HP: Wizards at Hogwarts
Chapter 94 Bonus Points
Chapter 94 Bonus Points
By the time the other three teams from the academy arrived, the troll had already been frozen for quite some time.
The Gryffindor prefects were gathered around Percy, asking him if he was hurt.
Professor McGonagall stood before the giant ice sculpture, carefully sensing the magic.
"Merlin's underwear!"
"Another ice sculpture?!"
"Was it Elaine who made the move?"
The Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff prefects started chattering excitedly.
The Slytherin prefects instinctively shuddered.
Clearly, this thing reminded them of an unpleasant incident that happened more than a month ago.
So they simply turned their attention to the Gryffindor prefects not far away.
"Hey, feed me—no way—"
"The six of you combined couldn't even handle a single giant monster?"
"They actually had to get Elaine to handle it personally?!"
"Tsk tsk tsk————"
"He's still the class monitor."
The Gryffindor prefects could hardly bear such ridicule.
Unfortunately, he couldn't find any strong words to refute her, so he could only lower his head and sulk.
Ignoring the young wizards' argument, the professors went together to the giant ice sculpture.
"Although I had heard that Elaine had a self-created 'Instant Freeze' spell, this is the first time I've seen it."
Professor Sprout tapped the ice sculpture with his hand.
Just by listening to the sound, she knew how powerful and stable the magic was.
"What incredible magic!"
"You know, ordinary magic can't do anything to a troll's skin!"
Professor McGonagall also let out a sigh of admiration.
Professor Flitwick also joined the discussion: "I studied this kind of ice when the Black Lake was frozen, but ordinary flames couldn't do anything with it; it's not afraid of high temperatures at all."
So much time has passed that the truth about the freezing of the Black Lake is no longer a secret among the professors.
"Perhaps some special potions would work."
"Snape, do you want to take it with you and study it?"
Snape glanced at the troll ice sculpture and said indifferently, "Not interested."
The group examined it for a while before finally letting go.
"Anyway, let's take the young wizards back to the dining hall and explain the situation to Dumbledore."

"What should we do with this giant monster?"
"Leave it here for now, and wait for Dumbledore to decide."
"It seems like this is the only way."
Before long, everyone returned to the cafeteria.
The professors gave Dumbledore a brief report on what had just happened.
The Gryffindor prefects, along with the other young wizards, recounted how they had fought the troll.
Of course, they embellished the story a little during the retelling process.
For example, even though the spell had no effect on the troll, they claimed that the troll was controlled by them for three seconds; even though the troll easily broke free of the chains, they claimed that the troll struggled to break free; even though the stick-hitting-the-head tactic only stunned the troll for a few seconds, they claimed that the troll was stunned for more than half a minute.
Then the group recounted various thrilling moments and how they adapted and turned danger into safety.
Such eloquent words stirred the hearts of the young wizards, making their eyes light up.
Elaine found it amusing but didn't step in to expose their lies.
It wasn't until the dinner was almost over that Dumbledore stood up again and spoke loudly.
"Tonight's dinner is a memorable one."
"Although a giant has appeared in our school, its appearance has shown me your growth in both strength and mentality."
"Children, I am so proud of you!"
Upon hearing this, the young wizards all smiled.
"Before the meeting adjourns, I have a few more things to announce."
"Given your excellent cooperation just now, each college will receive an additional 50 points!"
Sure enough, it's time for the bonus points!
The young wizards were all flushed with excitement, their blood boiling.
For many of them, this was the first time they had received bonus points.
Although it's a collective award, individual contributions are also indispensable.
Instantly, a strong sense of pride and collective honor arose within me.
Dumbledore continued, "Prefects of the four houses, for your following orders and engaging the troll, each of you receives 10 points!"
Upon hearing this, the Hufflepuff prefects immediately looked ashamed, the Slytherin prefects stiffened, and the Ravenclaw prefects shook their heads, not daring to look Dumbledore in the eye.
Their reaction was perfectly normal, considering they hadn't actually fought the giant at all.
Only the Gryffindor prefects smiled and high-fived each other, accepting the sixty points without hesitation.
"Next, I'd like to add another 10 points to each of the Gryffindor prefects for the exquisite tactics and teamwork they displayed in their battle against the trolls!"
At this point, the difference in reward points among the four colleges finally became apparent.
The students from other colleges were envious, but they knew it was only right, since they had encountered the troll first.
However, some people are still not convinced.
After all, if it had been a team from another college that encountered the giant monster first, then that college would have gotten the extra points.
The Gryffindor prefects were able to get extra points simply because they were lucky enough to encounter the troll first.
"Finally, I want to give extra points to Mr. Elavin Yakut!"
"Upon learning of the troll invasion, he remained calm and discovered a flaw in the thinking that even the professors had not considered. With his exceptional judgment, outstanding command ability, and strong control over the situation, he devised the most perfect wartime strategy, nipping the danger in the bud before it appeared. After discovering the troll, he arrived at the scene of the battle in time to end the troll."
"This series of performances earned him 150 points for his college!!"
The entire cafeteria erupted in thunderous applause.
Some people might disagree with Gryffindor getting extra points, but no one would disagree with Elaine getting extra points!
After all, their performance tonight was inseparable from their usual spell training, duel practice, and crisis simulations, and Elivin deserves much credit for this.
"Next, please have the prefects lead their students back to the common room."
"Unless absolutely necessary, please do not go out tonight."
After adding the points, Dumbledore announced some rather bad news for the young wizards.
The young wizards were about to wail when they heard this, but Dumbledore interrupted them first.
"I know you'll feel it's a shame to miss out on Halloween fun, but after all, there's only been a troll, and there might be other dangers at school."
"This arrangement was made for your safety!"
The young wizards felt it was a pity, but they couldn't disobey.
"but----"
Dumbledore's lips curled into a smile, and he changed the subject: "Given what happened tonight, classes will be suspended tomorrow."
"Furthermore, I grant you permission to continue the banquet after returning to the common lounge!"
"Have a good time tonight!"
