Alien invasion? Luckily, I'm Superman.

Chapter 25 The Locomotive's Surrender, Homelander's Appearance

The unconscious locomotive was carried on Su Mo's shoulder. He swaggered out of the hospital gate.

Several security guards stood against the wall in the corridor, their walkie-talkies still ringing, but none of them dared to step forward.

They witnessed how Su Mo knocked the locomotive unconscious. Su Mo walked through them, exited through the automatic doors, and descended the steps.

The parking lot was behind the building. Butcher's Chevrolet was parked under a streetlamp. Su Mo walked to the back of the car, opened the trunk, and stuffed the locomotive inside. The locomotive's body was curled up in the trunk, its blue uniform stained with dust.

Butcher was already in the driver's seat, starting the engine, its deep sound muffled in the night. Hughie opened the back door and got in. Su Mo closed the trunk, walked to the driver's side window, and placed her hand on the door.

Wait, that's not right.

Su Mo closed his eyes, and his super hearing activated instantly, catching the increasingly close sound of something breaking through the air coming from the southwest.

He opened his eyes.

"Butcher, Hughie, you two go first," Su Mo urged. Butcher and Hughie were too fragile as ordinary people. "Trouble is coming. I'll stay behind to cover our retreat."

Butcher didn't move immediately. His hands gripped the steering wheel. "Su Mo, what's the trouble?"

Before he finished speaking, Butcher's gaze passed over Su Mo's shoulder and fell on a shadow in the distant sky.

A star-blue bodysuit, blonde hair, and a red and white cloak fluttering behind her.

The figure flew down from the night sky, vertically downwards. He descended from the sky, his right foot pointing downwards, like a missile, precisely landing on the roof of the Chevrolet.

Su Mo moved at the last moment. He lifted his feet off the ground, his body rising into the air to meet Homelander's kick. He caught Homelander's foot with both hands, like catching a falling sandbag, and then tossed it aside.

Homelander's body flew sideways and crashed into a concrete pillar at the edge of the parking lot. The pillar shattered in half, cracks spreading upwards from the point of impact, and fragments scattered all over the ground.

Homelander stood up from the rubble, dusted himself off, and his expression remained unchanged.

Su Mo landed back on the ground, blocking the front of the car.

"Alright, stop dawdling and get out of here with the evidence." He said to those behind him without turning around.

Butcher moved his foot from the brake to the accelerator. Hughie leaned against the car window, staring wide-eyed at Su Mo's retreating figure.

The Chevrolet's tires screeched on the asphalt, then it sped off, rounded the corner, and disappeared into the night.

Homelander watched the car drive away without giving chase.

His gaze remained fixed on Su Mo, scrutinizing her from head to toe.

"You can fly too?" He tilted his head, his voice strangely calm. "And you have superpowers?"

His lips slowly curled up, not in a smile, but with a more complex expression, as if he were recalling unfortunate events from the past. (Note 1)

"Are you a clone of me created by the Vought Group?"

Su Mo didn't reply. He looked at Homelander's perpetually smiling, confident face. But now, in the dim light of the parking lot, a crack appeared in that expression.

Su Mo spoke, her voice not loud, but every word was clear.

"Ha, you're nothing but a giant baby imitating Superman. Pathetic and hateful."

The corner of the father's mouth twitched.

"Tsk tsk tsk, being a guinea pig from childhood to adulthood, how pathetic."

The air was quiet for a second.

Then the expression on Homelander's face vanished. Completely vanished, as if someone had turned off the lights. Only one thing remained in his eyes: pure, unadulterated killing intent.

"Damn it!" His voice was forced out of his throat, like metal rubbing against metal, "I'll kill you! I'm the strongest!"

He moved.

Homelander's fist slammed towards Su Mo's face, so fast that it left a loud bang in the air.

Su Mo turned to the side, the force of the punch grazing his ear. Su Mo then bent his knee and plunged it into the chest of the man from the motherland.

Homelander's body arched like a bow, and he flew backward. He flipped in the air to regain his balance, and there was a noticeable dent in his uniform on his chest.

He glanced down at the dent in his chest, then looked up at Su Mo, his murderous intent turning red.

Two fiery red beams shot out from his pupils, striking Su Mo precisely in the chest. The heat rays exploded on Su Mo's black tracksuit, burning a scorch mark on the surface of the clothes, and filling the air with the smell of burnt fabric.

But Su Mo did not move.

The beam lasted for about three seconds before Homelander stopped.

Su Mo looked down at the scorch marks on his chest, patted them off, and blackened debris fell from his clothes. He looked up and smiled at his compatriots.

"Homelander, are you giving me a massage? The pressure is a bit too light."

The eyes of the people of the motherland widened suddenly.

His face contorted, and the next second, Homelander vanished from the spot.

Su Mo felt a hand grip his neck. Homelander had flown in front of him without him noticing, his right hand's five fingers tightly gripping Su Mo's Adam's apple, his knuckles turning white from the force.

He wanted to crush Su Mo, to hear the sound of her neck breaking, and to see those hateful eyes lose their luster.

