I'm the King of Curry at Hogwarts

Chapter 260 Unexpected Situations

The entire audience held their breath, everyone thinking that Cedric was the final contender—after all, Dumbledore had said that each school would send one contestant. But to everyone's surprise, the Goblet of Fire had delivered this unexpected delight.

Dumbledore: You translate this, what is a surprise?

Louis knew that Dumbledore's accident was definitely faked. They had already discussed it last night. Grindelwald ordered Barty Jr., disguised as Moody, to throw the parchment with Harry's name on it into the Goblet of Fire, according to the original plan with Voldemort.

But the name Dumbledore then uttered made Louis realize that his astonishment was genuine.

"The warrior of Durmstrang—" Dumbledore quickly composed himself, "Vasily Petrenko!"

As Dumbledore finished speaking, a burly man stood up with a bewildered look on his face, scratching the back of his head like a silly goose.

They had no doubts whatsoever that Durmstrang had already decided that Viktor Krum would participate in the Triwizard Tournament, and the others were merely going through the motions—Kaklov had secretly ordered Viktor that all the other students, except Viktor, should not write their names on the parchment.

Karkarov was now staring at Vasily with a fierce look, as if he wanted to devour him.

Karkaroff has never hesitated to use any means necessary to deal with disobedient people, which is also his winning formula for standing out among the many principals of Durmstrang.

Vasily felt like he was suffocating. Of course, he could feel the malicious look in his principal's eyes. When they shook hands, Karkarov even said with a forced smile, "You're very good."

"It seems our Goblet of Fire has its own ideas." Dumbledore didn't have any reason to be angry. After all, everyone was a student who was over seventeen years old, and Vasily naturally met the requirements. Now that the Goblet of Fire had mentioned his name, it wasn't his or Durmstrang's problem. So he was just making a small joke.

Soon, the flames shot up again, hurling another parchment at Dumbledore.

Dumbledore took it, laughing and proclaiming, "From Beauxbatons, the heroine—Marilyn Chabanore!"

One of the two female students who had been crying in the Beauxbatons seat suddenly raised her head and looked at the main guest seat in disbelief. After receiving a nod of approval from her own principal, Mrs. Maxim, she wiped away her tears, lifted her skirt, and ran to the main guest seat to shake hands with the three principals.

Another female classmate who was crying cried even louder, as if afraid that others wouldn't hear her—we promised to grow old together, but you secretly got a hair treatment. This feeling of being betrayed made her feel even worse.

The other students also gave their applause, showing that the students at Hogwarts were very courteous.

Immediately afterward, another note popped out. Dumbledore caught it and, without pausing, shouted, "A hero from Hogwarts—Catherine Worre!"

Catherine stood up, glanced disdainfully at Beauxbatons and Durmstrang's classmates, and walked toward the head table with her neck held high—as if she weren't the one who had just been tightly gripping Louis's hand.

Slytherin responded with a warm and enthusiastic cheer, which came from the heart.

The students from the other three houses were not to be outdone, and they cheered enthusiastically. When Louis turned around, he even saw Hermione jump onto the table, raising her arms and cheering, making a loud noise with Ron.

"You were very nervous, Miss Worley," Dumbledore whispered to Catherine in a voice only the two of them could hear.

Catherine pursed her lips, gave Professor Dumbledore a symbolic handshake, and then the other two headmasters. Mrs. Maxime was delighted to see Catherine participating and offered several words of encouragement. When they reached Karkaroff, Lewis could clearly see the look of utter despair on Karkaroff's face, as if his mother had just died.

He had initially thought he had it all figured out when he saw that the Hogwarts champion was that pretty boy Diggory, but then Catherine suddenly appeared out of nowhere...

He vividly remembered Catherine's dashing figure when she beat up Durmstrang a month ago.

It's just like what I feared most has come to pass...

Catherine ignored Karkarov's expression, and after her fingertips touched Karkarov's hand briefly, she turned and walked towards the small door.

