Chapter 238 Heart-Piercing Bone-Cutting

Chapter 238 Heart-Piercing Bone-Cutting

Looking at the ferocious-looking fire serpent, Louis knew that Catherine had most likely been attacked.

However, the real concern isn't Catherine, but rather those cloaked monsters.

Why say "several" instead of "one"? That's a question for the clumps of ashes in front of the fire serpent.

Inside the house, Mr. Ramsay gazed at the roaring fire serpent in mid-air as if on a pilgrimage, momentarily forgetting that he was still under threat.

The fiery serpent was incredibly cool, with faint lightning crackling within it, adding to its solemnity. Mr. Ramsey clutched his collar tightly, his other hand pressed against his chest, panting heavily.

The reason was simple: the scene was far too frightening for a Muggle who had never seen magic before, so much so that it reminded him of the Hood's explosion when its ammunition magazine was hit.

Catherine is a very obedient woman. Ever since Louis mentioned to her that the green Fiery Blaze wasn't pretty, she has intentionally changed its color. Now, the Fiery Blaze is just like Grindelwald's gas stove back then, a bright blue, very cool and stylish.

Furthermore, she incorporated the lightning magic she learned into Fiendfire, making her Fiendfire Master after Grindelwald.

Out of respect for Louise, Grindelwald also taught her his signature move—Fiercefire Protection. In short, dealing with these cloaked monsters was like using a cannon to kill a mosquito—it was a bit of a dimensional reduction attack.

Harry and Ron used the Levitation Charm to control the two captured cloaked monsters, which floated over to the area and then ruthlessly slammed them to the ground.

After confirming that the three of them were bound, Louis walked up to the three cloaked monsters and used a spell to lift their cloaks.

Contrary to expectations, the three men's faces were exactly like those of humans. If one had to point out the difference, it would be that their complexions were too pale, making them look unlike normal humans.

Furthermore, their appearances were far too effeminate. One of the younger, cloaked figures, who looked about the same age as Harry, cowered in fear, tears and snot streaming down his face, clearly terrified by Catherine.

"Tell me, what are you people?" Louis asked, frowning and speaking in an unfriendly tone.

The three cloaked monsters huddled together, shivering like a litter of frightened rabbits.

In fact, they look quite similar to some kind of rabbit, excessively effeminate.

Seeing that they remained silent, Louis flicked his wand, summoning a massive blue lightsaber, which he then turned downwards and planted in the ground.

The three cloaked monsters shuddered again.

"You, you go first." Louis pointed his lightsaber at the cloaked monster on the far left.

The cloaked monster shuddered, trembling and unable to utter a single word.

Louis frowned, looking at the three of them with some impatience. After a while, he turned around and said in a flat tone, "Cut him. Harry, drag him out."

"Alright." Harry followed suit, flicking his wand to summon a lightsaber. With Ron's help, he used the Levitation Charm to move the trembling cloaked monster aside. Harry then swiftly and cleanly severed the unfortunate creature's fragile neck.

The trio, having been tempered by the world of Dark Souls, are far more decisive and efficient than the trio from the original timeline. They have less of that playful banter and are absolutely ruthless when it comes to taking action.

The cloaked monster's head had fallen off, but no blood gushed from its cavity. The head rolled a few times on the ground, its mouth still opening and closing. Harry went over and cleaved the still-gritting head in two with another stroke, and only then did blood flow from the body, soaking the ground beneath it.

The fact that they survived being beheaded was enough to prove that these creatures were evil. Harry felt no guilt whatsoever; on the contrary, he felt a great sense of accomplishment.

"And you, are you going to talk or not?" Louis's wand pointed at the cloaked monster on the other side.

The cloaked monster looked very spirited. Although his body was trembling and limp, he had an air of unyielding defiance, like an American prisoner of war captured by the German devils.

Louis, not wanting to waste words, waved for Harry to drag him out. With a swift stroke, the "Unyielding" cloaked monster was cleaved in two.

"And you?" Louis then looked at the young, cloaked figure in the middle.

The cloaked boy swallowed hard, stammering and trembling, "I...I...we are vampires..."

"Vampires?" Louis asked, frowning. "Don't vampires drink human blood? When did they switch to drinking animal blood?"

"We... well, our father thinks that drinking human blood is too troublesome and too addictive. Drinking only animal blood won't attract a large-scale search or much attention..." The vampire boy swallowed again, his face tearful, and said, "Please, sir, I've really never drunk human blood..."

"You think you can just say no?" Louis laughed, nudging the boy's shoulder with his long-handled wand, and asked with a smile, "Tell me, did you guys orchestrate the Sterling Farm incident?"

"Yes..." the boy replied listlessly, "We didn't intend to be enemies with Mr. Sterling; we just planned to feed on some livestock. But he discovered us, brandished a gun, shouted at us, and fired at us. We had no choice but to knock him unconscious..."

"But the Sterlings are both dead," Louis said, squinting and questioning in a hostile tone.

The boy stammered, his voice trembling and on the verge of tears, "I'm sorry, sir, we really didn't want to hurt him..."

"Whether you want to or not is not up to you," Louis said with a sneer. He looked up at Catherine, then at the cowshed not far away. "Buying something for free on someone else's farm is wrong in itself; and after being discovered, instead of running away, you retaliated—that's shameless..."

"He fired first..." the boy argued.

"Oh, still pretending to be a victim." Louis's smile was disdainful. He grinned, revealing a sinister smile: "I'll give you one last chance. You have to tell me the truth."

