I'm the King of Curry at Hogwarts

Chapter 6: If you fail the exam, you can try again!
Level 5 Fluorescent Blink doesn't normally require incantation, but Louis thought it best to keep a low profile, so he recited it anyway. [Remember this site's domain name]
Even so, he still stands out from the crowd.
On the ship, Neville nearly fell overboard due to the overcrowding. Luckily, Ron reacted quickly, preventing an accident.
To Louise's surprise, there was not only Professor McGonagall at the entrance of Hogwarts Castle, but also a middle-aged man with greasy hair and a hooked nose.
It was Snape.
"Mr. Louis Mountbatten, please come with me." Snape's greasy voice interrupted Louis's thoughts.
Louis suddenly realized that Professor Snape, the old bat, was waiting for him.
He obediently stepped forward and, under the worried gazes of Harry, Ron, and Neville, followed Snape into the castle.
Turning right upon entering, Snape led Lewis to the broom shed next to the Great Hall.
"Tell me," Snape said with a sinister smile, "our distinguished freshman—who assaulted three classmates on a train, breaking their arms. You, who have attended Muggle schools, should know the consequences of assaulting classmates. I think our distinguished Mr. Lewis will give me a reasonable explanation. What do you say?"
He emphasized the two instances of "outstanding".
"Of course, Professor." Louis gave a polite bow and slowly took out a voice recorder.
He didn't just shoot randomly; he came prepared.
Under Snape's questioning gaze, Louis pressed the play button.
When Louis heard Marcus call Neville a "snotty-nosed snotty," he noticed Snape's face twitch slightly. Until the recording ended, Snape's facial expression remained expressionless, like a poker card.
"I know, Professor, 'Mudblood' is an extremely vile term." Louis put away the recorder. "No cultured person would call someone that—someone as brilliant as you, Professor, should have never understood Neville's feelings, right?"
Snape slowly looked at Louis, a puzzled look in his eyes.
"I think the professor has never been called 'snotty-nosed' before, let alone been humiliated by being hung up and having his pants pulled down—"
Louis was certain he hadn't meant it; the conversation had just gotten a bit heated, and he had absolutely no intention of reopening Snape's wounds. He swore to the lamp!
"Enough!" Snape's expression shifted between anger and uncertainty, and at the same time, the lights behind him went out with a "poof." His voice seemed to come from the deepest part of his throat: "Enough! Go to the Sorting Ceremony, and remember, your house will lose twenty points for your behavior on the train!"
Louis asked innocently, "Then, Professor, if I were assigned to your college—"
"A reckless troll like you... will only be assigned to Gryffindor," Snape said with certainty.
By the time Louis arrived at the Great Hall, the Sorting Ceremony had just begun. After the tattered hat had finished its rambling song, Professor McGonagall, clutching its tip, began reading the list.
"Hannah Abbott!"
"Hufflepuff!" A comical voice rang out, and Louis looked up to see a little blonde witch with twin ponytails walking excitedly toward the Badger House seats, greeted by friendly and gentle Badger House upperclassmen who gave her enthusiastic applause.
Louise even noticed that a chubby ghost was waving happily at her.
"Susan Burns!"
"Hufflepuff!"
"Terry Boot!"
"Ravenclaw!"
The list for the Sorting Ceremony was arranged alphabetically by last name, and soon it was his M group's turn.
"Draco Malfoy!"
Louis looked up and saw a cocky boy with pale blond hair sitting in a chair, his hat not even touching his hair, before shrilly assigning him to Slytherin.
When no one was looking, Malfoy secretly breathed a sigh of relief.
"Louis Mountbatten!"
Professor McGonagall called out Lewis's name.
Louis walked through the side door of the auditorium, his handsome, almost devastatingly cute face causing the students to whisper among themselves. His every move exuded elegance, as if it were innate—but Louis knew the bitter truth: it was something he had subtly learned during his eleven years of a life of hardship in the aristocracy.
Professor McGonagall, seeing that he was seated, placed the Sorting Hat on Lewis's head.
"Elegant, so very elegant," the hat's voice rang in Louis's ears.
Louis sat up straight, but the next sentence almost made him break down in his composure.
"Hmm...it seems the ideas you've been exposed to don't quite fit this school. I think Nurmengard might be a better fit for you?"
