Alien invasion? Luckily, I'm Superman.

Chapter 97 Gotham Circle Mountain?

"Part of me feels sorry for Damian, but another part of me feels that he's a villain who thinks he's a good person." Beast Boy crossed his arms and leaned against the cabin wall, his tone carrying a complex mix of emotions.

"Now is not the time to rub salt into his wounds, Beast Boy." Raven didn't even look up; her purple hood obscured half her face, and her voice was cold.

"Now is the perfect opportunity, Raven." Beast Boy grinned, wanting to say something more, but Raven glared at him, silencing him.

The people having the conversation are Beast Boy and Raven, members of the Teen Titans.

They chatted casually in the Titan's fighter jet, while Starfire steered from the cockpit.

Meanwhile, Damian, the leader of the Teen Titans, also known as Robin, is riding on a large cat with bat wings, flying ahead of the fighter jet towards Gotham, hoping to find his father, Batman.

The big cat was named Goliath, Damian's pet and mount. It had brownish-yellow fur all over its body, and its wingspan was wider than the fuselage. It glided silently through the air.

Just then, a streak of fire descended from the sky. Su Mo, engulfed in flames, plummeted towards the young Titan's fighter jet like a meteorite.

Su Mo is currently lost in a dream, and in the dream, the Sleep Demon appears.

It was a tall, pale-faced young man dressed in a white robe. He stood in an endless void, with countless grains of sand floating slowly behind him, each grain like a tiny star.

His voice was deep and gentle, possessing a power that involuntarily calmed people down.

"Su Mo, I've been observing you for a long time," Sandman Daniel said solemnly. "I believe you can save the multiverse from Barbatos."

Su Mo's forehead creased with annoyance, and she said irritably, "You, Daniel, you've already screwed over Batman, and now you're screwing me over too?"

He was referring to Daniel Radcliffe misleading Batman into opening the gates to the Dark Multiverse.

Daniel chuckled, scratched his head, and said with a hint of embarrassment, "I didn't do it on purpose. I was just tricked by Barbatos and the DC Universe."

He stopped smiling and looked at Su Mo seriously. "Alright, you'll get your share of the benefits after this is done."

Su Mo sighed helplessly. He did need to solve Barbatos's problem and absorb his power. Moreover, since Daniel had come to him personally, it meant that things had reached a point where he could no longer ignore them.

He finally nodded and agreed, but he was also a little puzzled. Why was the Sandman so silly? But then he thought about it and realized that Daniel had only recently inherited the Sandman's mantle and was just a mortal before, so he understood.

Su Mo opened his eyes. He found himself on Earth 1 of the DC Bright Universe, lying on a stretcher, with several large faces crowded in front of him.

Beast Boy's green head, Raven's purple hood, Aquaman's blond hair.

Su Mo abruptly sat up on the stretcher, the large faces all shrinking back in unison. He looked at the familiar faces before him—the green-skinned Beast Boy, the purple-robed Raven, the red-haired Starfire, and the blond Aquaman—and asked, "Are you the Teen Titans?"

"That's right! We are the Teen Titans! When you're in trouble, you know who to turn to..." Beast Boy smiled and suddenly jumped out, spreading his arms wide and raising them in an exaggerated pose.

Su Mo stretched out his right hand, covering the Beast Boy's face with his palm and pushing the green head away a little. He asked helplessly, "So where are we now? How far has Barbatos' invasion of Earth progressed?"

"Who is Barbatos?" Spark turned around from the driver's seat, her long red hair whipping through the air in an arc, her face full of confusion.

Su Mo immediately realized what time it was. The Teen Titans were on their way to the invaded Gotham, which meant that the story of Dark Night: Metal had only just begun.

"Barbatos is the guy who kidnapped Batman." Su Mo stood up, spread his hands, and explained, his gaze sweeping over Aquaman, Raven, and Beast Boy in front of him. "And my purpose in coming here is to rescue Batman."

"What? You know where my father is?!" Damian's surprised voice came through the communicator.

He was riding on Goliath's back, the big cat's wings whistling in the wind, and his voice carried an barely suppressed urgency.

"That's right, I know how to find Batman." Su Mo nodded, "but it requires cooperation with the Justice League."

He recalled the plot of *Dark Nights: Metal*, where Superman found Batman, but that was falling into a trap set by Barbatos. He had to avoid that step.

While everyone was talking, the fighter jet and Goliath had already reached their destination—the skies above Gotham City. They broke through the thick clouds, and the sight before them made everyone gasp.

Gotham City is enveloped by a massive ring structure, with black metal arcs stretching from one end of the horizon to the other, like a giant iron pot.

In the very heart of the city, a towering mountain rises abruptly from the ground, its summit disappearing into the clouds, exuding a suffocating sense of oppression.

"By Poseidon, is that Gotham? What happened here?" Aquaman exclaimed, his hand unconsciously tightening around his trident.

"The people below need help! Teen Titans, move out!" Beast Boy shouted, and his fighter jet swooped down.

"Wait, Beast Boy, the fighter jet is out of control! It's going to crash!" Starfire shouted, gripping the control stick tightly with both hands, trying his best to control the landing angle of the fighter jet. The fuselage shook violently, and the alarm beeped incessantly.

"Alright, I'll do it!" Raven rolled her eyes, and purple magical energy surged from her palm, enveloping the entire fuselage like a thin film.

