Chapter 223 Prehistoric Crocodile

Chapter 223 Prehistoric Giant Crocodile (Just kidding)

Mornings are very cold in high-latitude regions. Don't assume that summers will be hot just because it's warm in winter. In fact, the UK is relatively mild in winter and not too hot in summer.

There are still two days until the final, so it's not a big problem if it's a little cold in the morning; we can just stay indoors.

Besides, everyone was well prepared for this situation, and they brought enough clothes, so they weren't worried about the temperature change.

There's only one fool who's dressed lightly, and that's Kristastha, who's unfamiliar with the temperature—but as a red dragon, temperature changes don't really concern her.

Although they are not as heat-resistant as the black dragon, a change of tens of degrees is still no different for them.

Louis was used to this kind of situation; after all, he couldn't control what the Dragon Maid did.

Wizards are quite enthusiastic about camping, especially the Weasleys. Aunt Molly woke everyone up early in the morning to discuss where to have a picnic.

"I think that lake in the distance is nice, what do you think?" Mr. Weasley suggested.

Sirius chuckled and joked, "That's certainly a good suggestion, Arthur. If we walk quickly, we might be able to get there by tomorrow night."

"Why don't we go on a flying broomstick?" Emma asked, chewing on her bread.

"You're new here, so you might not be aware," Mr. Weasley explained patiently. "We're on Muggle territory now, and to avoid causing any unnecessary trouble, it's best if we keep a low profile. What do you think?"

"That's true, but the lakeside is really fun. If we're far away, no one will bother us." Emma nodded. "But aren't there people from the Ministry of Magic covering our retreat? It's just riding a flying broomstick once..."

Mr. Weasley firmly shook his head, indicating that he could not.

Seeing how much his mother longed to go to the lake, Louis's eyes lit up: "Actually, I have a car here, we can drive there..."

“Driving is certainly possible,” Mr. Weasley nodded, then posed a crucial question: “So here’s the problem: there are nearly twenty of us, but only one car, Louis…”

"You probably don't know what a bus is like in the Muggle world, my Uncle Arthur," Louis said with a grin. "It can hold over thirty people... Even if the road conditions are bad, it doesn't matter. We can use a little magic when no one's looking, can't we?"

Mr. Weasley thought about it for a moment and finally nodded in approval of Lewis's proposal.

Young people are always active, especially when they see new things they've never seen before. The Weasley children had been looking around constantly ever since they got on the bus. Harry and Hermione, on the other hand, didn't find it particularly interesting; after all, they grew up in the Muggle world and were quite used to such things.

Kristasa was driving. I don't know where she learned her driving skills, but she was very steady and skillful. In just over an hour, she drove from the camp to the lake, which was more than 100 kilometers away.

The main advantage is the speed boost from magic; everything else is minor. Besides, with the red dragon and bronze dragon on board, there's no fear of crashing into a tree.

You won't encounter the unpleasant situation of "a pig running into a tree, or you running into a pig."

The lakeside was covered with lush green grass, perfect for picnics. The lake was very calm, with only ripples from the breeze. The water was exceptionally clear in the breeze. Louis lay on the grass by the lake, watching the three little ones running and playing wildly, and felt a sense of peace for no reason.

"What are you looking at?" Catherine walked over and sat down next to him.

"Watching them run around and play," Louis said, crossing his legs. "Actually, having a few kids is pretty good, don't you think?"

Catherine paused for a moment, then lightly punched Louis: "Go have a baby with Aunt Liv, I haven't graduated yet, it's a bit too early to be thinking about this..."

"It's getting late, Little Moon." Louis clicked his tongue. "You'll graduate in two more years, won't you? Have you decided where you'll go after graduation?"

"This... I really hadn't thought about it..." Catherine paused for a moment, then said, "My results in this year's OWLs were pretty good, so... do you need me to go to the Ministry of Magic?"

"I need you to stay with me, baby." Louis's aggressive gaze swept over Catherine, pulling her down onto the grass. "Actually, watching them play over there, I suddenly remembered a famous scene."

