HP: Wizards at Hogwarts
Chapter 28 The End
Originally, Hagrid couldn't be blamed for the Black Lake freezing over, and leading the young wizards across the ice was a reasonable command. However, for some reason, Hagrid uttered the words "trial," causing a certain degree of panic among the students.
This is a very big problem.
If the Board of Governors really wants to investigate, Hagrid could very well be expelled from Hogwarts!
"Eleven, we have to help Hagrid."
Harry ignored Malfoy's taunts and went straight to Elaine.
"Don't worry, don't worry..."
Elaine laughed and said, "If the board of directors really blames me, I will explain to everyone that everything that happened tonight was my doing and that Hagrid will not be implicated."
Harry felt a little relieved, but then worried again: "But what if you get expelled?"
For Harry, Hagrid was the one who introduced him to the wizarding world, while Elaine was the first friend he made.
He wouldn't want anything to happen to either of them.
"That's true, then why don't you take the blame yourself?"
Elaine joked, "Anyway, you're the savior, everyone'll definitely give you face!"
"Emm..."
"Isn't there a better way?"
Clearly, Harry wasn't foolish enough to actually agree to this unrealistic proposal.
"Alright, don't feel embarrassed."
"After tonight, we'll be Hogwarts students. They don't expel students easily here!"
"Even if the school board personally puts pressure on us, Dumbledore will absolutely protect us. You must trust Dumbledore's influence!"
There was one more thing Elaine didn't say: even if he were expelled from Hogwarts, it wouldn't be a big deal.
It's worth noting that Hogwarts has only expelled two students in the last hundred years.
The one before that was Hagrid, and the one before that was Newt.
Harry nodded, then took off his glasses. "My glasses just broke again. Can you fix them for me?"
"certainly."
This time, Elaine didn't show off. Instead, he honestly took out his wand and properly used a healing spell.
While the two were talking, Hagrid carefully counted the number of people present.
"It looks like everyone's here. Now, come with me."
The troops began to move.
The young wizards left the boathouse and began climbing the stairs.
Having just experienced a "long march on ice," the young wizards are now finding every step extremely difficult, causing the procession to grow longer and longer.
Soon, Ron, Hermione, and Neville approached Harry and Elaine together.
Neville finally found his toad.
He tucked the Fu into his arms tightly, afraid that it would get lost again.
"Harry, thank you for helping me just now."
"You're welcome. We're all classmates, so helping each other is only right."
Elaine overheard their conversation and learned that Neville had accidentally fallen on the frozen lake, and Harry had helped him up.
"Harry helped more than just Neville."
"A lot of people slipped and fell just now, and Harry helped them get back up."
"Of course, I helped too."
"Everyone's so grateful to Harry now!" Ron exclaimed.
"Well done, Harry!"
"If any professor were here, they would definitely say, 'If you were enrolled now, I would definitely give your college a boost.'"
"Of course, there might be a few professors who say, 'It seems that our Mr. Potter really enjoys this game of playing the savior hero, always thinking that he is doing the right thing and taking pride in it.'"
If there were any older students present, they would have laughed and praised Elaine's impersonation, saying that his tone was exactly the same as the professor's.
Unfortunately, none of the people present had personally experienced the teachings of Hogwarts, so they had no way to compare.
"What are you talking about!"
"The first part sounded alright, but the rest... it's just too much!"
Hermione exclaimed, "I mean, Harry helped everyone, he did a good deed! The professors are praising him so much, how could he possibly say something like that? I don't believe it!"
Elaine shrugged indifferently: "Whatever."
Poor girl~
When you see Snape's attitude towards Harry later, you'll realize that my imitation is not even a tenth as good as the real thing.
The long ladder climbing session passed amidst everyone's laughter and cheers.
It took another ten minutes or so for everyone to arrive at the large platform outside the auditorium.
Professor McGonagall was already waiting outside the auditorium.
The strange changes at Black Lake made the old professor extremely worried about the safety of the new students. He couldn't sit in the auditorium and wait with peace of mind. He had to come outside and see the new students as soon as possible before he could feel at ease.
"Professor McGonagall, I have brought the new students here safely."
"I...I'm so sorry, because I made a very serious mistake!"
Hagrid approached Professor McGonagall, his face full of shame.
"We'll talk about these things later, Hagrid."
Professor McGonagall gently patted his arm, offering words of comfort.
"Anyway, thank you for your hard work on this trip."
Led by Professor McGonagall, the group entered the auditorium, went up the stairs, and gathered in the reception hall.
Once inside, the ambient temperature rises.
The young wizards' bodies began to warm up, and their faces gradually became rosy.
"Although some unexpected things happened during your journey, you are still welcome to Hogwarts."
Professor McGonagall looked at everyone and said, "The opening banquet is about to begin, but before you all take your seats in the restaurant, you must first confirm which college you will be attending."
"Classification is a very important rite because during your time at Hogwarts, your house will be like your home. You will attend classes with other students, live in the house dormitories, and spend your free time together in the house's common rooms..."
She began by introducing the four colleges, the College Cup, and the rules for adding and subtracting points.
However, perhaps noticing that the freshmen were exhausted and thirsty, Professor McGonagall chose to keep it brief.
"...The Sorting Ceremony will begin in a few minutes. I suggest you take the time to make yourselves look presentable while you wait."
After finishing her speech, Professor McGonagall turned and left.
The freshmen, meanwhile, stood there whispering among themselves, discussing the sorting ceremony they had heard about from others.
Harry was the first to seek help from Elaine.
"Eleven, you've gathered so much information in Diagon Alley, do you even know how Hogwarts sorts houses?"
Because Harry had just helped many people on the Black Lake, and given his reputation as the "Savior," many freshmen were now paying close attention to him.
Upon hearing him speak, the freshmen all shut their mouths and pricked up their ears to listen.
