warm sun in winter, it could quietly soothe all the anxiety and anger in the hearts of onlookers.
Within the light was a small white bottle, about the size of a palm, its surface covered with living golden patterns, like the roots of the earth, from which the holy golden light emanated.
Gaia looked at the bottle with a hint of reluctance in her eyes, but she still gritted her teeth, wrapped it in her divine power, and sent it to Prometheus.
"Use it carefully," Gaia said. "This bottle contains my laws of reproduction; you can't do anything reckless with it."
Prometheus nodded solemnly and carefully put the bottle away.
Upon seeing this, Hecate smiled and slowly walked to Gaia's side, whispering a few words in her ear.
Gaia's eyes lit up instantly, and she blurted out, "You can do that?!"
"Of course," Hecate said with a smile. "In that case, who would dare disrespect you, the Mother of All Beings?"
Gaia nodded emphatically, immediately stood up, and said impatiently, "Then I'll go find Uranus right now!"
Prometheus and Hecate did not stop her; they simply watched her leave.
"Why did I have to tell you such a despicable method?" Hecate looked at Prometheus, her beautiful eyes filled with a hint of resentment.
"I said it's not appropriate," Prometheus said calmly and confidently.
Hecate rolled her eyes, thinking to herself, "Is it appropriate for me to say it?"
But before she could even complain, Prometheus spoke again, asking, "You can actually weave the fate of Atlas?"
"Not yet, we can only influence it," Hecate said with a smile. "After all, they are the powerful Titans."
Prometheus breathed a sigh of relief, thinking that if this could weave the fate of the gods, it would be too much.
But then she quickly realized something and her eyes widened in astonishment: "Not for now? So it's okay later?"
Hecate smiled without saying a word.
Prometheus: "..."
This...this is beyond the limit, isn't it?
Wait, if God is above the limit, then it's because He is above the limit, so it's fine.
