I'm the King of Curry at Hogwarts

Chapter 290 Catherine's wrath is not something everyone can withstand.

Chapter 290 Catherine's wrath is not something everyone can withstand.

A cool breeze suddenly rose, blowing across the lake and creating ripples that also scattered the reflections of the surrounding stands on the water.

Karkarov comforted his beloved Viktor, neglecting Vasily.

In fact, Vasily had long been used to being ignored by Viktor. Ever since Viktor showed his Quidditch and magical talents when he entered the school, Karkaroff, who was eager to curry favor with him, had done just that.

But Georg, who was on good terms with him, couldn't stand it.

"Professor!" Georg protested, indignant on Vasily's behalf. "As the principal of Durmstrang, you should treat everyone equally, not show such blatant favoritism. Vasily is also a warrior in the Triwizard Tournament. Why do you ignore him but fawn over Victor? If that's the case, we might as well all drop out. You only need to teach Victor, and we'll save you a lot of trouble!"

Viktor blushed and lowered his head. Of course, he knew that this was not a good thing, but he couldn't refuse a toast from his boss or turn the table when his boss offered him food. That would be disrespectful.

Karkaroff showed no embarrassment whatsoever. He snorted and asked in a sinister tone, "Oh? You want to challenge me to a duel?"

Georg, neck stiff with indignation, retorted, "I dare not challenge the principal, but I know that a family with a child who dares to speak the truth will not ruin it; a country with people who dare to speak the truth has hope!"

"Oh, so you mean," Karkaroff coldly glanced at Georg, "that Durmstrang will go bankrupt if they don't listen to you?"

Georg twitched his lips and uttered, "Hard to say."

Karkarov flew into a rage, pulled a stick from under the table, and screamed hysterically, "You beast, I'll kill you... I'll kill you!"

Viktor and Vasily immediately rushed forward and hugged Karkarov. At the same time, Viktor turned back to look at Georg, who was still standing there like a dazed goose, and shouted in anguish, "What are you standing there for? Run!"

Georg seemed to wake from a dream, turned and ran, disappearing into the distance.

That speed was something Western journalists would have to admit defeat to.

Karkarov was furious and it took him a while to calm down. The principals didn't try to stop him or offer any comfort. Karkarov sighed, patted Vasily and Krum, and said, "Don't let me down."

He turned around and walked back to the referee's seat.

After a while, the other warriors arrived one after another, and the surrounding area was filled with people. Harry was the last to arrive; he ran as if sprinting, panting heavily.

"I thought you weren't coming." A domineering voice rang out; it was Karkarov.

Harry glanced at him but didn't say anything, and sat down next to Catherine.

"Miss Voree, are you going to forfeit?" Karkaroff's sarcastic voice rang out again. "It seems you don't care much about your boyfriend. Do you think this is a spell lesson in a castle?"

Catherine glanced at him indifferently, parted her lips slightly, and said coldly, "Your manners seem rather poor, Professor Karkaroff."

"What did you say?" Karkaroff stood up abruptly, pointing a trembling finger at Catherine. Since he became the principal of Durmstrang, no student from any school had ever spoken to him like that. How could this not enrage him?

"Professor Dumbledore taught me humility, but don't take that as an excuse for arrogance," Catherine said, pulling her wand from her bosom.

"You want to challenge a school principal? How arrogant!" Karkaroff glanced around.

Professor McGonagall moved quickly, yawning as she slumped onto the table for a nap; Headmaster Dumbledore's glasses fell to the ground with a clatter, and he groped around on the floor like Nobita, muttering to himself, "What's going on? Why can't I find them?"

Snape was even more straightforward; he didn't bother pretending anymore and simply covered his eyes with his hands.

However, a small gap was left.

Karkaroff couldn't help but think they were tacitly allowing him to discipline the disobedient students, so he quickly drew his wand.

Before he could even get into position, the wand spun and flew away.

Then, he felt dizzy and lightheaded as he was lifted into the air. A tremendous force then carried him into the lake, like a torpedo launching from its deck and hurtling into the water.