"What famous scene?" Catherine asked with great interest.

Louis coughed twice and explained, "Generally speaking, monster horror movies from the US like to be set by lakes like this, for example..." Louis thought for a moment, realizing it was only 1994 and that terrible movie about prehistoric crocodiles hadn't been released yet, so he quickly changed his tune, "I forgot which movie I saw it in, but we can look for it when we get back."

"Hmph, you just love thinking about these things at times like this..." Catherine wrinkled her delicate nose, expressing her slight displeasure at Louis's spoilsport.

Louis sat up and chuckled, "You know what? I'm not only going to think about it, but I'm also going to make it a little harder for them..."

As he spoke, Louis began to call out to Chromie.

"Chromie! Chromie!"

Chromie was sitting in a chair eating ice cream when Louis called him. He looked up impatiently and asked, "What is it? Get to the point!"

"Come here for a second!" Louis beckoned.

Chromie sighed and strode briskly over to Louis.

"Speak quickly if you have something to say." Her expression was somewhat impatient. Dragons are always protective of their food, and they would always be unhappy if Louis interrupted their meal.

Louis whispered in her ear, "Do you have any crocodiles, the kind native to Azeroth? Think of one, a big one, and harmless, just a little scary. Do you have any? I remember the Darkmoon Faire has a lot of lifelike animal balloons."

"What are you going to do?" Chromie glanced at him warily.

Louis chuckled and said, "Seeing that they were having a lot of fun, I thought I'd give them a little challenge and let them experience the awe-inspiring power of little Azeroth."

Chromie paused for a moment upon hearing this, glanced at Louis, and pursed her lips: "I've realized, having a friend like you is really bad luck, the worst luck imaginable..."

"Just tell me if you want to see it?" Louis glanced sideways at her.

"It should be quite interesting," Chromie said, opening a portal filled with quicksand. A moment later, she was back.

"How is it?" Louis asked.

Chromie gave him an OK sign, plopped down next to him, and started waiting to see what would happen.

By the lake, Harry was having a water fight with Ron. He was laughing happily. This must be the first time he had ever had a water fight with someone in a lake since he was a child—heaven knows how his cousin Dudley had dealt with him the first time he went to the lake—he didn't dare to fight back. If he did, his Uncle Vernon and Aunt Petunia would definitely not feed him and would scold him.

But things are different now, now...

He looked at Ron, who was dumbfounded, and wondered if he had poured water into his good brother's head.

"What's wrong, Ron? What's wrong with you?" he said, splashing a handful of water on Ron again.

Ron stared wide-eyed as Harry splashed water at him, and only after a long while did he shakily point his hand at Harry.

At least that's Harry's perspective.

"What's wrong, Ron?" Harry asked again.

"Harry..." Ron whispered in alarm, reaching into his pocket for his wand, but finding nothing—he had given it to Hermione for safekeeping when he took off his clothes for swimming.

Harry realized something was wrong and turned around abruptly, only to see two vertical yellow snake eyes.

Upon closer inspection, it was a gaping maw filled with sharp, white teeth. Harry reacted quickly, dashing away a great distance in a flash, not forgetting to take Ron with him as he ran.

"Aaaaaaahhhhhh..." The two screamed and ran towards the shore. Fortunately, others saw what happened. Sirius grabbed his wand and rushed towards the lake. When he reached the lake, he pointed his wand at the crocodile and cast a scarlet curse.

Harry didn't hear what spell Sirius threw, but he heard a loud bang behind him. When he turned around, he saw the crocodile blown to pieces by Sirius's spell.

Chao is a balloon.

"My God, who put balloons in this lake?" Ron said, still shaken.

Louis was laughing so hard he was doubled over. The two brothers were just too funny. When Harry ran in the lake, his movements were as cute as a platypus.

"Is it you two?" Ron looked up at his two good brothers.