But Su Mo's neck was as stiff as a steel pillar. The bones of the Homelander's fingers cracked on his throat, as if he were squeezing an extremely hard diamond.

Su Mo raised his right hand and easily grabbed Homelander's wrist, like holding a child's hand. Homelander tried to break free, but those fingers held him like iron clamps, not moving an inch.

"Homelanders, get some sleep."

As Su Mo finished speaking, his abdomen tightened, and a surge of air rose from his chest and poured out of his mouth. A white, icy current exploded between the two of them.

The breath of ice.

The man didn't even have time to close his eyes. The cold air hit him head-on, enveloping him in a thick shell of ice from head to toe in a fraction of a second.

The ice was transparent, gleaming with a pale blue light under the streetlights. The expression of the people in the film was frozen in the ice; their eyes were still open, their mouths slightly agape, and their fingers still in a clenched grip.

The ice block hit the ground with a dull thud, leaving a shallow dent in the asphalt.

Su Mo squatted down and looked at Homelander inside the ice. The ice was only a temporary confinement; if Su Mo wanted, Homelander wouldn't even feel the cold. That's how Superman is, after all.

"Alright, now it's time to take you away and lock you up." Su Mo muttered to himself, standing up and dusting off his knees. "Perfect, wasn't the government wary of you? Surely they won't anymore."

As he was about to lift the ice block, his super vision inadvertently swept across the distant horizon.

Wait a moment.

What is that?

Su Mo's pupils contracted slightly. In that direction, a passenger plane was slowly descending from the sky.

Su Mo quickly used his mind to touch Homelander, who was frozen in ice, "Homelander, what happened when you arrived?"

Inside the ice, Homelander sensed Su Mo's thoughts and let out a disdainful laugh in his heart, "Ha. Just a bunch of dying ants."

Su Mo clenched her fists.

"Explain yourself. Otherwise, I can punch you into pieces inside the ice, one punch at a time. Do you believe me?"

There was a two-second silence.

"It's just a plane hijacked by terrorists," Homelander's voice echoed in my mind, with that nonchalant tone. "It should be crashing by now. After all, I accidentally destroyed the control panel when I was taking down the terrorists."

careless!

Homelander interfered in government affairs, dealt with the hijacking, and then destroyed the plane's control panel, leaving the entire crew to die. He didn't even see anything wrong with it.

Su Mo abruptly pulled himself out of his thoughts. He glanced at the frozen Homelander, raised his hand, and, controlling the force, patted each of Homelander's limbs through the ice.

The force pierced precisely through the ice, striking the bones. The sound of bones cracking was muffled, almost inaudible through the ice. Homelander's eyes widened suddenly within the ice, then his consciousness faded into darkness.

Su Mo turned around, bent his knees slightly, and soared into the sky. He flew very fast. The air exploded in his ears, the clouds swept past him, and the city lights shrank into a blurry patch of light behind him.

His super vision remained locked on the falling passenger plane, and within seconds he was right in front of it.

Su Mo slowed down and hovered outside the cabin.

He could see through the fuselage what was inside: passengers were crammed into the aisle screaming, and flight attendants were trying to maintain order, but their voices were completely drowned out.

Su Mo took a deep breath, flew to the side of the fuselage, put his hands on the cabin door, and gently pushed it open. He slipped into the cabin.

In the cabin, everyone was stunned. They all saw a young man in a black tracksuit appear out of thin air on the plane.

Su Mo did not speak.

He moved so fast that he left a series of afterimages in the cabin. He appeared in front of the passengers in the first row, lifted the old man up under his arms, and disappeared into the cabin. The next second he returned, appeared next to another seat, picked up a child, and disappeared. Then he returned, and disappeared again.

On the ground, on a wide-open grassy area, in less than ten seconds, all two hundred passengers and crew members were transferred to the grass.

Su Mo finally appeared beside the plane. His hand gently supported the fuselage, like cradling a plate. A bio-force field emanated from his palm, covering the entire surface of the aircraft and forming an invisible protective layer. The fuselage came to a stable stop on his palm, no longer falling.

Su Mo lifted the plane and slowly landed it on the grass. When the fuselage touched down, there was almost no vibration.

The passengers sat on the grass, shivering, hugging each other; some were crying, some were laughing. A flight attendant knelt on the ground, making the sign of the cross, her lips moving incessantly.

Su Mo didn't linger. He released his grip, turned, and flew away.

On the grassy ground, someone looked up and saw the black figure disappearing into the night sky.

When Su Mo flew back to the parking lot, the frozen Homelander was gone.

It seems that the people from the Water Group took him away. Are they still not giving up?

He stood in front of the puddle for two seconds. Then he sighed. His super hearing activated, and he located the sound of Butcher's Chevrolet amidst the city's background noise.

Su Mo flew in that direction.

PS: Note 1: Homelander is an experimental product of the Vought Organization. He has lived in a laboratory since childhood and has been constantly abused and bullied by disgusting scientists. Things like electric shocks and being roasted in high-temperature furnaces are common occurrences. (To speed up the pace, this will not be elaborated on in the plot.)