On the faculty and staff table, Principal Dumbledore gradually sat up straight, his eyes fixed on Louis, as if trying to see through him completely.
Louise's mind went through five periods. What? Hogwarts is going to open a sixth house besides Azkaban?
Are you out of your mind?! This isn't a system of assigning people to jobs... The Azkaban only holds ordinary lunatics or murderers, but what kind of people are in Nurmengardry? Failed art students from the wizarding world...
Others would retake the exam if they couldn't get into art school, but he would fight a war if he couldn't be elected Minister of Magic.
In the Nuremberg court, it would at least be a Class A, Grade A judgment.
Even with his back to the faculty seating area, Louis could guess that he was probably already being watched by Dumbledore.
"I can sense your ambition; it's etched into your very bones—don't deny it, child, perhaps you yourself haven't even realized it, ha... that was just a little joke the old man played on you."
"Gryffindor? Hmm... You have unparalleled courage, a child of noble birth, yet... Hmm, believe me, even Godric himself doesn't have such courage."
Louis thought to himself, "I can tolerate you only saying half of what you mean, as long as you can get me into Gryffindor, that would be fine too."
"Then..." the hat stopped whispering and called out, "Gran..."
Louis was overjoyed; it was like a pillow coming right when he was sleepy.
But how could that pesky old hat let Louis get his way? With a sudden, unexpected twist of his voice, he declared, "Slytherin!"
This sudden outburst nearly gave Louis a back injury. The instant Professor McGonagall picked up the Sorting Hat, he whispered to the hat, "I'll remember this favor, Mr. Hat."
Sparse applause rippled through the Slytherin seating area. Louis wasn't the pureblood they were looking for, and might not even qualify as a half-blood wizard, so it would be strange if he received such a warm welcome from the little snakes. Snape, on the faculty side, seemed to be petrified the moment he heard the Sorting results. It took him a while to react, and with a look of utter dismay on his face, he reluctantly clapped twice as a token gesture.
Ron and Harry, who hadn't yet been sorted into their houses, whispered to each other, lamenting that Lewis hadn't been sorted into Gryffindor.
Louis walked straight to his Slytherin seat without looking to either side. Looking around, he spotted the blonde upperclassman from the train.
He sat down next to his senior with an air of nonchalance, a refreshing, cool fragrance lingering in his nostrils.
The Slytherin students leaned back slightly, filled with awe at Louis's actions.
Louise didn't think she had done anything wrong. She simply said "Hello, senior" and then calmly turned around to continue watching the sorting ceremony.
As Dumbledore's gaze swept over the faculty seating area, a glint in his half-moon spectacles caught Louis's eye. He then saw the Headmaster give him a slight nod, which Louis politely returned.
He could easily understand that he had been targeted by Deng.
Yes, and Snape too.
Why was he so certain? Because that lingering chill didn't disappear until Professor McGonagall called Harry's name.
But it didn't really matter. Louis thought to himself that his unambitious personality, ordinary background, laid-back attitude towards life, and unremarkable appearance...
It shouldn't attract too much attention... right?
With the last student sorted into Slytherin, the Sorting Ceremony finally came to an end. After Professor McGonagall rolled up her parchment, grabbed the Sorting Hat, and returned to her seat, Headmaster Dumbledore stood up, beaming, and opened his arms wide: "Welcome, welcome to Hogwarts for the new school year! Before the feast begins, I'd like to say a few words: idiots, crybabies, scumbags, wimps, thank you all."
"Now, let the banquet begin!" With a gesture of his hands, a sumptuous feast was laid out on the table in front of each student.
When Louis turned around, the senior student next to him had already put away the book she was reading and was eating the food in front of her in small bites.
He was also a bit hungry after a long day of bumpy travel—he had only eaten half of Ron's sandwich on the train and had also gotten a chocolate frog from Harry, so his stomach was now completely empty.
The inertia of eleven years of life in the British aristocracy was undoubtedly terrible. Thanks to the coercion of his grandfather, Louis Mountbatten the Elder, the tireless cramming education by the court tutors sent by his aunt and godmother, and the teachings of his sister Diana, even though he was starving, he subconsciously adhered to that rigid etiquette and ate slowly and deliberately.