A Karkaroff successfully entered the water!

All the students present were stunned. No one could believe that Durmstrang's principal was no match for this sixth-grade student. In particular, the Durmstrang students were so shocked that their mouths were agape.

After a very long silence, someone started it up—it must have been a Gryffindor student, oh, it was Hermione—waving a Slytherin flag she'd somehow managed to steal, and shouting, "Worre! Worre!"

With Hermione leading the way, everyone started shouting Catherine's name loudly, their excitement was indescribable.

Elizabeth cheered loudly from the audience, shouting to the people around her, "See that? That's my sister-in-law, isn't she amazing?"

Undeterred by the cheers, Catherine manipulated Karkaroff's flight path with her wand in one hand while waving joyfully to everyone with the other. She alternated between the Summoning Charm and the Banishing Charm, and Karkaroff flew up and disappeared into the water like a stone skipping across a stream.

"Who... grunt grunt... special... grunt grunt... yo... grunt grunt... come... grunt grunt... save... grunt grunt... me..." Karkarov shouted intermittently, but no one responded to him.

It wasn't that there weren't any, but Viktor couldn't stand it any longer and stood up to ask Catherine for help, but Catherine just glanced at him and then looked back at her seat.

Rita Skeeter's quill pen was practically flying, rapidly recording the major events that had occurred before the match; the cameramen around her were snapping photos incessantly, almost causing sparks to fly from their cameras.

Normally, this photographer cherishes his camera the most, but with such a huge, explosive news event today, the camera? No way, he's really not familiar with it.

Five minutes later, Dumbledore finally "found" his glasses. He looked up, grunted, glanced around at the staff or faculty members who were pretending to be asleep or confused, then looked at the warriors and asked curiously, "Where is Professor Karkaroff?"

Harry pointed to Karkaroff, who was floating and screaming in the lake, and thought to himself, "Professor, even if you can't see him, can't you hear his screams?"

Professor Dumbledore then seemed to snap out of his daze and immediately stopped her, saying, "Alright, Catherine, what are you doing? Don't bully our... Headmaster Durmstrang!"

"But he spoke rudely." Catherine's gaze remained cold.

"Slytherin gets fifty points." Professor Snape's voice came just in time, with a hint of schadenfreude in it: "For Miss Volley's victory over a professor in a duel."

See, as expected of Snape, he summed it up in one sentence: it's a duel!

Catherine curled her lips slightly and used a summoning spell. Karkaroff flew back, baring his teeth and claws, and landed squarely on his seat like a drowned rat.

"You... ugh..." Karkarov was about to speak, but water came out of his mouth. He held onto the table and started spitting out the water. Right now, he didn't want to think about anything, he just wanted to vomit out the water in his stomach.

"The lake water at Hogwarts is delicious, and I hope your filthy mouth hasn't polluted our pure lake." Catherine looked at Karkaroff with her emerald eyes. "However, I'm starting to doubt your identity. With this level of magic, it's hard to believe you're the headmaster of Durmstrang. Could someone be impersonating you?"

At this point, Catherine covered her mouth with her delicate hand, clad in a white lace glove, her face full of feigned disbelief.

The subtext is, "No way, no way, there can't really be such a terrible principal..."

Everyone present heard this, including the audience, because Professor Snape, always eager to stir up trouble, secretly added a loud voice to Catherine's voice.

That's terrible, Professor Snape! He's going to use his cat fist to scratch me.

A burst of cheerful laughter erupted on the field. Nobody disliked seeing Karkaroff get his comeuppance; he was like a hamburger that had fallen to the ground and been stepped on—not a good patty at all.

Karkaroff looked as if he had been vomiting for an eternity, his face as pale as a drowned ghost from legend. Viktor patted his back with concern, trying to help him catch his breath.

After struggling for a while, Karkarov weakly raised his head. A cold wind blew, and his wet clothes hanging on his body made the cold even more biting.

Dumbledore sighed and quickly dried Karkaroff's clothes with a wave of his hand.

