Captain America's shield clashed with Strucker's scepter several times, sparks flying, neither gaining the upper hand. Black Widow attempted to flank from the side, but was entangled by a relentless stream of soldiers. The narrow space echoed with a dense clang of weapons striking each other. Neither side had the upper hand.

Just as the battle reached its climax, an invisible wave swept in from afar. The Scarlet Witch's terrifying illusions enveloped the entire base, naturally including this underground hall.

Hawkeye's vision was of his home. His wife sat at the dining table, his children played with toys on the carpet. They laughed, cursed, and pointed their guns at his family. He could only watch as flames spurted from those gun barrels, as his family members fell one by one.

Su Mo returned to a room—a rented apartment in an ordinary neighborhood in an ordinary city. Then he saw the city ablaze. Alien warships blotted out the sky. But his body was that of an ordinary human. He could only stand there, powerless to stop humanity's extinction.

Su Mo clenched his fists. His consciousness struggled for a moment in the illusion, like a drowning person struggling underwater. Then he opened his eyes.

Reality. He was on the battlefield, amidst the ruins of the Hydra base in Sokovia. The Scarlet Witch lay a few meters away from him, her eyes closed.

Her energy field had dissipated, and the terrifying illusion that had enveloped the entire base began to fade as she fell unconscious. During the outburst, she broke free from the control Baron Strucker had placed with the Mind Stone, but she herself was exhausted and fell unconscious.

Su Mo's fist was still raised. In the instant before he regained consciousness, his fist was about to smash into Wanda's face. He abruptly stopped. His fist halted less than ten centimeters from Wanda.

After Wanda fell into a coma, the terrifying hallucinations did not last. The others also woke up one after another, with those who were more determined regaining consciousness faster.
