I'm the King of Curry at Hogwarts

Chapter 25 The So-Called Genius

Chapter 25 The So-Called Genius

"Yes, Your Highness. Search 𝐆𝐨𝐨𝐠𝐥𝐞 for 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝟓𝟐𝟎.𝐜𝐨𝐦◆" The two agreed without hesitation.

Louis tapped the armrest of the sofa lightly with his fingers: "Draft a list first, and give it to me by tonight at the latest."

"Yes."

Inside the dormitory, Draco was lying on his bed, kicking his legs idly. When he saw Louis walk in, he quickly got up to greet him. Louis didn't answer, but just stared at him and sneered repeatedly.

We need to settle that score from yesterday.

"What's wrong, Louis?" Draco asked, somewhat uneasy. His roommate's smile was too strange.

"You did something really important yesterday."

Louis imitated Snape's slow, deliberate tone, and surprisingly, it worked really well; Draco's little face immediately fell.

"Huh?" Draco exclaimed in shock.

"You were quite active in Defense Against the Dark Arts class yesterday..." Louis chuckled, drawing his wand under Draco's horrified gaze. "Let me think... front teeth like a big stick, a fiery roast, or a wide grin—which would you prefer?"

"If possible..." Draco swallowed hard, "I don't want to choose any of them."

"Then you'll have to give me a reasonable explanation." Louis sat opposite Draco, leisurely toying with his wand.

Draco swallowed hard, like Jerry the mouse, and asked fearfully, "Then...then I'll do anything you want, just don't cast any evil spells on me, please..."

Draco is a total coward.

"Really anything?" Louis raised an eyebrow.

"Anything is fine!" Draco said with a look of heroic sacrifice.

"Alright." Louis patted Draco's thigh: "The school needs to draft some new regulations, and from now on... the first year of Slytherin will be under your supervision."

"Me?" Draco was taken aback, then overjoyed: "Ah... I had no idea what it was about. Don't worry, Louis."

"This looks easy, but don't mess it up." Louis stood up and patted him on the shoulder. "Don't let me down... Let's go eat."

"Okay," Draco replied happily.

Today was another day of self-discipline for Louis. He tapped his plate, and the house-elves served him a special nutritious meal. This was a privilege reserved for young Master Mountbatten, Aslo explained to Professor McGonagall.

Very self-righteous.

Harry and Ron weren't in the Great Hall today. I wonder where the two buddies went off to hang out. They're probably celebrating their extra points in Potions class today.

Louis only saw Hermione with her afro hair taking small bites of toast, eating in a manner that really resembled that of a little beaver.

To be fair, while Catherine's tongue can be a bit sharp, her descriptions of things are truly incisive...

"Good afternoon, Louis." Miss Beaver sat down next to Louis with her tray. Draco's face flashed with disgust, but he dared not say a word.

After all, this is Louis's friend. He may dislike Hermione, but he has to give Louis face.

"Good afternoon, Hermione," Louise greeted her warmly and gently, folding her napkin diagonally and placing it on her lap.

After gracefully and calmly tidying himself up, he noticed Hermione's troubled face and couldn't help but smile and ask, "What's wrong?"

"Oh, I'm sorry, I just..." Hermione's face flushed, and she waved her little hands haphazardly, "I was just trying to figure out how to ask you..."

To ease Hermione's tension, Louis smiled gently: "Is there anything I can help you with, ma'am?"

"I just... I just wanted to ask you how you managed to practice magic to such a high level." Hermione's face was flushed.

"Me?" Louis thought for a moment, then replied, "Just a little bit of talent, plus relentless effort—have you ever seen Hogwarts at three in the morning, Hermione?"

In fact, Louis's talent shown in the system panel was not granted by the system, but rather it was something he was born with.

Hermione was stunned, and she shook her head.

"What people call genius is actually just one percent talent, but they don't see the ninety-nine percent perspiration behind it." Louis paused, swallowed the food in his mouth, and continued, "Sometimes talent doesn't matter. As long as you want to become a wizard, even the worst and most foolish wizard, that's enough."

"Many people have talent but don't work hard, while some people have average talent but work very hard. In the ancient East, there is a saying, 'The early bird catches the worm.' You only see my spell level, but you haven't seen the sweat I put into spells."

"Effort will never betray you. Although it may not achieve your goals, at least the fact that you tried will leave you with no regrets." Louis's inspirational quotes flowed effortlessly from his lips, and he truly believed this, whether in his past life or this one.

"I understand." Hermione's eyes blazed with determination. She clenched her fists and said firmly, "Thank you, Louise. I know what I should do."

She then left the auditorium with great interest.

"I don't understand, Louise." After Hermione left, Draco finally couldn't hold back any longer: "Louise, why did you talk to this mud-brick—I mean, Muggle-born…why did you talk to her so much?"

Louis didn't rush to answer his question. Instead, he picked up a napkin, lightly dabbed it at the corner of his lips, and said leisurely, "Draco, what do you think the term 'Mudblood' means?"

"Of course it's filthy, vile..." Draco said instinctively.

"So, what do you think a pure-blooded family like yours should be like?"

"Of course, they are noble... born aristocrats."

"Look at you, Draco," Louis replied with a light laugh, "to be a noble pureblood and yet to utter such filthy words... Do you know, Draco, that the nobility you uphold is disgraced by your words and actions?"

Draco opened his mouth as if to say something, but found that Louis's words left him speechless.

"But...do you think Muggle-born wizards should have the same status as us?" Draco asked cautiously, afraid of getting an affirmative answer from Louis.

"Draco, you need to understand something," Louis put down his napkin and said patiently, "We are all equal in terms of personality... Don't rush to argue. Even pure-blood families aren't necessarily elegant. Take your aunt Bellatrix, for example. Do you really think she's a normal person?"

Draco shuddered and shook his head as he recalled the picture of his crazy aunt in his family home.