"I... I was telling the truth..." the boy continued to argue.

Hermione couldn't bear to watch any longer. For a moment, her heart softened. She walked over to Louis, tugged at his sleeve, and whispered, "Louis... what he said might be true..."

"How did you know?" Louis turned around and looked at Hermione with amusement, thinking to himself, why is this woman suddenly acting like a saint at this time?

"I...I don't think people lie when they're extremely scared..." Hermione said in a low voice, but her voice sounded a little weak.

"You know what, Hermione," Louise reached out and stroked her fluffy head, speaking softly, "today I'm going to teach you a lesson... to show you what the wickedness of the human heart is, and to make you understand that you can never trust the creatures of the dark."

Hermione paused, glancing at the pale, frail boy, then at Louis. Sympathy for the weak is human nature, especially for a saintly type like Hermione…

The boy seemed to realize Hermione was pleading for him, and he scrambled towards her, tears and snot streaming down his face, begging, "Beautiful and sparkly lady, please, please save me..."

"Well, it seems you won't learn your lesson until you see the coffin." Louis stood up, brushed his hands, and said with a sneer, "It seems you're unaware of the current level of human technology. No gunshot residue was found on Mr. Sterling's hands, and there were no spent shell casings at the scene."

Hermione was startled. She stared wide-eyed at the boy, took two steps back in disbelief, and the sympathy and pity in her eyes vanished, replaced by extreme disgust.

The vampire boy took advantage of her kindness. Hermione clenched her fists tightly and strode back to Ron and Harry.

Ron put his hand on Hermione's shoulder, squeezed it gently, and kissed her on the head, whispering comfortingly, "It's okay, Hermione. Kindness isn't your fault; it's just that bad people always know how to take advantage of other people's kindness."

"Ron..." Hermione sighed, her heart filled with self-reproach.

She's now starting to doubt herself, wondering if her kindness is wrong, if she's been too much of a pushover. She feels that if she just plays the victim, people will subconsciously believe her.

Hermione lowered her head, biting her lip as she pondered life.

Louis seemed to have lost his patience. He pulled a small bottle of liquid from his pocket and said dejectedly, "Sigh, I didn't expect things to come to this. This bottle contains Truth Potion... You should know, a magical potion from the wizarding world. Just a tiny drop, and... *pop*..."

Louis stretched out his hands in a gesture of explosion: "You'll spill everything like beans from a bamboo tube, telling me everything you know, even the color of your underwear today, you'll tell me without reservation..."

The boy stared wide-eyed at the bottle in Louis's hand in disbelief. After a long while, he slumped down, resignedly curling into a ball.

He knew what his fate would be, and now, his mind was filled with despair.

"But some procedures still need to be followed." Louis smiled bloodthirstyly. "You know, I hate people who lie to me the most... Crucio!"

Crimson lightning shot from Louis's fingertips and struck the boy. The boy then arched his body repeatedly, then straightened up like a shrimp, his facial muscles contorted to the extreme. Clearly, he was enduring immense pain.

"Ah—ah—" he screamed frantically, "Kill me...kill me!"

Ignoring the still screaming boy, Louis heard the long-lost system notification sound in his ear.

Hermione couldn't stand it anymore, so she raised her hand and choked the boy.

It's the enhanced version; that guy's mouth has disappeared, and he can only mumble "uh-huh" in a muffled voice.

"There are consequences for doing bad things, and you, my little sir, are you prepared to pay the price for your bad deeds?" Louis put his hands in his pockets and looked at the young vampire who was still writhing and struggling in front of him with a leisurely air.

The vampire boy was still struggling in agony. Louis shook his head and said with pity, "This is to teach you a lesson. It's one thing to lie to me, but to lie to a kind witch like Hermione—doesn't your conscience hurt?"

To be honest, there aren't many good girls like Hermione these days, and Louise really felt a bit indignant on her behalf.

The veins on the young vampire boy's neck bulged, and large beads of sweat streamed down his face and neck. After about ten minutes, Louis stopped casting the spell.

"Here, give him the truth serum." Louis tossed the truth serum to Ron.

Ron stepped forward and fed the boy, who was so exhausted that he was delirious, a dose of truth serum.

"Speak, tell me everything you know." Louis smiled, but in the vampire boy's eyes, he was nothing less than the most terrifying demon in the world.

After the drug took effect, Ron released him, and Louis asked with a smile, "Name?"

"Griezmann," the young vampire Griezmann said blankly.

Louis asked again, "Tell me, why did you suck the blood of the farm animals?"

"Our father said that drinking human blood is too troublesome and too addictive. If we only drink from livestock, it won't alert humans, and there won't be a large-scale search or much attention..." Griezmann said honestly.

"It seems your story is a mix of truth and falsehood," Louis chuckled. "Why are you attacking Mr. Sterling?"

"Because he discovered our identities," Griezmann replied quickly.

"Why?" Louis asked, frowning. "I don't want to hear that answer. I want to know why—does he know you?"

Griezmann's expression twisted slightly, but he still honestly said, "Mr. Sterling donated a lot of money and clothing to our orphanage, and we even visited his farm... But what he didn't know was that our orphanage was turned into a vampire a few years ago, and the livestock that kept going missing from their home was what we did..."

At this point, Griezmann's expression of reluctance and guilt flashed by, quickly returning to a state of numbness.

"You beast!" Hermione roared. If Ron hadn't stopped her, she probably would have given Griezmann a Cruciatus Curse too.