"Looks like this Triwizard Tournament is going to be quite exciting," Dumbledore said humorously. After waiting for a while, the Goblet of Fire finally fell silent. "It seems the Goblet of Fire won't be adding any new champions. As I said before, I believe that through everyone's efforts, we will be able to support our champions well—"

He had only spoken halfway when the sound of being slapped in the face came again.

Oh, it wasn't the sound of being slapped, but the crackling sound of the Goblet of Fire.

The Goblet of Fire turned red again, and a long tongue of fire curled up, delivering a charred parchment to Dumbledore.

The students held their breath again, because Dumbledore's expression was truly grim. After a long pause, Dumbledore cleared his throat and shouted loudly, "Harry Potter!"

"That's right, this is the real list," Louise thought to herself, secretly amused as she looked at Harry's bewildered expression.

The entire Great Hall was silent. Everyone knew that Harry was not yet seventeen years old—he was only in his fourth year and was only fifteen this year. How did he manage to fool Dumbledore's age limit?

In an effort to uncover the truth, everyone was whispering and making a jarring buzzing sound. Some students even stood up to get a better look at Harry.

Professor McGonagall stood up from the main seat and walked quickly past Ludo Bagman and Karkaroff, whispering urgently in Professor Dumbledore's ear. Dumbledore listened intently, his brow furrowing slightly.

Yes, they didn't inform Professor McGonagall about this, so the poor cat professor was completely kept in the dark by the old and young foxes.

"I didn't put my name in," Harry explained, looking dazed and confused. "You all know I didn't..."

Ron and Hermione stared at Harry with their mouths agape, wondering when he had secretly slipped the name in.

Harry turned to Louis and said pitifully, "Louis...you'll believe me, right?"

"I'd love to believe you too, Harry," Louise shrugged. "But it's not a big deal, just take it easy. Go on, Headmaster Dumbledore is calling you."

Harry was about to say something more when Dumbledore shouted again, "Harry Potter! Come here!"

The tone didn't sound very friendly, and Harry swallowed nervously, walking up to them with trepidation.

"Go ahead," Hermione urged in a low voice, giving Harry a nudge as if afraid he'd chicken out and wouldn't dare go up.

What does it mean to be best friends? (hands on hips)

Harry was completely bewildered and even made a small blunder—he stepped on the hem of his robe with his left foot, causing him to stumble.

After walking up to Dumbledore, Dumbledore looked at him for a moment, and said in his anxious gaze, "Well, Harry, go through that door."

Headmaster Dumbledore didn't smile at all until Harry went inside, at which point he solemnly announced that everyone could go back to their dormitories.

Filled with intense curiosity, the students whispered among themselves on the way back. Even Ron and Hermione were no exception. They surrounded Louise, asking Harry one after another if there was any special way to get past the age limit.

It even attracted the attention of Gemini and Li Qiaodan; the three of them didn't go back to their dorm room and followed Louis, hoping to get a definite answer.

"What have you two been up to these past few days? You don't know?" Louis frowned. "Think about Harry's character. Are you two the kind of people who keep secrets? Doubting a friend isn't something a gentleman should do. I think you should know that."

These words left the two speechless, and they lowered their heads in shame.

"But Potts did break the rules," Draco said casually. "Didn't you see Professor Dumbledore's face? I think Potts's in for a rough time this time..."

"Oh, shut up, Malfoy," Hermione snapped.

Draco didn't say anything, but pulled his lower eyelid with his index finger, stuck out his tongue and made a "slight" expression, which made Hermione roll her eyes.

"He's definitely in trouble," Louis shrugged. "I don't doubt his abilities, I'm just wondering how Professor Dumbledore is going to deal with him..."

"Is that even a question? The professor definitely won't let him get away with this," Draco said gloatingly.

