Greece: I am the master of destiny!

Chapter 69 Deceiving the Gods into Working

The first human being was born, and Prometheus named him "Adam".

Adam knelt down in excitement, thanking God for His grace.

However, Prometheus did not interact much with Adam. Instead, under the astonished gaze of the gods, he casually broke off a long branch and flung out the dark earth mixed with the original liquid from the Bottle of Life.

With a "smack," countless mud droplets flew through the air before finally landing on the ground.

The moment these mud droplets landed, limbs and bodies sprouted, and in the blink of an eye, they transformed into tens of thousands of humans, who were now staring blankly at each other.

"Amazing skill."

Gaia, the Earth Mother Goddess who had been watching this place the whole time, couldn't help but sigh with satisfaction as she looked at these beings who looked exactly like the gods.

The Titans' expressions were increasingly complex upon seeing this.

They hadn't created anything decent in decades, but then Prometheus came and created such a perfect creation.

"Prometheus, how did you do that?" Iapetus asked with a hint of sourness. "It seems like you didn't put in much effort."

"Perhaps it's because of this soil," Prometheus said with a smile, showing the dark underworld to the gods. "I have imbued this soil with the rules of the world, making it even more suitable for creating all things."

"Would you like to give it a try?"

The gods looked at each other, somewhat curious, but due to their poor relationship with Prometheus, most of the Titans did not make a move.

On the contrary, Oceanus, who had always wanted to get along with Prometheus, stepped forward first and curiously accepted a bit of the dark underworld soil.

He thought for a moment and prepared to sculpt another 'fish'. He found that this time it went surprisingly smoothly. He didn't even have to exert much effort. The perfect black fish that had only existed in his mind appeared in his hand.

Oceanus stared wide-eyed in astonishment at the large fish that was now wriggling and jumping in his hand after being infused with divine power.

"You only need to imagine what this species looks like in your mind, and the soil will create its own form," Prometheus said with a smile. "I created 'human beings' in the image of the gods."

"Are these creatures called 'humans'?" asked the god-king Cronus.

"Yes, Your Majesty, they possess the blessings of the gods, regard the gods as supreme beings, and will have utmost devotion to them."

Before Prometheus had finished speaking, Cronus, as the king of the gods, felt that the world's will had greatly increased its recognition of Him.

This signifies the birth of the human race, which not only perfected the world but also propelled its development forward.

Cronus was very pleased with this and said, "I, Cronus the King of the Gods, hereby declare that humankind shall become the ruler of all beings in this world, and I permit them to feed on plants and the creations of the other gods."

"They will be the mortals in this world who are closest to gods."

The voice of the God-King carried far and wide, and the newly born, still bewildered humans instantly knelt down, devoutly worshipping the gods.

The Titans looked at these beings, who resembled themselves in form but were so humble and subservient, and each one of them was filled with wonder.

Strictly speaking, humans at this time were still called Golden Humans.

They possess the blessings of the gods and endless lifespans, are immune to illness, and are incredibly strong. Except for lacking divine power, they are practically replicas of the gods.

And most importantly, because they are all male and have no females, they cannot reproduce on their own.

Therefore, they cannot be considered human beings in the conventional sense.

When Gaia appeared and allowed them to live on the earth, these humans dispersed.

Seeing this, Oceanus couldn't resist the urge to try, and asked Prometheus, "Could we also obtain some human beings from the ocean?"

He gestured the shape of a fish tail and said, "Or the upper body could be human and the lower body a fish, so that it could better adapt to the aquatic environment."

Prometheus merely smiled upon hearing this and said, "Great Lord of the Ocean, your idea is truly wondrous. However, I have little land left in the Underworld. Why don't you come with me back to the Underworld to create more?"

Oceanus agreed without hesitation. After creating a real creation with his own hands, Oceanus became somewhat fascinated by the feeling.

Prometheus looked at the other Titans and sincerely invited them, "Would the gods be willing to come with me to the Underworld to create more life?"

The moment the topic of going to the underworld came up, the faces of eight Titans immediately darkened; they were thinking of some very unpleasant things.

Cronus was the first to politely decline, saying that the King of Gods was too busy.

The other Titans were still somewhat hesitant, but after being persuaded by Gaia and Oceanus, they felt that not going would be cowardly, so they gritted their teeth and agreed one by one.

Even though they were incredibly nervous inside, they still put on an act of "it's nothing special".

Then they realized they had worried too much.

Prometheus did not invite them directly into the underworld, but instead led them to the end of the River Styx, the entrance to the underworld, where there was countless black mud, all of which was the soil of the underworld.

Seeing that they didn't need to go in, the gods breathed a sigh of relief.

Oceanus took the lead, and after he used the black soil to create life forms with human bodies and fish tails, the other gods rolled up their sleeves and joined in.

Then they quickly discovered its wonders.

The underworld is a world unto itself, so the soil within it can be subject to independent laws, transforming it into the most suitable material for creation.

The gods held the clay in their hands and could easily mold it into form simply by imagining the shape of their creation in their minds.

This greatly reduced the difficulty of creation, and soon, these ancient Titans, who had been unable to produce anything decent for decades, created all sorts of wondrous life forms.

There were birds that flew in the sky, birds that swam in the water, and birds that ran on the ground, but none of them were the common animals of later generations.

From Prometheus's perspective, these creations, sculpted by the gods and blessed by them, seemed more like ancient mythical creatures.

So, from the perspective of later generations, the present is the ancient past? Oh well, that's alright then.

Seeing the Titans getting more and more excited as they sculpted, and seeing more and more creatures being created, Prometheus couldn't help but smile with satisfaction.

Because in His perception, the more of these lives born from the underworld appeared, the more stable the underworld became in this world, and even the erosion of the underworld by the Chaos world was greatly reduced.

Because these lives born from the underworld will eventually return to the underworld, and once these lives occupy an indispensable part of this world, the underworld will naturally become extremely important.

This wave is called—

Deeply integrated with the world.

If the gods knew that all the effort they put into creating things, using up their divine power, was only helping Prometheus expand the Underworld, they would probably be so angry that they would turn around and leave.

Unfortunately, they didn't know that, so they were kneading with great enthusiasm.