"Pah, slandering an innocent person like that." George snorted, expressing his disdain for Ron's judgment.

"It must be Louis. You can see it now. He's laughing the most here," Fred said, laughing so hard that Ron could almost see the bacteria in his stomach.

"I can only see you and George laughing the most here," Ron said angrily. However, he knew that his two older brothers certainly didn't have the ability to do it. After all, the balloon was too realistic. Apart from Louis, no one else here could make such a realistic balloon.

At that moment, Louis stretched out his arm and shouted, "Hey Ron, do you like my big alligator?"

"Get lost!" Ron gave Louis the universally recognized hand gesture, and Louis smiled even more broadly.

"That bastard." Harry spat, wondering whether he should get revenge.

He remembered that the Weasley twins were also masters of pranks, so he asked in a low voice, "Fred, George, do you two have any prank toys?"

"Are you going to mess with Louis?" The twins became interested. They exchanged a glance, then looked at Louis, who was chatting with Catherine. They opened their clothes and, like West Coast dealers, began to promote their good brother's goods.

"See that? That's a dung bomb. Just one, pia... and Louis will stink for a whole day." George pointed to the gadgets hanging on Fred's clothes. "Look, this one, this is a 'fat tongue toffee,' it can make a person's tongue swell up. And this over there is a 'hard-to-pull firework,' a high-quality item we got our hands on, the kind you can hold and fire at people..."

"Is there anything less obvious?" Harry adjusted his glasses and asked in a low voice, also wanting to get revenge.

"Then I'll recommend this one, a product highly recommended by your two older brothers." George pulled out a pair of binoculars: "Punching binoculars. They look like binoculars, but they're actually a prank device. When used, a fist will pop out and punch you. It's suitable for unsuspecting people."

"Oh?" Harry became interested, took the binoculars, and looked around furtively. Seeing that no one was paying attention to him, he walked over to Louis's side.

"Hey, Louis," Harry greeted him with a smile.

Louis glanced at him and knew the kid wasn't up to any good. He smiled and greeted him, "Hey Harry, fun in the lake? Like my big crocodile?"

Harry's face darkened, but remembering his grand plan, he suppressed the urge to complain. He moved closer to Louis and began to make small talk: "Louis, don't you think this lake is quite beautiful?"

Seeing that he was beating around the bush and not getting to the point, Louis was happy to go around in circles with him: "The weather is indeed very sunny today, just as you said, Harry."

"Isn't the lake over there pretty?" Harry hesitated for a long time before finally managing to utter this sentence.

"Yes," Louis chuckled to himself.

Harry finally revealed his true colors: "Look over there, in the middle of the lake, I just saw a real crocodile. It looked huge. Louis, I think we should leave here? Maybe we should go somewhere else?"

"You're nearsighted, how did you see that?" Louis scoffed. "I don't believe you."

Harry pulled out his binoculars and handed them to Louise: "Look, this is the binoculars I'm using. It's over there."

As he spoke, to emphasize the truthfulness of his words, Harry pointed to the center of the lake in the distance.

Louise picked up the binoculars, looked around, stood up, and walked towards Hermione.

Harry's heart skipped a beat. He thought to himself, "Oh no, has Louis found out?" He quickly followed Louis to see what he was going to do.

Ron and the Weasley twins, along with Bill and Charlie, all saw what Louis and Harry were doing and, out of curiosity, they gathered around.

Then Louise found Hermione and handed her the telescope.

"Harry just said there's a crocodile in the middle of the lake, but I didn't see it. Take a look and see if he's lying to me." Louis handed the binoculars to Hermione and then gave Harry a tongue-lock.

"Oh? Really?" Hermione didn't suspect anything. She glanced at Harry, who was shaking his head frantically, and then at Louis, who looked sincere. She didn't think it was a prank. She thought that Harry was shaking his head frantically because he was afraid of the crocodile and that it would scare him.

Thinking of this, Hermione felt a little warmth in her heart. She smiled and held the telescope up to her eyes.
