"Levitt, still haven't found your two companions?" one of the team members asked.

Levitt shook his head and replied, "I'm really worried about Gray Rat and Rose. They got separated from us before the goblin attack, and I'm in the town of Zendar now, but I haven't been able to find them yet."

This is not a lie; Levitt did indeed search for traces of gray squirrels and roses in the town of Zendar, but to no avail.

"That's how adventurers are, be prepared." Bearskin spoke bluntly. "Those goblins are very different. Although other adventurers treat hunting commissions as a joke, we've already reported this to the association, and we've received information from within the association that it's not just those goblins who have become special."

Levitt was taken aback: "What do you mean?"

"It means that more goblins are becoming special," Bearskin replied.

Bearskin's words reminded Levitt of the rotten knife. Could it be that the rotten knife was special, but not unique?

Has the goblin species evolved?

"If this continues, the goblin threat will no longer be limited to certain regions," Bearskin said with a serious expression as he drank his wine.

Bearskin is a paladin, but based on his appearance, Levitt initially thought he was a warrior or a barbarian.

As a paladin, Bearskin possessed a strong sense of justice, principles, and goals, so Levitt didn't find it out of place in this chaotic place where good people were hard to find.

However, Levitt secretly disagreed with Bearskin's view on goblins.

In the tavern, adventurers chatted about everything from sex to current politics; the bard played his lute and flute; beautiful women began to sing and dance; and Levitt's face flushed.

He chatted a lot with Xiongpi and his group, and of course, he didn't forget to be a curious child himself.

When he encountered something he didn't recognize, he would ask the people at the table. At first, they patiently answered his questions, but later some of them got annoyed with him and jokingly called him a country bumpkin.

But Levitt didn't care about that; he was overjoyed as he watched his knowledge points increase.

"Levitt! Can you find a team?" Bearskin, who was three-tenths drunk, hugged Levitt tightly and asked with concern.

Perhaps it was out of pity for Levitt that the bearskin was extending an olive branch.

Two team members overheard the conversation, their faces flushed with intoxication and showing signs of reluctance.

Levitt noticed this small detail, but even if they were all willing, Levitt wouldn't join in.

Although he was eager to witness the various abilities of the Big Bear Adventure Team firsthand, Levitt wanted to find the Rotten Knife, so he couldn't travel with the others.

"I think I can take the risk myself," Levitt said with a smile and a wave of his hand. "I'd just be a burden to you all."

"I think Levitt is lucky to be alive; young people should always be given some opportunities."

"Yeah, if Levitt joins the group, what kind of work do you want him to do? And how much money will you allocate to him?"

"Wouldn't it be better if we took Levitt to register an adventure guild tomorrow, and he collected the official subsidies himself?"

The team members spoke one after another, their expressions all amicable, but the underlying message made Xiong Pi a little more sober.

He knew he was being a bit temperamental.

"Alright then! If you encounter any difficulties, come find us." Bearskin nodded and patted Levitt on the chest.

"Do you have any advice for a novice adventurer?" Levitt asked, looking at the group.

The team members exchanged glances, and one of them said, "In the best-case scenario, you'll need to prepare a lot of things—"

"A dagger is always the best tool and weapon, whether you're eating or killing... When all your teammates are down, you can at least stab them once and then die gloriously."

"The monster flies in the sky, and even if you jump on the ground, you can't reach it. That's when you need a crossbow. Even a fool can use it, unlike a bow which requires skill."

"You'll also need ropes to climb walls, tie up prisoners, bandage wounds, set traps, pull teammates up, lower teammates down, tie teammates to chairs and ask them why they opened that treasure chest..."

Before the man could finish speaking, others chimed in to add their own comments.

"Remember, an adventurer's first pot of gold often doesn't come from quest commissions!"

As expected of a seasoned adventurer, just hearing this makes Levitt feel that he is far superior to the bunch of lousy fish and shrimps of the Flower Moon Adventure Team.

After a series of conversations, Levitt's knowledge exploded, and his level of insight improved without him even realizing it. Just as he was about to check his progress, someone passed by and bumped into him.

"Clatter—" The wine glass and wooden plate fell, getting all over Levitt.

Isn't this the guy who just came into the tavern?

"Are you blind?"

Before Levitt could speak, the hooded man turned the tables and accused him.

The Bearskin Adventurers didn't take it seriously at first, since everyone in the tavern was drunk and bumps and scrapes were inevitable, and adventurers rarely caused any trouble.

But when the hooded man said that, they all looked over at the same time.

Regardless of their relationship, they were all eating at the same table, and one of the team members spoke up: "You bumped into Li Weite first, didn't you?"

"Levitt?" The hooded man turned to Levitt, displeased, and said, "He bumped into me first, and I didn't even drink."

Is this bastard deliberately picking a fight?

Levitt had been drinking, but he wasn't drunk. He really couldn't understand why this person would deliberately disgust him.

What? Did you just glance at the tavern entrance and make eye contact with him?

Another otherworldly Jiahao?

With your face covered by a hood, how could I possibly be staring at you?

Levitt was sobered up a bit from the alcohol, and the noisy atmosphere around him quieted down a bit, with a hint of tension creeping over the table.

"Ahem—what's going on?" A deep voice came from the corner of the tavern. Looking over, you could see two or three strong men, who were the tavern's security guards.

"Tch, newbie." The hooded man left with a hostile tone.

"Tsk." Levitt frowned as he looked at the other person's back.

If they weren't in a tavern, he would have asked Bearskin and the others to teach that stupid dog a lesson.

The man with the bulbous nose had witnessed everything, and when the hooded man passed by, he vomited at him.

Suddenly, the hooded man's scream echoed throughout the tavern.

Upon seeing this, Levitt's lips curled into a smile.

You're really going to repay me?

Levitt glanced away, leaving the trouble to the person with the red nose.
