Alien invasion? Luckily, I'm Superman.

Chapter 87 Battle Against the Symbiote God

After saying that, Devourer of Stars suddenly frowned. He touched his stomach, made a muffled gurgling sound in his throat, and then spat out a dark, gooey mass.

The lump hit the floor of the main hall, rolled twice, and gradually unfolded into the shape of a person.

Thin, tall, with skin as pale as a vampire's, long, jet-black hair, and two crimson flames burning in his eye sockets. His armor was tattered and torn, missing pieces here and cracked there, looking utterly wretched. This was none other than the Symbiotic God—Nal.

Nar rose from the ground, trembling uncontrollably. He was furious. As an ancient deity who existed before the birth of the universe, a being powerful enough to slaughter the Celestials, he had been sealed away by his own creation, eaten by the ravenous purple behemoth, and now spat out. This humiliation was utterly unacceptable.

In the distance, Star-Lord, crouching behind, saw Knar's tattered clothes and couldn't help but burst out laughing: "Hahaha, what kind of homeless person is this?"

Nar's crimson gaze swept sharply across the area. His long hair billowed as he channeled all his power, connecting with the primordial dark void.

That was the abyss before the birth of the universe, the source of his power. Black liquid surged from his body, climbing, covering, and condensing like a living thing, forming a brand new symbiotic armor over his tattered armor, with the iconic red dragon emblem appearing on his chest.

But then he suddenly thought of the symbiotic dragon that had betrayed him, and felt disgusted. The dragon emblem on his chest wriggled and turned into a giant sword, a tribute to the first weapon he had created, the All-Black Death Sword.

Unfortunately, the Black Death Sword had already been given to the Godslayer Gale after he faked his death. But this didn't stop him. Nar manipulated his shadow, combining it with his primal dark nature, and drew a thick cloud of black mist from the void.

The black mist solidified, stretched, and took shape in his hands, forging a similar pitch-black giant sword with dark red patterns flowing along its blade.

The next instant, Knull vanished from his spot and reappeared behind Star-Lord. His sword flashed horizontally, silently, aimed at Star-Lord's neck.

Star-Lord felt a chill run down his spine and instinctively raised his hand. A flash of purple light appeared in his palm, and the cosmic energy given to him by Galactus condensed into a scepter, barely blocking Knull's sword.

A deafening clang of metal clashing echoed through the empty hall. Star-Lord was sent flying by the force of the impact, his back slamming into the wall and creating a shallow crater.

The Guardians of the Galaxy were startled, then realized what was happening. Purple cosmic energy simultaneously ignited around them.

The "gift" from Galactus was now exploding within them like a powder keg. They were not yet familiar with these powers, but there was no time to slowly figure them out.

Drax the Destroyer picked up two large swords and charged upwards with a wide swing. His body was enveloped in purple energy, and each step left a shallow footprint in the ground. The two swords crossed and slashed towards Gnar's waist and abdomen.

Nar raised his sword to parry. As the swords clashed, Drax felt an overwhelming force surge from the hilt of his sword, making his hand go numb.

In less than two breaths, the soft flesh between his ten fingers was ripped apart, and blood flowed down the hilt of the knife, staining the strips of cloth wrapped around it red.

Nar's sword flashed, slashing towards his head. Drax's heart sank.

At the critical moment, Gamora made her move. She had acquired the ability to manipulate rocks from Galactus, and was still quite unfamiliar with it, but she couldn't care less about that now.

She pushed her hands forward, and large chunks of gemstones condensed from the void, sharp as spears, whistling as they pierced towards Nar's eyes.

Gnar unleashed a burst of power, black energy exploding from his armor and shattering the gems into dust. But Drax had already seized the opportunity to roll back and escape Gnar's attack range.

Narho turned abruptly, conjuring a symbiotic shield out of thin air with his left hand, blocking a burst of energy bullets fired by Rocket Raccoon from the flank. The bullets struck the shield, exploding into bursts of purple sparks.

Mantis pressed her hands to her temples, her telekinetic energy wrapping around Gnar's body like invisible chains, while simultaneously attempting to read his consciousness.

The moment her consciousness touched Nar, it was like hitting a black wall, or a bottomless abyss. Her vision went white as she was thrown back by the terrifyingly deep power of the void, staggering back two steps.

