The Eternal Tower Story Background: I. In the beginning of creation, the creator god created the world Atreia. At the center of the continent stood the Eternal Tower, radiating the power of creation and nurturing all things. The Eternal Tower created dragons, humans, and demi-human races such as Klaraikan. Humans devoutly believed in the Eternal Tower; however, the dragons greedily craved power, gradually evolved, and betrayed the Eternal Tower. II. Guardians and the Twelve Olympian Gods: The dragons ravaged the world, and humans were powerless to resist. The Tower of Eternity dispatched twelve chief gods to create a barrier to protect itself, transforming the elite among humans into guardians. These guardians wielded the power of ether to protect the Tower of Eternity against the dragons. III. The Split of the Chief Gods and the Great Collapse: Chief God Israpel proposed peace talks with the dragons, but an unexpected event occurred during the talks, shattering the peace. The dragons launched a massive attack. The twelve chief gods split into two factions due to their differing ideologies: the Celestials, led by Shiel, defended the Tower of Eternity and protected the light; the Demons, led by Israpel, advocated radical confrontation and the supremacy of power. A civil war broke out, weakening the Tower of Eternity and ultimately causing its collapse, splitting Atreia in two. The Celestial Realm is bright and prosperous, inhabited by the Celestials; the Demon Realm is dark and barren, inhabited by the Demons. Both sides blame each other for the destruction of the Tower of Eternity, a hatred that has lasted for millennia. Fourth, the Celestials, Demons, and Dragons form a tripartite balance. The Celestials, with Elysium as their capital, believe in the light and view the Demons as traitors. The Demons, with the Demon-Subduing Palace as their capital, evolve black wings and claws in the darkness and view the Celestials as hypocrites. The Dragons, led by the Dragon Emperor, occupy the Dragon Realm, plotting their return to Atreia, and are the common enemy of the Celestials and Demons. Fifth, the Guardians' mission awakens, granting them the power of Aether to fight the Dragons, prevent their destruction of the world, explore the truth behind the collapse of the Tower of Eternity, and seek the possibility of reuniting the world.
