I'm the King of Curry at Hogwarts

Chapter 237 Dark Gold Fire Serpent

Chapter 237 Dark Gold Fire Serpent (bushi)

In fact, not only Mr. Ramsay, but also the local police officers and officials from the Ministry of Magic thought this was outrageous.

You say you only seduce livestock and not people, what have people done to you? In this sweltering heat, I feel chilled to the bone, my hands and feet are freezing. Can this world ever get any better?

"This is the second mystery," Louis said in a deep voice. "This afternoon, we went to Sterling's farm and found that their livestock had died in a strange manner; they had all been drained of their blood—but there wasn't a single trace of blood on the ground..."

"This..." Mr. Ramsey gasped. To be honest, it was indeed a bit outrageous.

He remained silent for a long time, his facial muscles twitching slightly, as if he were recalling something terrible.

Louis, of course, noticed his expression and asked with concern, "What's wrong, Mr. Ramsey?"

Mr. Ramsey sighed and said slowly, "We experienced something similar back in Myanmar; it was terrifying..."

As he spoke, his hands began to tremble involuntarily.

"Don't be nervous, speak slowly," Louis comforted him.

Mr. Ramsey's expression softened slightly. After a moment, he continued, "It was the day before the counter-offensive in Burma. When the troops were assembling, E Company under the K Regiment failed to assemble on time. Someone rushed over in a panic, saying that something had happened to E Company. We all went to their camp to check, and... we found that the entire company was dead in extremely gruesome conditions, just as the young master had described. There were no signs of resistance, as if they had been drained of their blood. They looked like mummies in a museum..."

At this point, Mr. Ramsey pressed his hand to his chest, taking deep breaths of fresh air to try and calm himself down: "Later, the Commander-in-Chief ordered a news blackout, forbidding any of us from revealing anything to the outside world, lest it undermine morale. Fortunately, only Easy Company was attacked."

"After the war ended, we realized how lucky we were. Apart from Easy Company, the entire Indian battalion stationed nearby was wiped out the next day. We were lucky to leave in time, otherwise we would have been the ones to suffer the next day..." Mr. Ramsey sighed.

"So... what happened to those guys from Easy Company?" Hermione asked curiously. Seeing everyone looking at her, she said somewhat embarrassedly, "Sorry, I was just curious how they handled it back then..."

"What else could we do? We'd just report it as a death in battle. In those days, such deaths weren't unusual. Perhaps you young people living in this era don't understand the brutality of the Japanese." Mr. Ramsey shuddered. "Honestly, I'd rather be inexplicably drained to death by these mysterious things than fall into the hands of the Japanese. Back in the Bataan Death March in the US, those survivors were tortured to the point that they weren't much fatter than those who were drained dry..."

"You may not have heard, but the President of the United States, Old Bush, was shot down while piloting a bombing mission. He was lucky to be rescued in time, but his comrades were not so lucky. They were captured by the Japanese soldiers on the island and made into sashimi alive..." Mr. Ramsey said, then gagged, seemingly disgusted by the brutality of the Japanese.

Hermione's face contorted, and she wrinkled her nose as she asked, "No...no, how could anyone be so cruel? Good heavens...I just can't imagine..."

"Good girl, there's more to it than that," Mr. Ramsey continued. "His comrade's liver was taken out alive and cut into pieces by the Japanese officers on the island to serve with their drinks... I think that's why Old Bush vomited at the state banquet when he was on a visit to the countryside back then..."

"This is something no human could do!" Hermione suddenly exclaimed.

"Clearly, they are not human, but a herd of beasts," Mr. Ramsey said viciously, then sighed, "Unfortunately, this nation is too good at packaging itself. Fifty years have passed, and too many young people, because they do not understand, have been deceived by their exquisite packaging and have gradually lost their vigilance."

"Sigh." Louis sighed, prompting everyone in the room to sigh as well.