Star-Lord, who had been knocked away, crawled out of the crater in the wall. He swung his scepter, and stellar flames erupted from its tip, transforming into a fire dragon that lunged at Knar. He didn't stop taunting, loudly proclaiming, "No wonder you were sealed away! You're just trash who can only sneak attacks!"

Nar's rage burned even brighter. He spoke slowly, his voice hoarse and strained, his throat, which hadn't uttered a word in billions of years, vibrating with difficulty: "You... dare to offend the gods! Die!"

Su Mo and the big dog Cosmo flew over from the other side. Su Mo looked at Nar's disheveled and angry appearance and was a little surprised. He was able to survive being eaten by Galactus. This old thing was really tough.

At that moment, Galactus's voice came from the throne, languid and sleepy after a satisfying meal: "Su Mo, Star-Lord, this guy is yours to handle. The cosmic energy I gave you should be enough to defeat him. I'm off, I'm a little tired."

He pressed a button on the armrest of the throne. The entire Ta'a II emitted a deep hum, and purple energy surged along the surface of the Möbius strip. Then the entire behemoth vanished into thin air, along with Galactus and his Star Throne, disappearing to some unknown corner of the universe.

Only Su Mo and his group remained in the main hall, along with the enraged symbiotic god opposite them.

Cosmo, the big dog, wasn't good at fighting, so Su Mo reluctantly sent it back to the spaceship and made it stay in the cockpit to guard the door.

"You're the God of Symbiotes?" Su Mo turned his head, looked at Nar, and chuckled. "Speaking of which, we're somewhat connected. My Pudding is a descendant of those little guys who self-destructed to seal you back then."

Nar's eyes turned even redder. The symbiotic tentacles on his body danced wildly like grass swaying in the wind, and his long, jet-black hair fluttered without any wind.

Suddenly, Su Mo swung his right arm violently, and a golden sword of Vishandi materialized from his palm. He hurled it like a javelin, and it flew toward Nar with a sharp whooshing sound.

Nar reacted with lightning speed, shifting his body to the side while simultaneously swinging his greatsword at the golden sword. The Sword of Vishanti shattered instantly, transforming into countless golden specks of light.

But Su Mo had already seized the opportunity to rush to Nar's side. Pudding, not to be outdone, conjured a large black sword in his hand and slashed down at him. Nar dodged by tilting his head, but a section of his flowing black hair was cut off by the blade and scattered in the air.

Su Mo and Nar clashed, their swords locked, purple cosmic energy and black abyssal power tearing at each other repeatedly.

Drax seized the opportunity, manipulating his newly acquired spatial compression ability to leap across thousands of meters in a single step, appearing directly behind Nar.

The two curved blades crossed to form a blood-red scissor blade, slashing towards Nar's waist and abdomen with such force that it seemed they would cut him in two at the waist.

Gnar felt a chill run down his spine. Distracted, he looked back and drew a symbiotic spear from the void with his left hand, smashing it horizontally onto Drax's twin blades.

The immense force knocked Drax off balance, but he gritted his teeth, roared, and with veins bulging in his arms, he pushed the twin blades forward with all his might.

One hand can't stop two, especially with Su Mo holding him back. Drax's twin blades finally slashed at Gnar's waist and abdomen.

The dark gold armor on Nar, engraved with the emblem of a greatsword, blocked the blow for him. The blade collided with the armor, producing a piercing metallic scraping sound and sparks flying.

Nar shook his slightly numb left arm and looked down to see two deep cracks in his armor, which had almost been completely severed. Not only was Drax's blade very sharp, but the brute force was also immense, forcefully cracking the armor.

Seizing the moment when Nar was distracted, Su Mo's eyes flashed red, and two beams of heat slammed into Nar's chest. At the same time, he activated the molecular matter recombination ability he had just obtained from Galactus, attempting to dismantle the symbiotic armor on Nar's body.

Pudding wasn't idle either. Countless black tentacles shot out from Su Mo's body, clashing with the furiously thrashing tentacles on Nar's body.

Pudding inherited all of Gnar's symbiote abilities and also learned the magic of Kamar-Taj, its tentacles shimmering with golden magical runes. In each confrontation, Pudding's tentacles could sever a piece of Gnar's symbiote, then greedily absorb it and make it its own.

Star-Lord, Gamora, Rocket, Mantis, and Groot were also busy.

Star-Lord used his celestial flames to block Nar's retreat, Gamora conjured gem spikes that pierced Nar from all angles, Rocket Raccoon fired two energy guns alternately, Mantis used her telekinesis to constantly disrupt Nar's movements, and Groot sprouted countless tough vines from his palms to entangle Nar's ankles.