The fighter jet's descent speed suddenly slowed down, as if it were being supported by an invisible hand, and it landed smoothly on the ground, kicking up a cloud of dust the moment it touched down.

Just as the fighter jet came to a stop, a car sped out from the side of the street, veering precariously toward a mother and daughter who were running away. Beast Boy immediately transformed into a rhinoceros, his powerful limbs pushing off the ground as he charged toward the side of the car.

But Su Mo was even faster. He vanished from his spot in an instant and appeared in front of the mother and daughter, catching the oncoming car with one hand.

The front of the car dented slightly in his palm, the entire car came to a sudden stop, bounced up and then fell back down, coming to a steady stop in place.

Su Mo gently placed the car on the ground. The mother and daughter stared at him, still in shock, their mouths agape, unable to utter a word.

"Hey, you stole my thunder!" Beast Boy turned back into human form and complained, but he knew the seriousness of the matter and didn't say anything more. He turned around to help the other trapped citizens.

Raven stood beside the fighter jet, squinting at the dark mountain in the distance, and said in a solemn tone, "I sensed dark energy surging from that mountain. It doesn't belong to this world; it's very dangerous."

Damian jumped off Goliath's back and stood before a huge question mark door.

The door was dark green, with two large yellow-green question marks inlaid on it. He turned to Goliath and instructed him, "Goliath, stay here and help the others."

"Robin, we're a team, we have to stick together, and these lives are more important, we have to help them!" Starfire helped an old man up from the ground and shouted back to Damian.

"No need, Starfire, I've already taken care of it." Su Mo emerged from the shadows of the street. In just a short time, he had scanned the entire Gotham City with super speed and super vision.

Then they rescued everyone who was in danger and threw the ordinary criminals who took advantage of the chaos at the entrance of the police station.

"My God! Are you Superman?" Beast Boy exclaimed, his eyes wide. He had just caught a glimpse of Su Mo's series of afterimages that were too fast to see clearly.

"Well, I guess so." Su Mo nodded, answering succinctly, "But I'm not a superman in your world."

"Cool!" Beast Boy exclaimed, his eyes lighting up. "With Superman, we can definitely save the world!"

Su Mo sighed and rubbed his forehead. He walked over to Damian and said softly, "Let's go, gather your companions."

Damian gave a look of suspicion just like Batman's, his eyes slightly raised, his chin tucked in, and his lips pressed into a thin line.

But in the end, he nodded, turned around, and waved to the Titans' members, signaling them to follow.

Together with Su Mo, the members of the Teen Titans pushed open the door to the Riddler's door.

Inside the door was a chaotic, disorganized, crisscrossing maze filled with traps and mechanisms.

Staircases lead to the ceiling, corridors curve and fold on the floor, and rooms connect at impossible angles.

The crisscrossing passages and walls riddled with traps form a vast maze, where every turn may conceal a deadly snare.

Following the distress signal received on Damian's armband bracelet, which was from an unknown source, the group proceeded through countless traps and mechanisms: pitfall spike traps where the ground suddenly collapsed, revealing dense iron spikes underneath; car traps, sledgehammer traps, and so on.

But with the help of Su Mo, Raven, and Xinghuo, they successfully passed one challenge after another.

"Have you ever heard of... the pharaohs who built the pyramids...? I am the master of the labyrinth, and you are tomb raiders..."

The riddle-maker's voice echoed in Su Mo and the others' ears, sometimes near, sometimes far, coming from all directions simultaneously, like countless flies buzzing in their heads. He kept using this nonsense to distract them, trying to disrupt their judgment.

Su Mo, unable to bear it any longer, stopped and shouted at the empty air, "Riddler, shut up! You idiot! Get out here, or get out of Gotham!"

The riddle-maker's voice suddenly disappeared for a moment.

Just as Su Mo finished speaking, Damian pushed open a large door in front of him.

Behind the door was a surging red tide of blood.

Thick, rusty blood gushed out from behind the door, engulfing Damian's body like a burst dam and sending him flying.

His body tumbled through the air and plummeted toward the spiked trap not far away.

"Robin!" Starfire shouted, leaping into the air. Her hands glowed with green energy, and she caught Damian just before he fell into the spike trap. With a steady princess carry, she supported his shoulders and knees, pulling him back from above the spikes.

Damian's face was pale, blood was dripping down his uniform, and his brows were furrowed.

"I've had enough!" The riddle-maker's furious voice boomed through the maze, filled with the rage of someone who had been humiliated. "You damned cheaters! My maze doesn't welcome you!"

He was clearly furious; it was a disgrace that every trap he had meticulously prepared for Damian had been easily broken by Su Mo and the Titan Squad.

"Hehe, you're right." A green figure emerged from a side passage, holding a longbow with the bowstring fully drawn.

He released his fingers, and the arrow shot through the air, accurately hitting a black shadow lurking in the shadows not far away.

The shadow let out a low, miserable scream and collapsed to the ground. Only then did everyone realize that it was a Nightmare Batman created by the Riddler's power, completely black, with exposed fangs and hollow eye sockets.

The visitor was none other than Green Arrow, a member of the Justice League.

He sheathed his longbow, nodded to the young Titan and his companions as a greeting, then his gaze fell on Su Mo, scrutinizing him from head to toe, and asked, "Who are you?"

"Su Mo," Su Mo said succinctly, "I've been entrusted to save Batman and the multiverse."
