Chapter 39 Miss Worley Wants Me to Confess
"Oh, if that's the case. ◆Search 𝐆𝐨𝐨𝐠𝐥𝐞 for 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝟓𝟐𝟎𝐜𝐨𝐦◆" Professor McGonagall then looked at Hermione and pondered, "Miss Granger, you silly girl, how could you possibly think you could handle a giant monster the size of a mountain all by yourself?"
Hermione bit her lip and lowered her head, not daring to meet Professor McGonagall's gaze.
"Because of your recklessness...and arrogance, Gryffindor will have five points deducted." Professor McGonagall murmured as she gave the order to deduct the points.
The old lady was exceptionally strict with her students.
"I must say, Miss Granger, I'm somewhat disappointed in you."
Her gaze then turned to Catherine: "I must admit, Miss Worley, for a witch your age to deal with trolls so easily is more than just genius."
"Slytherin will receive 20 points for your actions." Professor McGonagall's gaze softened.
For the first time, she realized that Miss Worley's inner self might not be as aloof and cold as she had imagined.
Indeed, in the two or three years since Catherine enrolled, every time I've seen her, she's torturing her classmates with the upside-down bell toy—for example, the Weasley twins, who were hung from the ceiling for an hour just because they gave Catherine the nickname "Poker Face."
Either she was fighting against many, and she collapsed unconscious. I've never heard of her helping her classmates.
Harry looked at Professor McGonagall, then at Snape, and suddenly noticed that the hem of Snape's robe was torn open, revealing a hairy leg stained with blood.
Professor Snape sensed Harry's gaze and frowned, covering his injured leg. Harry looked at the wound on Snape's leg, feeling as if he was about to realize something, something that seemed so close yet so elusive.
"If none of you are hurt, please go back to your own houses. Your classmates are all enjoying Halloween dinners in their own houses," Professor McGonagall reminded the students in front of her.
"Then we're off, professors." The three little ones greeted each other politely. Catherine gave the three professors a ladylike bow and followed them out of the underground restroom.
"Alright...alright, I'll handle this troll...this is perfect...perfectly my area of expertise." Professor Quirrell's smile was forced. Just as he finished speaking, the troll on the ground sneezed, startling him.
Snape gave a disdainful sneer and followed Professor McGonagall out of the underground lavatory.
……
"So, I heard you saved Hermione?" Louis asked Catherine at the dinner table the next morning.
Harry and Ron had just told him about this, but when they saw Catherine approaching, they followed Draco and slunk away from Lewis's side.
Draco didn't get along with either of them, but intimidated by Catherine's power, he weighed the options and chose to dislike her over hanging upside down.
Draco has always been very astute in judging situations, a trait he inherited from his father. Like father, like son.
"It seems you have unusual feelings for Miss Beaver." Catherine nearly broke her fork by pressing it down, barely suppressing her displeasure as she said, "Look at that affectionate nickname, it's making me want to throw up..."
There was a hint of sourness in the senior's words.
Generally speaking, unless they were very close, Louis should have called Hermione "Granger" or "Miss Granger." But in reality, Louis and Hermione's relationship was only that of ordinary friends, and logically speaking, it hadn't developed to the point where he could call her by her first name—although he had indeed called her that before.
He said that to his senior simply to tease her.
Louis sensed the sourness in her voice, but he simply wanted to tease her: "Yes, I do have unusual feelings for her. I don't know if you've noticed, but she's actually quite cute."
Catherine looked up and glanced indifferently at Hermione, who was chatting happily with Ron, and said coldly, "You really do have an eye for finding gold in mud."
Goodness, Louis suddenly remembered the bottle of aged vinegar he bought when he traveled to Shanxi years ago.
"How about... Miss Beaver accompanies you to the Room of Requirement to practice spells every day? That way, I can save some time. I don't have the mood to play with a childish kid like you." The senior's tsundere attitude came out.
Don't you know that the "tsundere" archetype has been phased out, senior? Or are you still the blonde tsundere type? If you tie your hair in pigtails, you'll just look like a loser, you know.
As she spoke, she gripped the fork tightly in her hand, and the fork handle began to deform from the excessive force.
Her mind was a mess. She didn't want to say such things, but she said them unconsciously. She regretted it now. What if she really pushed Louis to Beaver's side?
She felt as if a bone was stuck in her throat, and it hurt a lot.
"How about... I confess my feelings to her?" Louis asked leisurely, resting his chin on his hand and rubbing his middle and ring fingers together.
Catherine slowly turned her head, her cold gaze fixed on Louis, and suggested in an unimaginably chilling tone, "I think, why don't you, Mr. Mountbatten, confess your feelings to her right here, in front of the whole school?"
"Great idea!" Louis slapped his thigh. "Let's do it!"
He then looked at the senior student, patted her shoulder, and said with a smile, "It's perfect that you're here, Worley, so you can be my witness."
Catherine's pupils contracted sharply, then quickly returned to normal. She forced a tremor and said, her voice trembling slightly, "Okay, I'll...watch from here."
I practice spells with you every night, and all I get in return is a "Vorley"? Catherine's fork was already bent at a 90-degree angle. She secretly decided that when she got back, she would return the "Leaf" to him.
I don't want that disgusting scumbag's magic wand.
Louis stood up, cleared his throat, and gave himself a voice-enhancing spell. He wanted to say, "OK, students, everyone look at me, I have something to announce," but he held back.
Isn't this the Declaration of Independence?
Catherine watched Louis's movements, breathing heavily, her knuckles turning white from clenching her fists. Finally, the fork gave way under her strain and snapped completely in two.
She felt as if her heart was being twisted violently, it hurt terribly, and all the strength in her body seemed to be drained away. Waves of hot and cold sensations, seemingly from nowhere, surged up to her head, making her dizzy.
She forced herself to remain calm, her gaze fixed intently on Louis, who stood there.
Should I use the Fiendfyre spell or the Imperishable Curse? A dangerous glint flashed in Catherine's eyes.