Nar finally couldn't take it anymore. He had finally escaped the seal, and he didn't want to be defeated here. There was plenty of time in the future; wouldn't it be better to slowly recover his strength and deal with these people one by one?

Su Mo's heat beam paused for a moment. Taking advantage of this, Nar suddenly launched himself backward with lightning speed, turning and leaving without hesitation. His decisiveness caught everyone off guard.

Su Mo had just seen Gnar's aura surge and thought that the opponent was about to unleash a powerful attack, so he was on high alert and ready to fight. Unexpectedly, Gnar turned tail and ran away.

But Su Mo and the Guardians of the Galaxy couldn't just let him get away like that.

Su Mo was the first to catch up, and the two of them broke through the faster-than-light speed in an instant, rushing out of the Andromeda Galaxy one after the other.

Star-Lord and the others barely managed to catch up with Su Mo and Gnar, who were now locked in combat again, thanks to Mantis's psychological suggestion and Drax's spatial compression ability.

Su Mo wielded the Sword of Vishanti, slicing away at the symbiote on Gnar's body, one strike at a time. Black fragments drifted down, gradually revealing Gnar's true form—skinny, disheveled, and comical.

The symbiotic armor on his body was getting thinner and thinner, and soon it would be completely stripped off.

"Guardians of the Galaxy!" Su Mo amplified his voice across the entire void with cosmic energy. "Now! Mobilize all cosmic energy and attack Knull!"

Star-Lord and the others exchanged glances, then spontaneously gathered together. They pooled the cosmic energy within each of them, and purple light surged from their bodies, converging into a thick river of energy that flowed entirely into Star-Lord's body.

Star-Lord is a descendant of the Celestials, and his physical limits are far greater than those of the others; only he can serve as this vessel.

The energy gathered and increased. Star-Lord was enveloped in starlight, golden light emanating from his skin, eyes, and mouth, making him resemble a lit lamp. His eyes turned pure white.

Star-Lord roared and swung his scepter, blasting out the ball of cosmic energy that had been condensed to its extreme.

The power that was originally enough to destroy a galaxy was compressed into a fist-sized sphere, with a temperature exceeding the peak of a supernova explosion, and it crashed towards Nar with unstoppable force.

Su Mo held onto Nar tightly a split second before the energy arrived.

The energy ball struck Gnar in the back. An intensely hot white flame engulfed everything. Su Mo and Gnar were both submerged in the light.

Su Mo only felt a warmth, not only because the cosmic energy and the energy in his body were of the same origin and would not harm him, but also because this attack was equivalent to a star explosion, and Su Mo's superhuman physique prevented him from being hurt by the star.

But Nar wasn't so lucky. His screams echoed in the flames as his flesh was burned away layer by layer, revealing his white skeleton underneath.

The black abyssal power seeped from between his bones, desperately resisting, but all was in vain before that cosmic energy far exceeding his current state.

Su Mo did not let go. Pudding surged out of his body, transforming into countless tiny black threads that pierced into Nar's tattered body and began to devour him.

It devours the flesh, knowledge, and memories of the symbiotic god, as well as the authority belonging to the primordial deity. For Pudding, this is not just a battle, but a rite of passage.

Nar's voice grew weaker and weaker, fading into the distance, until it vanished completely. His remaining body turned to nothingness in the white light, leaving not even ashes behind.

Su Mo let out a long sigh and loosened his arms. He floated in the void, every pore on his body glowing.

Pudding let out a satisfied gurgling sound inside him. Its consciousness spread out beyond Su Mo's mind, like a tree growing new branches wildly in spring, touching areas it had never touched before.

Su Mo's mind became clearer than ever before. Things that had troubled him for so long—including the mysterious drop of metal within his body, the overlooked potential threat in the bracelet's remains, and even the laughing face of the Bat of Laughter—were no longer problems. They weren't resolved yet, but he felt more confident facing them.

His strength was rapidly increasing, like a pool of water being constantly filled, the water level rising sharply. Now, even if Su Mo encountered the demon god Barbatos, he would have the power to fight. He might not win, but at least he could survive.

He turned and looked around. The five members of the Guardians of the Galaxy were exhausted and sprawled out, while Star-Lord floated in space like a rag doll, his light fading away.

Su Mo shook his head and led the members of the Guardians of the Galaxy into the spaceship.
