HP: Wizards at Hogwarts

It's Friday.

On this day, Hufflepuff, a first-year student, had a lot of free time. He only had one flying lesson all day, and it was in the afternoon.

However, the other three colleges are different; they each have their own courses.

So in the morning, Elvin met up with Ernie, Justin, Hannah, and Susan. The five of them gathered at a small table in the Hufflepuff common room to discuss the club's recruitment plan.

Elaine first introduced the concept of the club to the group, and then shared his own ideas.

"Currently, I want to form four clubs: the 'Study Club' is a place for everyone to study and research magic together, the 'Sports Club' is a place for sports and fitness, the 'Art Club' is a place for researching music, painting, sculpture and other arts, and the last one, the 'Food Research Club,' is a place for researching food and cooking."

"Last night in the dining hall, Professor McGonagall told me that she had persuaded Professor Dumbledore to approve my application to form a club, and she even specially allocated a large, unused classroom to me on the second floor of the main tower."

"At the same time, Professor Dumbledore also promised to set aside a sum of money from Hogwarts' finances to purchase the equipment needed by these societies."

The four were surprised that Elaine's "club project" would grow to such a large scale, even requiring Hogwarts to cover the costs.

"Does setting up a club require a lot of money?"

Ernies were all children from pure wizarding families and had never attended school before Hogwarts, so they knew nothing about 'clubs'.

"Of course it costs money!"

Justin explained, "Sports require equipment, just like Quidditch requires a broomstick and three kinds of balls; studying music and art requires different instruments, brushes, and paints; and if you want to study food..."

Hannah quickly replied, "Then you'll need a lot of kitchen utensils, like a stove, spatulas, and seasonings."

"I hope there can be a 'wine tasting' category in the 'Food Research Club,' that way you might be able to get some wine from Leaky Cauldron!"

Susan was speechless: "Don't even dream about it, the professors would never let a young wizard drink alcohol!!"

Hannah was indignant and retorted loudly, "They only forbid younger wizards from drinking, but older wizards are definitely allowed to!"

In the UK, children as young as sixteen can buy beer and wine.

If the "Food Research Club" does allow young wizards to study or taste alcoholic beverages, it will only be open to wizards in the fifth grade and above.

Elaine did not delve further into the topic of "alcohol".

"Of the four clubs, the Sports Club, the Art Club, and the Food Research Club all need props. I compiled a list of what we need yesterday and gave it to Professor McGonagall along with the Club Formation Plan."

"But even if Professor Dumbledore agrees to this, the financial aspects may still require the approval of the Board of Trustees, and they may even need to provide the funds."

"By the time the process is complete and the necessary items are purchased and delivered, I don't know when it will be finished."

"Maybe next week, maybe next month, maybe six months from now!"

Elaine's few words were like a bucket of cold water poured on the group, instantly extinguishing their enthusiasm.

"It's just a simple approval process, a formality, why is it taking so long?"

"That's just the adult world!"

The others couldn't understand it, but they trusted Elaine's judgment.

"So... what do you plan to do? You also have a 'study club' in your plan!"

"That's right, it's the Study Club!"

Elaine gave Ernie an approving look. "The Study Club is the only club that doesn't need money or props. It doesn't have to wait for the Hogwarts Board of Governors to approve funding, so I want to set up the Study Club first."

"With a precedent set, everyone will have a reference point when they want to form a new club or run a club in the future, so they won't be completely clueless!"

This was the first time Elaine had ever formed a club.

He had no experience in recruiting people, scheduling events, or handling conflicts among members, so the "Learning Club" would be a great opportunity for him to practice.

"The purpose of the study group is to have senior students mentor new students, and high-achieving students mentor low-achieving students, so that everyone can come together to study, help each other with their homework, and conduct joint research outside of academics."

"Of course, as the president, I will also share my learning experience, improved spells, and so on with the members of the learning club."

Upon hearing this, everyone's faces lit up with joy.

"Elevit, do you want to be a professor?"

"More or less."

"It feels like it would be amazing!"

Although less than a week has passed since the start of the school year, they have already sensed that Elvin is quite different from the other wizards in his grade.

In Charms class, Elaine's "light show" using the "Fluorescence Charm" impressed even Professor Flitwick, who repeatedly stated that it was a skill that even seventh-year wizards and most graduates could not achieve.

In the Transfiguration class, Elaine was the only one who could recognize Professor McGonagall's true form, and he was also adept at Transfiguration.

All signs indicate that Elaine is a rare genius with magical talent that other young wizards can hardly match!

If I could follow Elaine and learn even a little bit from him, it would definitely benefit me!

"So, do you want to join?" Elaine looked at the four people in front of him, his face full of anticipation.

The four people's answers did not disappoint him.

"Of course I want to!"

"Isn't this just common sense!"

"Very good! Then I hereby declare the Study Club officially established!!"

After Elaine finished speaking, the four people present immediately burst into applause.

"And then? What do we do next?"

Ernie and Justin, true to their reputation as men who had acknowledged Elaine as their leader, immediately knew what to do.

This positive attitude made Elaine very pleased.

"Our next task, of course, is to expand our study group!"

Eleven straightened his back, raised his right hand high, and said with great enthusiasm, "I need you to use your strength and connections to go to different colleges and grades to promote the 'Learning Club' and attract more people to join."

"Hiring? That's easy!"

Hannah declared confidently, "The very name 'Study Club' is enough to attract many students—especially Ravenclaw students!"

Susan continued, "Besides, Elaine, you're a big name at Hogwarts now! Everyone will be so excited if they know you founded this club to help others!"

Ernie and Justin nodded in agreement.

"Yes, yes, not only are you the man who pulled out the Gryffindor sword, but you also defeated Professor Snape. Now everyone considers you a hero!!"

"Don't underestimate the power of 'heroes'!"