"We've gotten a bit off-topic," Mr. Ramsey said somewhat dejectedly. "Sorry, as people get older, they tend to ramble on about things from the past..."

"It's alright, Grandpa Ramsay," Hermione comforted him. "You were an excellent anti-Frost fighter, and we loved hearing about your past."

"Good girl, good girl..." Ramsay pursed his lips and nodded repeatedly to show his approval of Hermione.

After chatting for a while, Louis said, "Mr. Ramsey, we'll be staying with you for a while longer until that mysterious creature launches its next attack, what do you think...?"

"No problem. Even if you're just here to investigate a case, let alone the old commander's son, I have no reason to refuse," Mr. Ramsey said cheerfully. "There are plenty of rooms upstairs for all of you."

"Okay, then I'll take care of you," Louis said with a smile.

"It is my honor, esteemed young master," Mr. Ramsay said with great pleasure.

The maid led them upstairs and assigned them three rooms according to their needs. Mr. Ramsay had originally thought Hermione and Catherine would share a room, Louis would have a room by himself, and the two little boys, Ron and Harry, would share a room. But he never expected that young people these days would play such elaborate games. It turned out that Louis and Catherine would share a room, Hermione and Ron would share a room, and lonely Harry would have a room by himself.

Harry's gaze toward the two couples carried a hint of resentment.

"It's okay, Harry. We won't laugh at you for being a temporary bachelor. Think of Ginny over there, family." Ron laughed heartlessly, though with a hint of sarcasm.

Louis burst out laughing. It seemed Ron was really getting carried away, actually managing to mock others.

Louis didn't sleep much that night, instead sitting by the window keeping watch, observing any unusual activity on the estate. However, he miscalculated; he didn't find anything amiss until dawn, not even a single eagle had passed over the farm.

This was really strange. He called the nearby police station again, but the result was the same as before: no case had occurred.

"It seems the perpetrator was just after food," Louis said to Catherine in a low voice, then called Solanlian again and received the same result.

No further cases have occurred in the wizarding world.

Left with no other option, Louis decided to stay there temporarily, hoping to catch something unexpected. He had intended to give Mr. Ramsey some money for lodging, but the old man refused to accept it under any circumstances.

After all, he's the old commander's grandson; we have to give him that much face.

Louis couldn't refuse, so he had no choice but to accept the old man's kindness.

Louis already knew that his grandfather had a lot of influence, having encountered a similar situation when he and Catherine went hiking before.

He'd been living here for a week, and with the start of school fast approaching, there was still no progress. Louis wanted to explore somewhere, but it was like trying to eat a pumpkin without knowing where to start.

However, the others were not idle. Hermione kept flipping through books, checking if there were any precedents for similar situations, but the only information she could get was that vampires were the only option.

But it was quickly rejected by everyone. Just kidding, this guy doesn't suck on people at all, he only likes to suck on animals... Could he be a vampire?

That evening, after casting another spell on the window, Louis sat by it, carefully observing every plant and tree on the farm. Catherine, on the bed, leaned against the headboard, perusing documents. The room was so quiet that even the sound of Catherine turning the pages could be clearly heard.

Louis yawned. After staying up for so many days, even with energy potions, he would still feel sleepy, not physically, but mentally.

"Aren't you going to sleep yet?" Louis asked in a low voice.

Catherine shook her head, gently pressed her index finger to her cherry-red lips, and then rested it on the page to continue turning the pages.

After a while, she put down the thick book, draped a coat over her shoulders, and walked to the window.

"You've worked hard, little deer." Catherine stroked Louis's soft hair and leaned down to give him a deep kiss on the cheek.

"It's alright." Although Louis longed to get closer to Catherine after so long, he dared not be careless, as there were things outside that could come in and wreak havoc at any moment.

"Just two more days, and school starts," Catherine said softly. "If it doesn't appear again in the next two days, then..."

She was halfway through her sentence when she felt a warmth on her lips; Louis's hand was pressed against her lips.