Karkaroff looked at Catherine with a sinister gaze, but ultimately did not utter the threatening words.

First of all, he is a school principal. It's already embarrassing enough that he can't beat the students, but to make threats would only make things worse.

Secondly, he is the kind of person who bullies the weak and fears the strong. He wouldn't even dare to retaliate against someone as powerful as Catherine, because he saw a trace of the Dark Lord in her.

Even if it's just an illusion, he has to take it seriously.

Catherine narrowed her emerald eyes, glanced at Karkarov with disdain, and strode back to her seat.

She could tolerate Karkaroff's sarcastic remarks about her, but she absolutely could not tolerate his insinuations about her feelings for Louis.

If it weren't for the large number of people watching today and the potential negative impact, I would have already used Transfiguration and the Crucifixion Curse.

"You're amazing, Catherine!" Harry whispered excitedly to Catherine.

"Yes, Miss Worley, I could never defeat a professor, let alone the headmaster," Cedric whispered, praising Catherine.

"Hmph." Catherine crossed her arms and gave a haughty snort to acknowledge the two's praise.

"If only it had been Little Deer who just praised me," she thought smugly. She wondered what that little rascal felt like soaking in the water. Was he scared? Waiting for her to rescue him?

At that moment, Ludo Bagman walked over, still wearing his khaki robe, and asked with a smile, "Is everything ready?"

Seeing that no one objected, he continued, "Alright, warriors, that was just a small incident. Now I want you to go to the shore and line up in a row. Yes, right now. The order doesn't matter; just stand wherever you like."

The warriors lined up in order, with Catherine standing at the very end.

She turned her head to see if Mr. Bagman was about to say something, just in time to see him walking towards Harry.

"How's it going, Harry?" Bagman led Harry a few steps back, away from Krum, and asked in a low voice, "Do you know what you're doing?"

"I know." Harry nodded solemnly. He knew, of course, that the purpose of this trip was to save Ron, and his good brother was waiting for him in the water.

Bagman gave Harry a firm squeeze on the shoulder and turned back to the referee's table. He pointed his wand to his throat, just like he did at the World Cup, and said, "Loud voice!"

His voice, like thunder, swept across the dark lake and reached the stands.

"Listen up, everyone! As you can see, our warriors are all in position! When I blow my whistle, the second event will begin. They have a full hour to reclaim what was stolen from them. I'll count to three... three... two... one... begin!"

A sharp whistle echoed in the cold, silent air, and cheers and applause erupted from the stands. Catherine didn't rush into the water, but instead watched what the other warriors were doing.

She saw Harry quickly take off his clothes, revealing a relatively thick swimsuit—after all, it was only early spring, and even in a temperate marine climate, it was still bitterly cold.

Harry pulled something out of his pocket and stuffed it into his mouth, then waded into the water like a toad. If I'm not mistaken, he must have been frozen by the icy lake water.

Catherine couldn't help but feel a little smug. It seemed that her choice was right. If she had gone into the water like those fools, she would have been frozen to death by the lake.

Harry was in a bad situation too. The icy lake water pierced his skin like a leech and scratched his bones like needles. His feet slipped constantly on the smooth and sharp pebbles, which was why he was running like a toad.

He chewed the gill-bag plant quickly and forcefully. The taste was a little unpleasant; it was chewy, slippery, and very tough, like an octopus's tentacles. He stopped in the waist-deep water, swallowed the plant, and waited for the miracle to happen.

The audience began to laugh at Harry's comical appearance. Catherine looked up and saw Harry standing there in a daze. Curious, she couldn't help but ask, "Harry, why don't you go into the water?"

"I'm waiting!" Harry shouted back. "Some things take a while to work!"

Well, now that he's eaten, he's got guts. Professor Snape on the shore froze upon hearing this, instantly realizing what the kid had eaten and where it came from...

Catherine didn't pay attention to Harry's answer. Instead, she picked up her wand, closed her eyes, and focused her mind. After a while, she pointed the wand forward.