Hermione and Ron didn't argue with him, but instead lowered their heads in deep thought. Draco's words made a lot of sense; Dumbledore was definitely going to teach Harry a lesson.

The impact was extremely negative! One can even imagine Professor McGonagall's comments.

Of course, this was not something Louis needed to worry about. He returned to his office and took a nap on the sofa until Catherine came back.

"How is it?" Louis asked with a smile, looking at the refreshed Catherine.

Catherine snorted, her delicate hand, clad in a white lace glove, making a decisive gesture: "The champion of the Triwizard Tournament will definitely be me!"

"Weren't you so nervous and disappointed that you squeezed my hand?" Louis teased with a grin, and Catherine gave him a cute eye roll.

"What about Harry's situation?" Louis asked again.

Catherine shook her head: "The headmasters of the other two schools were very angry, especially that Durmstrang headmaster, Karkaroff, who loudly questioned Dumbledore, putting the headmaster in a very passive position..."

"Of course, Harry was ultimately allowed to participate. After all, the Goblet of Fire has chosen him... Mr. Lovegood said the bylaws must be followed. The bylaws clearly state that anyone whose name comes from the Goblet of Fire must participate in the Triwizard Tournament." Catherine sighed softly, then gave an amused smile. "I think Professor Snape seems quite angry about this. He's said a lot of bad things about him in front of Harry, which has really infuriated him..."

"Oh? What did he say about him?" Louis asked with interest.

"He's a habitual offender who constantly breaks school rules, so it's not surprising that he caused this incident," Catherine said to Louis with a smile.

It seems Snape's sarcastic and unpredictable skills haven't diminished at all.

"And what about Harry? What did he say?" Louis asked, knowing the answer already.

“Harry, of course, vehemently denies that he put his name in the Goblet of Fire.” Catherine raised an eyebrow. “He also said he didn’t ask any older students to help him put his name in… That’s strange, then how did his name get in?”

"It's Dumbledore's plan, of course." Louis chuckled, looking at Catherine's puzzled expression, and quietly explained the whole story to her.

"...So, all of this was planned by Headmaster Dumbledore and you, little fox?" Catherine asked in surprise.

Louis shrugged, making a helpless gesture: "Of course, this is also part of the plan. After all, we need to figure out what the Death Eaters are up to. Speaking of which, you have to be careful. I have a feeling that this Triwizard Tournament won't be that simple."

"Hmm." Catherine nodded, then asked hesitantly, "So... what do you need me to do?"

"Take care of yourself." Louis took her hand and said with a smile, "If it's on your way, also protect Harry and Cedric. I have a feeling this tournament is going to be bloody."

"Okay." Catherine nodded without hesitation. "I will do everything I can to protect them."

After speaking, she paused, then asked, puzzled, "Speaking of which, since Moody is actually Barty Jr., that Death Eater in disguise, why does he have such a strong grudge against Karkaroff? I've seen him constantly clashing with Karkaroff, shouldn't he...?"

"Should we go along with it?" Louis laughed, squeezing Catherine's small hand. "The Death Eaters aren't a monolithic group. You know, Karkaroff was already considered a traitor by the Death Eaters. Fanatics like Barty the Younger definitely hate Karkaroff."

"So that's how it is." Catherine finally understood the whole story.

"I think Harry's in for a tough time tonight," Louis shrugged. "When he gets back to Gryffindor, I'm sure the Gryffindor students will be very 'enthusiastic,' you know. Even Hermione and Ron were just wondering if he secretly threw his name into the Goblet of Fire without telling them."

"But shouldn't Harry and Catherine know best what they've been doing from yesterday to today?" Catherine asked, frowning.

"You see, if my name suddenly appeared in the Goblet of Fire, and I vehemently denied ever throwing my name into it, what would you think?" Louis asked, spreading his hands.

"Someone is definitely trying to frame you!" Catherine replied without hesitation.

Louis was momentarily speechless. Goodness... this is unpredictable...
