I'm the King of Curry at Hogwarts

Chapter 258 Dumbledore's Perverse Interest

Chapter 258 Dumbledore's Perverse Interest

The Weasley twins' protests were to no avail; Dumbledore was wary of them.

As the headmaster of Hogwarts, Dumbledore couldn't be said to know all the students, but he was at least quite familiar with troublemakers like the Weasley twins, though he usually just didn't bother with them.

To put it bluntly, Dumbledore knew exactly what shape the Weasley twins were going to poop the moment they raised their tails.

Old Deng is a seasoned veteran, and these two young foxes are using tricks he's already mastered back in the day.

"Finally, I want to remind every student who is going to participate in the election that this tournament is not a game, so don't participate rashly. Once a champion is chosen by the Goblet of Fire, he must see the game through to the end." Dumbledore said, looking at the Weasley twins with that meaningful gaze again, as if he were hinting at something, or perhaps warning them.

He paused for a moment before continuing, "Whoever drops their name into the cup is essentially forming a magical covenant that must be followed. Once you become a warrior, you cannot change your mind. Therefore, please think carefully before you do so, make sure you are truly determined to participate in the competition, and then drop your name into the cup—alright, I think everyone should go to sleep. Goodnight."

After he finished speaking, Headmaster Dumbledore left the guest of honor's seat.

"Age limit!" Fred said, his eyes gleaming. "That's easy. They'll definitely be fooled by the aging serum, won't they? Once your name is in that weird cup, you're in luck—I don't think that stupid cup can tell who's seventeen and who's under seventeen!"

As he spoke, he nudged Louis with his elbow: "What do you think, Louis? You must really want to participate in the Triwizard Tournament, right? Listen to me, use the age-enhancing drug..."

"Why use an aging agent?" Louis shrugged, picked up a piece of paper from the table, crumpled it into a ball, and threw it into the trash can from seven or eight meters away.

He shrugged and said with a smile, "See, as long as you don't give up, there are always more solutions than problems."

"We don't have that kind of ability," the twins said in unison, "so we can only choose to use an aging serum..."

Louis didn't say anything, but used a levitation spell to control the remaining piece of paper, which floated gently into the wastebasket.

"I have more than a dozen other methods, do you want to learn them?" Louis reached out and made a gesture reminiscent of Professor Wenger's classic domineering pose.

"That's impossible, Louise!" Hermione whispered. "Dumbledore would have thought of that; there must be something around to stop the spell!"

"That makes it even simpler." Louis looked around and pointed to a seventh-grader. "Think about it, what do you think would happen if I asked her to help me put my name in the Goblet of Fire?"

The twins and the trio exchanged glances, all seeing the surprise in each other's eyes.

Louis stretched out his right hand in a gesture of spreading his arms, and said with a look of exasperation, "Open up the big picture, brothers. There are many loopholes in the rules, and the aging agent is the most unreliable one—if the levitation spell can't pass, then the aging agent is even less likely to fool that line."

"That makes sense." George considered it carefully and agreed with Louis. "Then we'll listen to you and try each method once!"

A burning desire ignited in his eyes, while Harry looked on with longing, drooling as he imagined the glorious moment of winning the Triwizard Tournament trophy.

As they walked out, they bumped into Karkaroff. Harry politely stopped and let Karkaroff go first.

"Thank you," Karkaroff said casually, glancing at Harry.

He froze, turning his head back to Harry and staring at him intently, as if he couldn't believe his eyes. Durmstrang's classmates also stopped in their tracks.

They noticed their headmaster's blank expression and followed his gaze, which led them to the scar on Harry's forehead.

"That's right! That's Harry Potter!" came an angry voice from behind them.

Karkarov turned around abruptly and saw Mad-Eye Moody limping towards him. Moody's usually darting eyes were now fixed on Karkarov.

As everyone could see, Karkaroff's face displayed an expression that was a mixture of resentment and fear, a complex one indeed.

"It's you!" Karkaroff stared blankly at Moody, seemingly unable to believe he had actually seen him.

"It's me." Moody's face was grim. "If you have something to say to Potter, hurry up. You've blocked all the exits from the Great Hall, damn it..."

Moody was right; Durmstrang's group also numbered nearly twenty, and they were blocking the entrance, making it impossible for the others to squeeze out. Furthermore, Moody's voice was rather loud, causing the students behind to scramble and stand on tiptoe to see what was happening ahead.

Watching a spectacle is human nature, and curiosity is one of the essential aspects of human nature.

Karkaroff said nothing more. He gave Moody a deep look and then led the students away.

Louis noticed Moody's expression; his eyes were fixed on Karkaroff, and his face showed extreme disgust.

Barty Jr. wanted to maintain Moody's persona, but as a staunch supporter of Voldemort, he disliked Karkaroff and Lucius Malfoy the most. However, since he wasn't the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor this semester, he didn't have the right to lecture Draco or turn him into a weasel.

The next morning, Louis accompanied Catherine to the auditorium. Even though it was Saturday, it didn't dampen the students' enthusiasm for watching the spectacle.

Catherine's appearance drew the attention of all the students in the auditorium. Holding a piece of parchment, she haughtily surveyed the Beauxbatons and Durmstrang contestants, gracefully stepped over the age line, and threw the parchment with her name on it into the Goblet of Fire.

The flame in the cup flickered gently, accepting Catherine's letter.

Although she was in the same class as the Weasley twins, Catherine was born in the latter half of the year, making her a year older than them and thus eligible to participate in the Triwizard Tournament.

In other words, she was twelve years old when she enrolled, and now she is seventeen.