"Shh, don't talk." Louis held up his index finger to make a shushing gesture, staring intently out the window.

Sure enough, in the pitch-black shadows, a black figure was moving swiftly.

Catherine and Louise, being of one mind, knew exactly what was going on. They didn't ask any questions, but quietly went back to the bedside to change their clothes. Then, they nimbly left the room to wake the three little ones.

She walked to Ron and Hermione's house, and with a gentle tap of her slender fingers, the Alohomora Gate activated. The lock clicked softly, and Catherine pushed the door open.

The three little ones were still awake, huddled together at the table reading. When they saw Catherine come in, Ron was about to speak when Hermione covered his mouth.

"Keep your voice down. Catherine must have found out something by now that she's here," Hermione whispered a warning.

Ron nodded, and Hermione then released him.

"Get ready, put on your shoes. Hermione and I will stay here to protect Mr. Ramsay. Harry and Ron, you two prepare to go with Louis!" Catherine commanded, her voice low but brooking no argument.

The three children nodded in unison. Hermione and Catherine, wearing invisibility cloaks, quietly went downstairs, while Ron and Harry went to Lewis's room.

"Are your wands ready?" Louis asked them as soon as he saw them approaching.

"Yes!" The two nodded in unison, exchanging a glance and both seeing the intense excitement burning in each other's eyes.

Using invisibility cloaks and the Silent Charm, the three slowly made their way toward the farm's cowshed.

The night was pitch black, there was no moon tonight, and the farm was practically pitch black. Using the dim light, Louis and his group made their way to the outer edge of the cowshed.

As soon as they got closer, they heard the sound of large gulps of food being swallowed.

Ron and Harry have remarkably good mental fortitude. Most people their age would have been trembling with fear, but instead of trembling, they were in a state of extreme excitement.

Well, as expected of Gryffindor, in terms of courage, Gryffindor never lost to anyone in their entire lives.

Just like Junhao (bushi).

The lights in the cowshed were extremely dim, but Louis could vaguely see three men in black cloaks, each of them lying on a cow, greedily sucking its blood.

Louis stretched out his hand and gestured in sign language: "I'm going over there. When I make my move, you all make your move together."

Harry pulled his hand out from under his cloak and made an OK sign.

Louis went to the chicken coop again and, sure enough, saw two cloaked monsters eating chickens—no, it was more like they were drinking chicken blood than eating chickens.

"Stupefy!" Louise drew his wand and shouted. The cloaked monster, who was drinking chicken blood, was caught off guard and hit squarely. He passed out before he could even scream and was unconscious.

The cloaked monster's companion, holding a live chicken, seemed oblivious to what was happening. While they were still stunned, two clear shouts echoed from the nearby cowshed.

"Reducto! (Crushed to pieces!)"

"Expelliarmus! (Expelliarmus!)"

Without a doubt, Ron is the one who will be smashed to pieces, while Harry is the one who will be annihilated by weapons.

At this moment, the cloaked monster also reacted. He dropped the live chicken, shook his cloak, and rushed towards Louis at high speed. However, halfway through the run, he felt as if he were flying. His perspective was constantly rotating, and he felt as if his body was floating. With another rotation, he saw a body wearing a black cloak still in a running posture, but the head was gone. Blood gushed out of the cavity like a fountain, spraying high into the air.

"It's my body..." The last thought flashed through his mind, followed by endless darkness.

As for what he saw when he woke up in the darkness, that remains unknown.

Louis waved his wand, binding the cloaked monster who had been knocked unconscious, and then he quickly ran to Harry's side to help.

Harry and Ron usually perform exceptionally well in class, especially in practical situations where they consistently achieve perfect scores. However, Louis is not taking any chances; he doesn't want anything to happen to his two good friends.

He had run halfway when he felt the whole world light up—no, it turned a deep blue. He quickly looked towards the direction of the house and saw a bright blue fire snake poking its head out of the window, menacingly flicking its tongue at a black cloak-clad figure in front of it.