After Catherine returned to sit down next to Louise, the Gryffindor contingent made their grand entrance.

The Weasley twins, giggling and laughing, surrounded their friend Lee Jordan, whispering about what they had drunk. Passing Louis, they chuckled, "It's done! We each drank a drop of the aging serum, just now."

Louis shook his head, thinking to himself that these two idiots would never mind eating a hundred beans: "How does it taste?"

The three exchanged a glance and said in unison, "Perfectly bland, just right!"

Good grief, you three were all taught by the same master, weren't you? Master of Clothing?

"I'm sure Dumbledore must have considered this a long time ago. Good heavens... Have you thought about what the punishment will be if it doesn't work?" Hermione whispered a reminder to the three of them from behind.

But the three of them were already too engrossed in their own thoughts to listen to Hermione.

"Are you ready?" Fred asked, trembling with excitement.

"Ready?" Lee Jordan repeated, only to be slapped on the back by Fred.

"Don't mimic me!" Fred rolled his eyes at him and said to the two of them, "Well then—I'll go in first!"

Fred pulled a piece of parchment from his pocket, on which was written "Fred Weasley, Hogwarts".

He walked straight to the edge of the age line, stood there, and swayed on his tiptoes like a diver preparing to jump from a fifty-foot platform. Then, under the gaze of every pair of eyes in the auditorium, he took a deep breath and crossed the line.

For a fleeting moment, everyone thought Fred had succeeded, and George certainly thought so too. He shouted triumphantly and then jumped forward with Fred.

However, if nothing unexpected happens, something unexpected is about to happen.

Immediately afterwards, a strange hissing sound was heard, and with a squelch, the twins were thrown outside, as if an invisible hand had thrown them out.

Why is your invisible hand not used for macroeconomic regulation of the economy, but instead used to regulate two little wizards?

As Hermione expected, as the two fell to the ground, their chins made a loud thud, and then identical long white beards sprouted from their chins.

Louis looked at the comical twins and remembered a very poignant saying.

This is the only time Gemini has ever seen each other grow old.

The people in the auditorium burst into laughter, including Fred and George, who pointed at each other's white beards and couldn't help but laugh.

"I warned you," a deep voice said, with a hint of amusement in its tone. Everyone turned to see Professor Dumbledore approaching. He sized up Fred and George, his eyes gleaming. "I suggest you both go to Madam Pomfrey in the infirmary. She's already taking care of Miss Fawcett of Ravenclaw and Mr. Summers of Hufflepuff—they're having the same idea as you, though I must say, your white beards are far more impressive than theirs."

Fred and George went to the hospital, and Lee Jordan went with them, laughing incessantly like Shin-chan. The people in the auditorium were the same, chatting and laughing as they reminisced about the comical twins.

Louis took a piece of roasted tomato from Catherine's plate with a knife, forked it, and brought it to her lips, smiling as he said, "I told them both a long time ago, but they didn't believe me. See... they got what they deserved?"

Catherine hummed in agreement, stretched her neck, and took a bite of the tomato.

"Is it good?" Louis asked in a low voice.

"It's alright," Catherine smiled slightly.

"Shouldn't it be especially delicious? It should contain the taste of my love..." Louis chuckled.

Catherine rolled her eyes with an eye roll that seemed to contain an abundance of spinach, her gaze alluring and seductive.

Even though they've been married for a long time, Louis was still electrified by that flirtatious glance.

Another cheer erupted from the foyer. Louis looked up and saw Angelina Jensen from Gryffindor, the formidable Chaser on the Gryffindor Quidditch team. She grinned broadly, strode over to the Gryffindor seating area, sat down, and exclaimed, "Hey, I did it—I got my name in!"

"Are you seventeen yet?" Hermione asked in surprise.

"Of course, you didn't even see her beard," Ron said immediately.

Angelina smiled gently and said casually, "It was my birthday last week."

"Wow, I'm so happy! Gryffindor finally has someone to participate!" Hermione exclaimed excitedly. "I really hope you get chosen, Angelina!"

Angelina smiled slightly at Hermione and said, "Thank you for your support, Hermione."

"Yes, I'd rather it be you than that pretty boy Diggory," Simon Finigan said loudly, which earned him glares from several Hufflepuff students.

Louis pursed his lips, suppressing the urge to laugh. He asked Catherine, "How confident are you of being chosen? It seems there are many competitors for Hogwarts."

"It must be me," Catherine said without hesitation. She narrowed her long, thin eyes and glanced at Angelina and Cedric Diggory, who was chatting and laughing with his classmates not far away.

Cedric is a winner in life. Not only is he handsome, but he also does well in his studies, and he has a beautiful woman admiring him. Zhang Qiu's eyes are practically glued to him, as if he were a magnet firmly attracted to her gaze.

"A young man in a light spring robe, with a beauty by his side, tsk tsk, no wonder Harry envies him." Louis's voice was soft, but the tsk tsk sound was loud.

Catherine looked up at him and rolled her eyes, then scoffed, "Hmph, you're envious too?"

"Why would I envy him?" Louis shook his head. "Aren't you much prettier than that Zhang Qiu? I like your kind of aloof beauty."

"Speak more if you can." Catherine put down her knife and fork, rested her hands on the table, and looked at Louis with a smile.

Louis coughed, stood up, and whispered in Catherine's ear, "I love the contrast between your aloof and cold demeanor and your soft, pleading tone..."

Catherine froze, seemingly not expecting Louis to be so...so outrageous. Her long, slender fingers trembled as she pointed at Louis, her face flushed, unable to find the right words for the moment.

"You damn deer!" She glared at Louis viciously.
